500Mbps for RM90 + one year free Disney+

RM 90 for 500 mbps is for 24 months contract.
At the end of contract, do you get to retain the same price at 500 mbps without contract?

I went to TM Point to ask for SWU package with 2.5 months left in my current contract. I am using 100 mbps at RM89/month. She acted that she don't know and tried to re-engage the contract with the same price.

Only when I pushed SWU 5.0 for 100 mbps at RM79 with 6 months rebate and Disney Plus, she said can but need to subscribe for Unifi Postpaid at RM39 per month but can cancel after the first month. I tried to get it waived but she is very insistent that it is compulsory.

The 24-month contract can start immediately while the old contract can be terminated without penalty.

Hi, I wonder how did you sign up the postpaid?
Did you need to pay any upfront for deposit?
Did you receive the sim card on the spot?
*
Yes, I did sign up to the postpaid and paid RM 39.
I received the sim card on the spot.
Tmr, the contractor will install a new router.
Once the order is completed, I'll make a request to cancel the postpaid plan. I read at Unifi Mobile thread that it is possible to cancel and get refund.

This the reason I prefer termination method. No unnecessary bundles and hassle to cancel later.
*
every method has pros and cons.

- Termination method need to wait for the call which can take weeks.
- Need to be available to take the call, which can be tough if you're in a meeting or need to be in location where handphone is not allowed (example: chemical factory site).
- The time taken for the call to happen is also a financial loss if you are currently paying for a more expensive plan as changing plan at TM point is faster and you will opt into cheaper plan faster.

I chose the TM point as it is less hassle for me and I can take the actions to cancel the postpaid plan at my convenience, rather than waiting for someone else to call me.

I was curious because the tmpoint I visited required me to sign up for a postpaid plan and also provide a transfer ID.
Then the lady taught me to go to apply any other ISP and get the transfer ID.
She asked me to whatsapp her the transfer ID and she'll settle it for me.

After I applied Maxis fiber and sent her the transfer ID.
Then coincidentally I received a call from TM HQ offering me the SWU5.0 and I accepted.
Few days later the lady from tmpoint whatsapp me and said she noticed I already get the SWU5.0 and I haven't apply the postpaid plan.
But since I didn't pay the RM39 and receive any sim card, so I rejected.
I'm a bit scare if she registered the postpaid plan secretly without my knowledge or what.

I checked my unifi selftcare portal, there's nothing other than unifi fiber and disney+ hotstar.
How to view the postpaid plan detail? Will it appear in unifi selfcare portal?
*
She needs to get your thumprint to proceed with the subscription of the postpaid plan. You will also receive an email from unifi mobile with the bill.
If you want to be extra certain, can just check in live chat but i am fairly if you didn't get any email, she didn't sign up the plan for you.

She did get thumbprint coz I wanted to update contact details during that time.
But I can't see the screen so I didn't know what else she did.
Yeah, I don't receive any email regarding the postpaid.

So we can confirm the tmpoint method require to sign up the postpaid plan.
It's just inconsistent your case doesn't require transfer ID but mine required.

depends on tmpoint outlet and the package you chose.
Some people said the staff told him, no more stock for SWU.
For package RM 89 at 500 mbps, many said no need to postpaid sim but some ask for transfer ID.
Those who needs to get postpaid sim, the staff said need to use 3 months. My experience is 1 month, but in reality can cancel after the SWU package is processed.
