Recently booking genting hotel and buy the concert ticket also not accepted, I called to PB service there the staff told me GENTING DOESN'T ACCEPT DEBIT CARD, Damn !

because for public bank visa electron paypal verification, you need to wait until end of month after they send you the statement only can get the code. so you need to choose a good date which is close to but not pass the date they issue statement.

I wanna try the Tune Visa Card, but just one thing, can it be used for online stuffs? I wanna book Malaysia Airlines tickets, but unlike AirAsia, they only accept Visa and Mastercard. So guys, can I use it there you think?

I just received my Public Bank debit card and I had to run off before I could ask some questions to the people at the bank, so I'm asking it here. This is my first card and I'm pretty much a noob, but I'll be thankful if anyone can answer my questions.

1. I noticed that my envelope mentions something about a PIN number being mailed to me later. So does that mean I can't use the card for any transactions yet?

2. How does the process for buying stuff with a debit card usually go? PIN and signature required just like a credit card?

has anyone successfully verified his/her paypal account using PB Visa Electron before? i have recently got mine, but when i tried to 'Complete Expanded Use enrollment', it gives the error message

'We were unable to verify this credit card. Please check if the information you entered is correct. If the problem persists, please try to enter a different credit card.'

anyways, i remember someone asking whether if you are an existing stanchart account holder if you can apply for the debit card.
the answer is no.

Maybank debit visa card can't even used for online transactions at all. Both paypal and google checkout decline the card.

yeah, tried to verify my paypal account with Maybank debit card, but was declined. got PBVE but they haven't sent my pin number... gahh... need to call them already.

You're looking atleast June 2008 before the feature is being enable. I wonder why Maybank didn't put up in their website that it still not compatible with online transaction.

If we can already use it in a shop which has visa logo, doesnt this mean we can shop online with a site which accept visa? I am confused here. Or do we only able to shop with visa logo within malaysia only? Never heard of such thing.

For the PB visa electron,

will they charge extra charges on online transaction for foreign payment?
or just follow the rates with no charge, commission at all?

it's becoz only visa electron card doesnt have admisnistration charge in their booking system... all other cards, visa(credit/debit),mastercard(debit/credit),maestro,AMEX & bla bla all got card administration charges of £4...

I used SCB debit before to withdraw from overseas ATM. On my slip it says that RM2 has been charged by the overseas bank but in my statement, a total of RM12 was charged.

So i tried to change my paypal's default CC (my dad's) into my newer card but whenever I did, it was rejected.

Any ideas?
