940Mbps is expected for Gigabit Ethernet, you won't get any higher

You need 2.5Gbe ONT and Router for beyond that

Problem is some technicians are really not qualified, at least that was for my case. I asked the technician to setup bridge to use back my existing Asus router, he said can no problem. He fiddled around with the settings for a while, ended up he said he can’t do it and asked me to just configure mesh.

I didn’t want to waste time, I just said ok, ownself login to the D-Link ONR and set it myself, done in 1 minute. laugh.gif

to me these guys are more like broadband installer (contractor) rather than a technician that were well trained and employed by TM

They are indeed broadband installer contractors. Well versed in initializing and installing TM routers and bridging but only with preset procedures.
Once they encounter problems outside of their set procedures, the only advantage they have vs us, is they can call TM tech directly for TM side quick reset, initialization, passwords, etc.

My installers are nice guys but they don't even know routers can save router configuration into a file for immediate config reload in case of any reset.

I have to teach them where to go for in DLink router (I myself first time using DLink) for config save.
I asked them to configure the ONR in router mode for successful connection, then save the working router config into my PC. Then we do bridging, save another config for bridging mode.

2 config files for both router and bridge mode, so that if my own router fail, I can always temporarily change the router from bridge back to router mode and restore the saved router config for direct ISP connection.

1gbps plan with Dlink Black ONR.
Last few day i notice, speed drop to 300/100 after 10am, and perform restart ONR wont restore the speed.
Only can restore when restart ONR at night.
Install smart plug today, when detect speed drop set a power off / on schedule and perform 2 restart at 10am & 11am, speed remain cap at 300/100. Will perform another restart at 2pm and try.
wonder anyone faced this issue. if continue i rather change back to old ONU, which can stable at 940 at least.

I'm surprised I got upgraded from 800 Mbps straight to 2 Gbps.
I got symmetrical speed on a 1G port, the installer order shows my package as 2 Gbps.

I'm still connected to the same OLT port (same MAC address) and BNG.

Paying 189 right now

I'm bridging to Asus AX-11000, gave up on DLink Black ONR cause constantly drop to 200-300 Mbps. Used back the old reliable Huawei ONU. Many ppl with DLink ONR has the same problem. No solution on the ONR yet for this bridging drop issue.

I am using the black onr, so far so good no speed drop issue. My router is ax-11000 too.
Speed drop usually happens day or night or just randomly?

If we bridge the ONR, does VoIP still work and do we need to set up the VLANs on the router?
