i wan to ask the TUNE visa card user,how u all reload your money to your TUNE account? by POS , CIMB or online?
if by POS and bank....the charges is rm2 per transaction
by online is rm0.50...is a huge amount if i jus reload few hundred each time.

11. Can I use my Maybankard Visa Debit outside Malaysia?
You can use your Maybankard Visa Debit abroad provided you activate the overseas flag prior to your departure. The activation process can be done through our Maybank ATMs or through our 24 hours customer service centre at 1-300-88-6688. Your Maybankard Visa Debit can then be used for retail purchases at any VISA merchants and cash withdrawal at any ATMs with a VISA PLUS logo.

btw called public bank just now, seems that I have to wait one whole month after my debit card issued to receive my pin number, through mail.

It should be RM5000

just went to a public bank branch and applied for the Visa Electron debit card yesterday.. the officer there said have to wait for 2 weeks then they will mail a letter to your house to inform you where to pick up your card then the 3rd week only can go and collect.. wah need so long meh? I needed the card to book air ticket and hotel online.. is this card able to do so ?

i waited one whole month for the card to arrive and have to wait another whole month for the PIN number to arrive... taking very long time, but with all the positive feedback, i hope the wait is worth it.

btw, i have activated the overseas flag for my maybank debit card at ATM machine just now, still got rejected by paypal.

Tried that. I activate from ATM to PERMANENT already, still cannot verify paypal and google checkout but can be used to pay my hosting bills at namecheap.com

same with you. can't verify with paypal, got rejected. any solutions? anyone tried Amazon(or any other international online shopping site) with Maybank debit card as well?

tried using Amazon with Maybank Visa Debit Card, don't see any problems yet, just placed my order waiting to be shipped. Unless they only charge my MVDC after shipping that i don't know. haha. Anyone mind sharing his/her experience with Amazon?

they will only charge you once your items are ready to be shipped, tried with a credit card before. if something goes wrong with your card, they only contact you when they are ready to ship your item. happened to me when I was using AmBank's debit card. forced me to use credit card.

dang, well no harm trying with my Maybank Visa Debit Card anyway since i planned to buy the item from Amazon as a gift. haha, hope it can go through and arrive Malaysia before May

No wonder i checked Maybank2U internet transaction history there are no charges yet . . . oh well, will check my orders again tomorrow or the day after, since it will at most take 1 working day to ship anyway (I hope) first time using Amazon to buy stuff

googled for Maybank Visa debit card just now, sad to find out that most people had failures trying to do online transaction.

Guess one of the reason for most people failing to do online transaction is due to the implementation of the card. It just came out, it is still new, not all the online business knows about the card.

Guess have to give them (Maybank) sometime to change the Maybank Visa Debit Card into a useful Card that can be used for online transaction and other usage. instead of all advertisement and useless usage. Since Maybank advertise the card how well it is, how good the card is etc.

But time is limited for them as other banks are introducing better Debit Card. So pray and hope Maybank improves its' services and the usage of the Maybank Visa Debit Card else paying RM12 just to change from ATM card to the card is pointless if the usage are limited.

Just my 2 internet sen by the way hope no one in the banking fields who are working for Maybank are offended.

didn't see any problem like this for Public Bank's Visa Electron card... maybe that's why it may take a long time to get the card.

latest news for standard chartered card holder.... u can get 8% cash rebate for retail transaction at Tesco !

That only applies for credit card holder?
