Disappointed not being able to run for Mizuno after training so hard. I will try running over here soon as possible... Hopefully its not too cold.gotta plan sikit. either I do short runs before work or long runs after work. I'll see how dark and cold it is after work. We normally finish by 5.30pm...depending on work. |

I will train hard for the half marathon =)
Went to the park nearby edi... not to say fantastic. The pathway to run is quite narrow. Its just grass and sand...not those pavement type. Need to get used to the weather I DID sweat but let me try with the vest =) Plan to do at least 1 hour run. OK lah. thatz all for my short updates. Sidenote: There were ppl walking, walking with their dogs...riding horses.... |

QUOTE(meatball88 @ Oct 22 2008, 04:46 PM) no offense bro but u worry too much about the hills.U will get stronger because of it. Sure u may worry now but when u run, your body will adjust to situations. Uphill = shorter strides but maintain rhythm. It takes time. As your legs gets stronger, hills are nothing. When you run downhill, do not lean forward or backwards to slow yourself down. Let gravity do the work but you dont go too fast lah hahaha. I won't say I'm THAT good but I dare to say that I've improved =) Read more on tackling hills on runnersworld website and of course train. Added on October 22, 2008, 5:16 pmbtw =P You're a fast runner hehe keng This post has been edited by metalfreak: Oct 22 2008, 05:16 PM |

QUOTE(meatball88 @ Oct 22 2008, 05:46 PM) hi metalfreak...thanks for the friendly advice. LOL now u make me worry about hills i personally think b4 we go to a battle we need to know the enemy...in every race i need to know the terrain as i never run in the race b4. Info is needed for preparation, to conquer fear and to ensure victory.. Anyway, around here at my service apartment (Wimbledon) the hills and roads are nicer to run compared to the park (Wimbledon Common) =) I'll see If I'm running today haha. but it gets freaking cold around 5.30pm. |

I'll just try my best if I can do it next week. I'll be in Paris over the weekend. After this week, I'm free edi...no more touring. probably can scout for jackets and stuff for running. |

QUOTE(lionel87 @ Oct 29 2008, 09:10 PM) Well, i believe you are running with a sweater and thick track pants on. You may also put on gloves and a snow cap. Shouldn't be too bad, perhaps you are still adjusting to the weather. I personally feel its still ok to run at zero degrees. But when it gets to minus twenty, don't do it. Hahaha. Not easy man. Damn my running shoe seriously wearing out. I brought my running shoe, leather shoe and 1 camel sandals only. I know I shouldn't be using my running shoe as my normal outdoor shoe but that saved me from bringing so many stuff.I will definitely get one new one when I'm back at malaysia. I bought 2 long sleeve running vest from nike... Fast Switch 3 was it? Frank? tolong..... I'll see what I can get from the shop. I just hope they will recommend me some proper running attire for these weather |

GUYS! I can't wait. 2 more weeks before I return home to Malaysia.
Sigh, I doubt I have enough time to train for my 1st half marathon. I plan to run this weekend as I'm not going any where at Wimbledon. I just pray that it won't drizzle and won't be too cold. Can't wait to be back and resume my usual running training for any future runs. Till then, I'll bulk with more budweisers, Stella Artois, sandwiches and pasta. Good luck to everyone that is running in the IOI community run this weekend |

OK just read about the GE run 2009.
I will most likely join the 20KM run...I'll see how it "feels" first during the standard chartered marathon. I'm seriously going to suffer soon. By the time I get back Msia, I'll try my very best to do 3 - 4 more 10KM runs before 5th of December and that is about it. |
