So bravia 5 is 60hz while 7 is 120hz
Bravia 7 has Imax enhanced and DTS:X audio

That's big for gamer and movie-er biggrin.gif
*
bravia 5 is a X90L successor, so it does come with 120hz. so technically cannot be worse than X90L.
somemore from full array LED -> mini-LED, the improvement should be substantial.

the starting price reported to be lower than X90L also. but with the donald duck effect now... not sure if things will change... tongue.gif

both of them have imax enhanced and DTS support actually if chatGPT did not make mistake.

The audio mentioned is with external sound system i presumed

The built-in one probably won't support.

I got info from Co-pilot which mentioned the refresh rate of Bravia 5 is fixed at 60hz

Add-on:
Flatpanel probably more accurate

Pretty much confirmed it is 120hz, it is a replacement for X90L, so cannot be worse off than it.

Many articles also confirm that.

review shows that bravia 5 looks better than X90L. so it should really be a good successor. tongue.gif

hopefully price wise is also attractive.

No, it is under extended warranty now. The TV was bought in 2021 X90J, this is 4th years already.

ic mine is X90K, ur successor model.
yeah also think that it should have at least 5 years of lifespan.
when u claimed the warranty for the prob u faced, is there any indication in the receipt, how much the actual repair cost costed? even it is free under warranty?

already missed the chance to buy extended warranty. i think i will just live with it.. tongue.gif
the tv is bought at discounted price due to old model, so ok lo.. worst case scenario anything happened after 2 years warranty. just buy a new discount price model at that time. tongue.gif

even my current A80J, the warranty is going to expire in june 2025. also no extended warranty.
recently used it more often, and try to check if there is any prob that i can discover before the warranty ends... including the working of the usb ports, hdmi ports etc.... tongue.gif

I just shown the receipt that I bought which the receipt is showing the extended warranty information also, also together with the extended warranty certificate.

At 1st, thought that need to bring the TV to the shop. but then they sent technician over for replacement, save the hassle.

I see. I suspect it is a common problem that affects the same model maybe the batches also. Now Sony tvs are all made in bolehland, so I won’t be surprised that the same model sold in lion city also came from bolehland and under the same batches of production.

U attached receipt? Did not see it as well as from any previous posts.

what you said maybe right.

The receipt I meant I shown to the shop and they help to make report to the extended warranty company.
