Hi sifu, My Sony TV 2019 setup,

Astro Ultra Box ----> HDMI 1
Sony E6100 Home theather ------ARC ----> HDMI 3
Nvidia Shield Pro -----> HDMI 2

The issue is when i watching Astro , switch to other input, the E6100 no sound on every input , TV speaker got sound, it seem Astro Ultra box still play after switch to other input, causing the audio input conflict, i need to restart the everything to make it normal.

Right now i have to turn Astro Box to standby mode before i switch to other input, then the audio no issue.

Any solution of this ?

Why don't you fix all input to your home theater and HT to TV, as it is ?

ceiling height is high, that's why the wall looks big.

i feel just okay with this 55inch when sitting about 8ft away, although could stretch to 65 inch, might get a bit of motion sickness, i get that easily, so i opted for 55 instead of 65.
65 look like a small pc monitor too, unless hang a 85 inch tv, but does it make sense with 8ft sitting/viewing distance? don't think so, at least for me, and especially for wallet.
*
Congrats on new TV, its individual preference, for a 8ft 55in is fine. I do know couple of my relatives has the same motion sickness issue when they come to my place, especially when they sit closer. I have 2 sitting arrangement, one is about 11ft and the other is at 20ft.

Enjoy your TV, its a good price break. Mine is an older model X90H

There are 2 issues.

1) People don't understand FOV. You need at least 30-degrees to get an enjoyable viewing experience. For cinema scope, you need 36-degrees (the THX recommendation). You (and many people) get motion sickness because you don't follow this often overlook rule.

2) Angular resolution is important. You spend all that money for 4k just not to be able to resolve it? Why did you 4k then? 8ft is simply too far for a 55" screen. The optimal distance in conjunction with viewing angle is actually 6ft for a 55" screen.
*
Hahaha true....but for many especially Msian, the price break is a big factor, hence many had to compromise going in between rather than optimal.

The other factor is also one's vision 20/20 or with glasses, that do play a factor on motion sickness.

I have almost perfect setting, but still visitors do complaint about it, hence I hv dual seat setup.

For those would like to check on hit, a good article and calculator here

No more support Sony TV already, basically can see their products having issue very fast  sweat.gif

My fellow friend around me always say Sony TV must pair with PS5 for ultimate experience, yea yea
1 year later, ada issue
2 years later, ada issue

I think i did mention last time here that most Sony TV after 2020 likely bad quality control

Hey, lets not jinx it! my X90h is still working fine...keeping fingers crossed!

In general, most of electronics nowadays, the quality is thrown out of windows.

Today went to my parent house the saw the 90k I bought for them. To be frank, really could not get used to it or should say accepting it.

Becos too get used to the A80J I have. Cannot accept the fact that the black on X90K is not true black. Although for bright scene it is perfectly ok.

Luckily my parents only watch free air channels most of the time and with a little bit of the YouTube. So in terms of their usage, X90K is really more than sufficient. Else, actually kind of regret not to get the OLED for them.

Really true that once used OLED cannot go back to LCD anymore.
*
OLED at one time was really expensive, 4 years ago when I bought mine, was really considering OLED, since Im moving from Pana Plasma V series...just that budget wise didnt make sense. took my 85x90h for 12K, else it would have been 65in OLED, felt too small for my need. I took it with 5yrs warranty.

My Plasma still works well, but 50in was too small, and my hall setting was different back then.

Wow rm12k dor a tv. I have yet to spend such amount in a tv yet. 🤪
x90h that time should be full array tv like x90k I supposed?

75-inch Bravia 5 (new one) is about rm9999 with free wh-1000xm6 (Sony brand new headphone) for free.

If given a choice I will still opt for OLED tv but smaller size as OLED really makes day and night difference and once one has used OLED tv before, can not go back.

I was lucky since x90"H" was going out and "J" was coming in, so they were throwing price!

yes full array!

Icic. Then not bad at least. Bigger screen size of 85-inch the experience is also superb.
*
Yeah, bigger, definitely gives better experience. I have stopped going to cinema since then
! Wish I could have gotten a 100in, just couldnt find one in the market! Projector was not practical for me since its open hall.

It aint easy to spend so much on a TV, but bite the bullet as for a longer term use and experience. I use it now atleast 12 hours a day in average, but most of the time from 9am till 1am or so, especially since WFH. Most of the time 12 hours on music video from youtube! hahaha. Movies/anime from 7pm till 1am.

Back then 85in was sold at 22-24K, fortunately got it half the price.
