Hi, saw in harvey norman display set a80L 55 6.1k with 2 yr original + 3 yrs warranty from hn

Not bad oh.. nearly same as mine haha .. make sure u check properly with display unit especially oled.. some got burned in already .. and also check if Sony still have rebate. Last year, they had cashback to TNG all year long

I also never wipe before. I think if dun do properly, can damage the coating or cause scratches etc. Lagi worse.

I had used my a80j for 2 years, never wipe once before, it does have not visible dusts on it. But it does affect anything.

Not to mention, OLED once power on, the high contrast makes anything else not visible.

My 65X90K suddenly got one rainbow dotted line at the bottom of the screen near the bezel. Very annoying. The line will be less noticeable if darker scenes or view at top angle. Is it panel problem? 2.5 years old and no more warranty. FML

i also just bought a x90k recently for my parents. i hope it can last becos i never purchase extra warranty which i find it a bit too ex.

did u check with sony how much to repair it?

my past sony tvs that i bought were all very lasting. not sure if it is due to the newer products are not so lasting as before?

i am also having one A80J which used for almost 2 years, warranty expired in 14 june 2025. hope it can last also becos again no extra warranty purchase.

on top of that i still have one sony tv bought back in 2011, very thick bezel LCD tv. still working even now, although not using it becos picture quality cannot make it for today standard as it is only 1080p. tongue.gif

The problem is their customer service is shit. I emailed them requesting for home service 2 weeks ago. Took them two weeks to reply - asking me to try some troubleshooting steps and see if it helps.

I told them it doesn't help one week ago and I haven't hear from them since. Looks like Sony's customer service is as shit as their TV. I'm trying Samsung OLED next.

Mine 65X90J 2021 same issue on 2023 screen first at bottom after 2nd week at top screen called Sony appointment need 2 weeks.
Before they come getting worse black screen only sound luckily 3yrs wrt.

Sony tech visit no dismantle TV just turn ON check told LCD screen need replacement ask when can replace he said maybe a month.
Email Sony and cc Jpn Sony why took so long, then after few days they called new LCD panel ready.

My fellow friend around me always say Sony TV must pair with PS5 for ultimate experience, yea yea
1 year later, ada issue
2 years later, ada issue

I think i did mention last time here that most Sony TV after 2020 likely bad quality control

Hey, lets not jinx it! my X90h is still working fine...keeping fingers crossed!

In general, most of electronics nowadays, the quality is thrown out of windows.
