QUOTE(westlife @ Apr 2 2025, 06:32 PM) Wow. How old is ur x90? If u bought in the year of launch which is 2021. It means close to 4 years now? I bought it around this time 2021, the shop delivered to me in May, but luckily got extended warranty, hope getting new TV...hahaaI noticed X90K is made in bolehland, is this the reason why Sony tv nowadays is not as lasting than before? I think every where also same, my samsung S22+ also screen problem in less than 3 yrs..... |

QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Apr 2 2025, 09:40 PM) Display problem within warranty period, they will replace brand new tv The extended warranty is not under Sony, is 3rd party.Just like my 58 inch samsung 4k tv, display problem, their technical team come over to my house to check, confirmed display problem, issued a report to the hq, then it took nearly a month for them to send brand new tv to my house, they replaced with 65 inch 4k au7000 brand new ππ₯ |

QUOTE(westlife @ Apr 11 2025, 07:25 PM) that's good.. not bad... at least have panel which is the main thing replaced. No, it is under extended warranty now. The TV was bought in 2021 X90J, this is 4th years already.now u are using sony usual 2 years warranty to claim rite? not under third party extended warranty becos still within 2 years? QUOTE(westlife @ Apr 11 2025, 07:27 PM) hopefully my x90k does not have such pro Hmm..... I found nowadays those TV/LCD Screen/Phone screen cant last longer like the past. Better to have some extended warranty, who know..... pray hard for u.....I always think that those thing should have at least 3-5 years life span.... haha |

QUOTE(westlife @ Apr 12 2025, 12:44 PM) ic mine is X90K, ur successor model. I just shown the receipt that I bought which the receipt is showing the extended warranty information also, also together with the extended warranty certificate.yeah also think that it should have at least 5 years of lifespan. when u claimed the warranty for the prob u faced, is there any indication in the receipt, how much the actual repair cost costed? even it is free under warranty? already missed the chance to buy extended warranty. i think i will just live with it..Β the tv is bought at discounted price due to old model, so ok lo.. worst case scenario anything happened after 2 years warranty. just buy a new discount price model at that time.Β even my current A80J, the warranty is going to expire in june 2025. also no extended warranty. recently used it more often, and try to check if there is any prob that i can discover before the warranty ends... including the working of the usb ports, hdmi ports etc.... At 1st, thought that need to bring the TV to the shop. but then they sent technician over for replacement, save the hassle. QUOTE(westlife @ Apr 12 2025, 02:40 PM) I think is similar issue, but mine one is not totally black, is the screen like washed out. Below picture is the display before replacement.![]() This post has been edited by cyclone2: Apr 12 2025, 03:45 PM |

QUOTE(westlife @ Apr 12 2025, 04:06 PM) I see. I suspect it is a common problem that affects the same model maybe the batches also. Now Sony tvs are all made in bolehland, so I wonβt be surprised that the same model sold in lion city also came from bolehland and under the same batches of production. what you said maybe right.U attached receipt? Did not see it as well as from any previous posts. The receipt I meant I shown to the shop and they help to make report to the extended warranty company. |
