Actually, not sure if there should even be a penalty as you are going from 30M to 30M. Hopefully the penalty won't appear in your next bill.
*
Good point. Will check.

QUOTE(mylinear @ Oct 27 2018, 11:03 AM)
Are you in high-rise and limited to 30M? Wondering if they tried to ask you to get the RM129 instead. Or offer to reduce your current package price like some other RM179 users got.
*
The staff didn't try to push 129. She was happy to accommodate my request.

QUOTE(mylinear @ Oct 27 2018, 11:03 AM)
Did you ask about the quota for next year? They still cannot tell how much the add-on quota will be, if there is one.
*
She warned me that there will be a cap starting next year. I didn't mind because I don't think we will hit the cap. If we do, I might either wait until contract expire to switch to Maxis or just upgrade to 129.

Who knows, Time might do landed by then.

Thanks bro.

Have you updated your Intel Wifi driver? And have you checked your settings like below?

https://www.intel.sg/content/www/xa/en/supp...networking.html

If all else fails, then our NUC probably has smaller antennas, and you need to use USB Wifi adapter.

Bcoz Intel 8265 on laptops should be able to get 400-500 mbps on your Asus. Even my former HP laptop using Intel 8265 can reach 220 mbps on TP-Link C1200.

QUOTE(tALEz @ Oct 29 2018, 10:40 AM)
Also on 500Mbps with RT-AC68U here.
And also using a NUC with AC 8265.

Can achieve 500Mbps on WiFi.
How far is your NUC to the router?
*
nuc just beside router haha
i have updated 8265 driver yesterday

Went to TMpoint to change to Ultimate pack to get the STB for my Unifi 100 Mbps BEST. To my surprise they cannot do that. They said the system unable to request change UnifiTV Lite (Jumbo Lite 2017) to Residential UnifiTV. I call it BS. I showed her the FAQ from Unifi website that users allow to add on STB by adding Ultimate pack and +RM30 to our bill. After half an hour arguing, she let me fill the complain form to TM HQ at KL. That form I add up some black mail to report to MCMC and CFM for misleading to customers.

End rant.

Is this BTU and router can be used for the turbo upgrade? Receive call from TM that they need to change "something" for our house to get the turbo.  hmm.gif

The BTU just change recently because the power button broken, the older version..

Oh god please dont stack your btu on top of your router it will cause overheating and reduce wifi distance and speed.

Nope. If you mean your PPPoE password, it will be set by them and it will be a mixture of both numbers and letters in uppercase and lowercase. You can't request to specify it yourself.

Yes, I'm referring PPPoE password.
Then getting trouble, shakehead.gif need to keep the default password in safe place to avoid forget pass.
Complicated the password mix all around capital and small with number mixing all around.

I plan wanna to change myself so that I can easily remember all the time.
Then what about the playtv password? Does it will sms to me the default password also? By the way, I don't have unif stb one.

It is generated randomly. Always safeguard your router by setting config password that is not half-baked. Thats how your pppoe pw is scrapped and exposed, your pppoe pw is extractable from router.

for my 1st account back in 2010, I was given a randomly generated password.

however when I signed up for my 2nd and 3rd account back in 2011 or so, I managed to choose my own password. IINM I wrote the password on a form when applying.. either that or I asked the TM staff for a non random password, not sure since it was so long ago sweat.gif

I believe you can with routers that support DD-WRT or Tomato firmware. Not sure about AsusWRT.
