QUOTE(deanitro @ Apr 24 2025, 10:36 PM) That case, she was paying RM129 for 500mbps + ultimate pack + disney? Hahaha, it's already known practice that Unifi has 101 pricing for each plan, mainly to please their old customers. Seriously? So cheap! Mine is RM99 for 300mbps without any tv package. QUOTE(tng55 @ Apr 24 2025, 10:55 PM) Lol. Maybe become TM staff and get staff promo then. If 500mbps rm119 is already hard to get, what makes you think you can get 2gbps for Rm1xx, unless you got insider cable? |

QUOTE(Lahaha @ May 3 2025, 12:46 AM) How do you guys usually do to get Unifi to "counter offer" you with a better deal if you want to threaten to terminate and jump ship to other ISP? 1. visit Tmpoint and nego for SWU plan. I am happy with them so far, my contract has ended and I wanted to downgrade to the most basic package since it is for my parent's place and they don't use up the 500Mbps (RM139/month) and I have already moved out from their place. I get the part that RM89 for 100Mbps maybe for new customers (24months contract). I am fine with paying RM99 for 100Mbps but I don't get why I am hit with another 24months contract when I did not benefit from their "promo" of RM89/month. How do you guys talk to them to make them try to counter-offer? Talk to them on the phone? Livechat? Visit TMpoint? 2. try to get a transfer ID to port out to other provider, example Astro broadband. Usually Tm will try to counter offer, and you can nego the price. 3. Request for termination through online, and wait for them to call up for counter offer. Regardless which method you choose, once you accept any offer you'll be recontract for another 24 months. ionStorm liked this post

QUOTE(joehann @ May 6 2025, 02:42 PM) Tried this with 6 month contract remaining for my 500mbps account. But they dont offered me that 500mbps RM90 package and only offered all SWU5.0 package. I go for 100mbps - RM79, 12 month free disney and 6 month free bill. I can always upgrade speed later on after that 6 month free bill. As expected, there are 101 pricing. It all depend on luck whether you can get Rm90 for 500mbps. |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ May 7 2025, 05:46 PM) Hi, I applied for Unifi via online and received an email saying need to pay upfront fee of RM88 upon installation. I asked the live chat agent, apparently it is for port demand or booking fee. If you applied through agent, some of them have upfront fee that you must pay during installation. The fee is paid to TM, not to agent. What fee is this and is this applicable to everyone that apply for unifi installation? Also which is the correct app to use, Unifi UniVerse or MyUnifi? To ensure no upfront fee, please apply at Tmpoint. |

QUOTE(neekun @ May 10 2025, 12:25 PM) Technician came and configure his Telekom combo router and modem , at first few round still not able to get the full upload speed. Then he was asked to hard reset his combo device and reconfig, and test again also not getting full upload speed. Only a round 280mbps is the max can get. Then he called again to Telekom and they did a hard reset on Telekom end and eventually the upload speed is 420mbps which is ok. But when plug back into my Asus gt-ax11000 the upload speed was only 200mbps. I think what the technician trying to say is that TM can monitor and do any necessary adjustment on their ONU remotely. Try push them to escalate the case again, hopefully can be solve. Based on technician, if using Telekom supplied combo device, Telekom can "tag" the device at their end so ensure speed is ok. I don’t understand what this means. In directly, are we not supposed to use our own router in order to get the full upload speed? Btw, my down load speed is 940mbps and it is fine. QUOTE(kwss @ May 10 2025, 09:09 PM) syahpian neekun It has to be significant, otherwise TM can just close 1 eye and not do anything. The speed drop is fixed in v2.0.3 itself so it must be other problem already. Since your old ONU works, why not just use it? The extra 100Mbps download speed is really that significant for you? |

Maybe slightly out of topic.
Are we allowed to dismantle old TM copper cable that was used for previous streamyx and landline? Do we have to call TM to come and remove those cable? How about temporary removing the TM fibre cable due to house renovation, what is the proper process if any. |

QUOTE(kwss @ May 15 2025, 03:01 PM) I removed them twice. Once when renovating my front yard. Another time when doing some small renovation in my living room. You remove the whole thing from outside to your house? I'm talking about removing the whole TM cable, not just the part that connect to modem and fibre wall socket. Also the old copper cable used for landline. They are just quick disconnect cable. At least that's how mine is. I keep them in zip lock bag and seal them tight with rubber band while disconnected. Use alcohol swab to clean both side before reconnecting. I want to rewire the fibre after reno, to place my modem at certain place. |

QUOTE(richtrons @ May 16 2025, 05:07 PM) Unifi store KLCC can. Other than that need to go Tmpoint. QUOTE(Jas2davir @ May 16 2025, 06:12 PM) Anyone recently have Unifi 2gbps "free" upgrade then their line is fucked? Got iPad promo, sure recontract 24 months already. Your option is to call 100 and screw them, or report direct to MCMC.I had an email on sunday of upgrade then till today my line can barely reach 90mbps. Opened a ticket and they've been "escalating" here and there for past 6, days im on the verge of jumping ship to maxis if this shit keeps up. Just learnt today that there is an ipad promo for upgrading line, which i got screwed out of the option of taking up since they upgraded my line... |
