Yeah me too. I just try2 and the representative said that even though I still got 6 month remaining contract, I am their loyal customer and thus entitled for SWU 5.0. Since I'm looking for cheaper alternative, I just accepted it and within 2 days, my package changed in the unifi self care web.

normally around 1 to 2 month. But surely hard. the easiest way is to apply for termination on unifi self care and wait until they call you. If they cant give it, then say you want to cancel the termination and wait until your contract ended. Mine still 6 month contract left and still got SWU5.0 offer. for 500mbps RM90, I think you need to at least has your contract ended for them to offer you.

I got another unifi account with also 6 month contract left. That one with 500mbps for RM119. Thinking to apply termination and try asking for 500mbps for RM90. Btw I really got offer from astro for their wifi kencang 500mbps/RM90.

Hi, I applied for Unifi via online and received an email saying need to pay upfront fee of RM88 upon installation. I asked the live chat agent, apparently it is for port demand or booking fee.

What fee is this and is this applicable to everyone that apply for unifi installation?

Also which is the correct app to use, Unifi UniVerse or MyUnifi?

So technically meaning you are on 18th~19th month contract and have courage to terminate and gamble ?

I just ended my 6th months free billing (out of 24) SWU 4.0 - 300mbps (RM119/m) and think of test luck whether can get SWU 5.0 - 500mbps with Disney Plus Hostar by upgrading without changing price

If you applied through agent, some of them have upfront fee that you must pay during installation. The fee is paid to TM, not to agent.
To ensure no upfront fee, please apply at Tmpoint.

I applied via online, not though agent. Already found out what fee is that, it's so called demand fee because my area has no coverage. But there is no mentioned about this at all during application. So unsuspecting customer will be charged with this hidden fee. How would one know whether there is coverage or not when I keep getting unifi broochures in my postbox and unifi banners everywhere. Such an underhanded tactic to charge hidden fee due to them not able to provide coverage at the first place.

Yes. You can also access the web management in bridge mode by manual config computer ip & use LAN4.

Thinking of moving to astro, not because unifi bad but very difficult to terminate astro subscription. Already twice kena sidai after long wait on the phone

Do you all know how long after due date will Unifi suspend a residential account?

For example: Bill date: 13/4. Due date: 4/5. Today 8/5 is 5 days past due and received email reminder.

20250504: Due date
20250508: Email Received: Your Unifi Account is Due
20250516: Email Received: Your Unifi Account Will Be Suspended
20250519: Suspended
