QUOTE(andychee81 @ Oct 13 2008, 01:29 PM) yeah can do a pre-Mizuno 10k DH with you all of you on Sat. I am also planning to skip my 25k run to reserve for Sunday. This Sunday is to test my speed again (not that I can run very fast). See how fast I can whack the hills and come back in one piece. If interested we can do it at 6am but the NIKE trial is at 5am, gotta chk with Phoenix and see if he can get NIKE to shift the time. |

QUOTE(d3vilzzzz @ Oct 16 2008, 04:33 AM) d3vil, i never like to run in the afternoon or evening for my workouts. too stuff n hot most of the time, unless it rains an hour or two b4 your run. FYI, i normally do my runs in the morning, the air is fresher and i can run better. the only setback for someone is to wake up earlier. i m used to it, so no effect for me.Added on October 16, 2008, 1:25 pm QUOTE(jason991 @ Oct 15 2008, 11:27 PM) just come an join as a phantom runner loh This post has been edited by ccube: Oct 16 2008, 01:25 PM |

its was good to meet up with all of you this morning. so we all know the reverse route of Double Hill is a lot easier to run but can be bad for the knees especially those long stretch of downhill. for those running tmrw, all der best and do enjoy the run. seeya.

hi all, i hope you do enjoy the run this morning. as the simulation run show us what is the effect of running Double Hill in the reserve, it was indeed with a lot of downhill (bad for the knees) and a very fast course. i was very surprised with the time I ran and able to sustain that kind of pace throughout. the simulation run on Sat did give me some idea when to push and when to reserve energy for some hill climbs. anyway till the next race !!!!

QUOTE(grabulasa @ Oct 19 2008, 06:19 PM) Great run today. Did it in 65 mins (was aiming for <60, oh well). Way cooler/scenic compared to klang last week but the hills were killer siot......I got a bit excited and sped in the beginning which resulted in me cursing myself after the 2nd hill or so. Be interesting to see the timing chip results. Grabulasa, if u need another pair of running shoes do let me know as I am selling Saucony. All 2008 models are at 40% discount, anytime better than those offer at the mall (as i believe all those are older models)Oh, went to klcc after the run, and Brooks@Isetan was at 30% off, so bought me a pair of Brooks Glycerine (lime green). Time to retire my 2 year old Asics GT2110. I started my love for running with this shoe. We had good times together. |

QUOTE(ironrashid_2k2 @ Oct 22 2008, 06:23 AM) There are one hotel somewhere near Greentown business centre where it is quite near to the starting point robocop, this year KRI 12k start at Tmn Sri Botani (not in Greentown). so the nearest hotel is Hill City along Jln Gopeng, near all the limestone caves where the temples are. |

QUOTE(meatball88 @ Oct 22 2008, 05:46 PM) hi metalfreak...thanks for the friendly advice. meatball, wah Sun Tzu ART OR WAR woh!!!!! Good Good Good.i personally think b4 we go to a battle we need to know the enemy...in every race i need to know the terrain as i never run in the race b4. Info is needed for preparation, to conquer fear and to ensure victory.. GE30k 1st loop is 10k - you will have to run the Double Hill route (not the reverse like Mizuno Wave last week) Then the next 20k you will have to run from the junction where JKR is all the way to Hartamas Petronas kiosk and then all the way back to LG Tapak A. This 20k is a hilly route especially at Kompleks Kerajaan and Plaza Damas. Watch out for these hills. That will complete the 30k run. Hope this helps. |

Pain will make you come out stronger. |

QUOTE(Riq @ Oct 23 2008, 08:16 AM) Guys, riq, a group of us will be doing a 30k this Sat in preparation for Pg Marathon. As for the Nike LunaTrainer, it doesnt suits me at all. I dont find the support and stability in the shoe especially when going high speed and at corners. the shoe actually wobbles and the heel-toe transition is not as smooth as i thot. i had pressure pain at my arch after the run. luckily it lasted only 1 day and thats only doing a slow 10k during our simulation run. this shoe is definitely not for me.Thank you for your encouraging words. It does help me, especially mentally. I will definitely give it a go when the registration for GE30K is officially open. Register first...think later.... Today I’m going to register the der pacemaker NYR 2009. First race for 2009... Oh, by the way, Nike will continue their Lunars trials this weekend. You guys going? |
