Good day,
I've subscribed with exisitng data plan for 50mb with price around RM170, and my contract has been expired and no bound at the moment, I'm thinking to choose the new Unifi 100mb package, and i've few doubts before proceed.

1. My existing using 50mb package, and it serve me well so far, our usage mostly on online movie and online meeting with skype conference, my question should i choose the RM79 package instead ?

2. If i would like to change plan, can i settle it in any TM point center or have to go Damansara Utama center? I heard from Sunway TMpoint mentioned my case only can setlle in Damansara utama (Uptown), is it true ?

3. Shall i consider Maxis plan ? i heard Maxis has better deal on data plan with same price ...but i also heard it is not stable - according from my friend who using it in Puchong area.

Thanks for guidance !

I did lodge a complaint with MCMC, and someone from TM did call me, but I almost heart attack in the conversion, really can vomit blood. It's just too bad I don't have other better options here, else I would have ditched Unifi long ago. They're playing fire with consumers now, one day when we have real competition I hope they nose-dive and close shop

QUOTE(hirota @ Oct 28 2018, 02:33 PM)
Same, paying 200++ for 50mb and waiting for the 500mb upgrade since months ago, but my others friends paying rm129+ for 100mb!! Better Payless and get 2x speed now.
*
Your case worst, paying so much but still not Turbo-ed yet. Right choice here, pay half but twice the speed. Honestly 100mbps is enough already, but I still don't mind if we can get 300mbps for RM 139 just like Time customers, but guess we can dream first for now

Linux OS would be the easiest to test IINM. Test it with Ubuntu.

Agree. TM is really pushing their luck. It's quite incredible how there is no uniform packages and charges. Real laughing stock of a situation.

TM call it BTU because it is the boundary of their network and remains their problem if it breaks. The router is in your wiring and if it dies out of warranty is yours to replace

I was trying to see how much is the total cost inclusive of shipping for a Asus RT-AC86U directly from taobao, but to my surprise I was not able to do so.

I spoke to the taobao online store CS, they told me Malaysia are restricted to buy directly from taobao...

Then I try to put in my previous TB agent address, indeed the listing immediately available for purchase liao~

Right click on the password field. Then select inspect element. In right panel. Look for keyword type="password" highlight password and change to text. type="text"

Now you should be able to see your password. smile.gif

Some sellers don't allow while some allow. I have seen before direct postage from China to my KL address for AC5300.

Oh, so this is the situation. Cause I check few sellers also show out of stock. I thought this model also selling like hot cake in China...

My last purchase from TB, I shipped all my purchase to one of the forwarder warehouse in China, then they will pack all my items and ship it back to MY for me.

I'm not sure whether now taobao offer such service, whereby they will consolidate my items from different sellers, and pack it in one and ship it back to me. If yes, which one is more cost effective (cheaper), taobao or 3rd party forwarder?

Such service is still available and provided by Taobao. Well, if it's just one item, I will straight post to Malaysia unless I have no direct postage option.

I just watch the video from TB, it seems like direct shipping from TB also can use for purchases from different sellers. So if I opt for the direct shipping for such purchase, the process is just like consolidating all my items in TB warehouse 1st, then only ship to MY? Or each seller will directly ship their own item to MY separately and end up I will receive multiple package for each item?

Will also drop by LYP to see whether still have twin pack of RT-AC86U for less than RM2k. If have luck, it seems like doesn't worth to save just merely RM300 for China set, consider the warranty part... Just need to find someone who is willing to take up the 2nd unit and divide the cost equally~

You can consolidate or each seller direct posts to you which costs more. Yes, if each seller directly ships to you, you will receive in multiple package.

CentOS Linux distro for testing

Guaranteed to fully saturate your line and 100% legit. If you don't get full speed on this torrent something is wrong on your end.

Be sure to disable any form of uTP or rate limiting on your torrent client, especially if you're turboed to ensure full speed.

Test with spare HDMI cable to confirm your current HDMI cable is not faulty.
If not faulty, call Unifi support. Maybe BTU faulty. I had personal experience with faulty BTU causing video pixelated for all channels.

UniFi 500Mbps with Asus RT-AC68U
might need upgrade new router for 800Mbps future  sweat.gif

the best i can get for wireless 5Ghz
my intel NUC using AC-8625 wireless card

Gigabit LAN can achieve 500Mbps

Have you updated your Intel Wifi driver? And have you checked your settings like below?

https://www.intel.sg/content/www/xa/en/supp...networking.html

If all else fails, then our NUC probably has smaller antennas, and you need to use USB Wifi adapter.

Bcoz Intel 8265 on laptops should be able to get 400-500 mbps on your Asus. Even my former HP laptop using Intel 8265 can reach 220 mbps on TP-Link C1200.

Received sms telling me that i got the unifiTV free...and ask me to let them know if i didn't subscribed to it. So i've sent them e-mail telling them why they i didn't and not intended to. After that receive another sms telling me that my unifi had been turbo'ed. Reset my router and yes i get turbo'ed.
Now is suspecting that they want me to maintaining paying 149 for the 100mb with the additional 20 is for the unifiTV.
Anyone having the same thing like me.
Should i go to downgrade to 129 for 100mb or port to Maxis....
And one more issue that unifi told me that they're not goin to upgrade my stone age D link L7 router....
