I juz got an appointment to install the rm129 unifi 100Mbps.

Juz wanna ask, is there any payment that I need to make to the technician when they come to my house? I know that if the cable exceed certain length need to pay...other than that...is there any payment in cash?

Secondly the new rm129 package doesnt come with Set-Top-Box right?

So, do I pay directly to the technician in cash or will TM include it in the next bill?

Same case as mine. My advice is find a good TM agent. My TM agent search my address in their database and found my address. It is a bit different from my real address. He said that the TM website one is just for public viewing and usually not up to date. Usually when Unifi is entering your area, they will be TM agent come from house to house to promote like in my area or they will setup a booth somewhere. Sometime you need to play with your address detail. Like for example in my case, my agent search for 38C and didn't found it. He change it into 38-C, then suddenly my address got unifi coverage

After I saw they install that unifi white box on the pole, I quickly call my TM agent. He said my lorong is still not activated. A couple of week later he call again to set an installation date. From what he told me, TM bascially is going haywire right now because they kene tekan by Gobind. LOL. TM got too much in their hand right now. If not, my lorong will get unifi sooner. It is late by a month according to the original plan.

Yeah...years upon years of streamyx is torturing...2016 I saw they start tanam cable infront of my house for unifi...I was so happy back then...hoping that my place will have fibre in a few weeks. But nope. It turns out I have to wait more than 2 years.

My house they tarik for almost 50 meter. My brother more crazy...he is 1km away from coverage and TM are willing to tarik the cable if he willing to pay the cost with is couple of hundred ringgit if Im not mistaken. . Just go to TM point and ask them. If they say cannot, find an agent because agent usually more active because if they manage to get you pasang, they get moneyhhh.

I bet your router got fried because of the electrical power plug that power the router. Last year when I still using streamyx, I have to change my cordless home phone that they gave 2 times because of lightning. At the end, the technician suggest me to just get a regular home phone that doesnt require any power adaptor. No problem since the. Just buy a good surge protected extension plug.

Mine upgraded from streamyx to Unifi 100Mbps...doesn't have the STB in the plan name...just "unifi 100Mbps BEST".
