Yes, I applied for termination through Unifi Self Care, so this is considered counter offer from unifi. I also asked the representative about any penalties from the remaining contract. He confirmed that there wouldn’t be any penalties, as this falls under the SWU 5.0 offer.

Previously, I was on the SWU 3.0 package, 500Mbps with Aneka - RM149 and later switched to the SWU 5.0 package with 100Mbps. When I first signed up for SWU 3.0, I received a 6 month free bill. So, in total, I would get about a year of free bill from the start of the SWU 3.0 plan until the supposedly end of contract period in October 2025.

With 17 months left, you better just stay on and wait for SWU 6.0. Do not ever try to terminate, as they can also play back by imposing remaining months penalty which is a lost for you.

not to say gamble since termination come after they call you. So if you dont want to terminate, then mention to the representative that call you if they say no promo and need to pay penalty. For your case, I don't think they will offer you that SWU5.0 package since you still way early on your contract period. They will just offer you the normal package for normal customer.

For my case, I think it depend on the unifi person that call you, some may offer you but some will not since you are still in your contract period. But for me, I already subscribing unifi for more than 10 years. So probably will get if you are a longtime user of unifi.

If you calculate cost for 2 years, SWU 3.0 is actually cheaper.

RM119 for 300mbps, 6 months free, upgrade to 500mbps for free. RM126.15 X 18 months = RM2270.70 < Cost for 2 years incl 6% sst

RM90 for 500mbps . RM95.4 X 24 months = Rm2289.60 < Cost for 2 years incl 6% sst.

Just let them know you want the SWU 5.0 plan. In my case, I asked for the 500Mbps RM90 offer. At first, the staff wasn’t sure, but she checked with her colleagues and got back to me.

She also asked if I was planning to switch to another provider, just say yes, and mention that Astro is offering you 500Mbps for RM90.

Why are they so secretive with SWU? I once asked online Chat Agent and they answer me with a question from where I hear this from? I scared and just left the chat

No free 6 months for RM90 for 500mbps. Only free Disney+ Hotstar (Basic) for a year.

Just got my unifi mobile sim cancelled. So far no effect on my fibre plan.
Now must just wait for my prorated refund for the sim card, and wait for my new bill for fibre to confirm that everything is okay

Mine is free upgrade from 500mbps to 800mbps. It costs monthly RM 189.75.

I was using SWU 1.0 until few days ago , that time don't even have free 6 months.

There was only 1 time free upgrade for me since beginning of the contract, so mine went from 300mbps to 500mbps.

Must be some very old plan before SWU or special deal from 3rd party agent.

I requested termination for unifi mobile yesterday. They called today's noon, and they offered 6 months free mobile plan to keep using unifi mobile.Bill will charged on 7th month onwards.

I rejected them anyway, cause I don't want have any hassle afterwards.

Mine was RM136.75 monthly. 6 months waiver =
18 * RM136.75 = RM2461.50

Now RM95.40 monthly. No waiver =
24 * RM95.40 = RM2289.60

Save RM171.90 that's for sure. Unless, switching to Maxis maybe can get 8 months free plus some freebies.

I got 8 months free part of retention when I wanted to switch my own account from Maxis to UniFi. Then, they screwed up my billing and I got 10 months instead. 

I applied for termination yesterday in website and they call me today and give me the offer rm90 500mbp + 12 month Disney+ (currently rm119 500mbps+6 months waived from swu 3.0 with 2 month contract left). Oh my I'm so glad they did call me to counter offer or else I will cancel the termination instead haha. Save my time and headache
