I wonder how long will it take for the personalized card to arrive?
Here's the thing, I opened the e$aver's account on the spot and I instantly got a non-personalized card (doesn't have my name on it, only card number).

The financial consultant told me that if I want to get my name personalized on it, the bank will incur a RM8 card charge for the change. And that will take at least 2 weeks then it'll be sent to your home address.

Means they will emboss ur name on the card and also your account number. It's easier for me to remember my account number when I need to do some transactions off the phone or customer service. It's ok le for them to charge rm 8, as it will be delivered direct to your house ma tongue.gif

Maybank debit visa card can't even used for online transactions at all. Both paypal and google checkout decline the card.

maybank new visa debit card nice but be aware of some tiny charges

The fifth cash withdrawal and thereafter in a month at any Maybank ATM**
RM0.50 per withdrawal***

** The fee will be debited directly from the customer's accounts at the end of each transaction.
*** Fee waived if the respective account has a balance of above RM5,000 at time of withdrawal.

Can embossed it outside at some of those embossing/stationery outlets ? As long as you don't touch or not close to the magnetic stripe and chip.

Man its still the same...

cash withdrawal goes to your ATM function, not visa debit function.
Currently its the same practice, unless your account has above RM2000 balance.
Why its practiced is becoz Maybank didnt impose annual fee for savings account like other banks that charge RM12.
U can withdraw free for 48tims (4times/month) and then u can also withdraw for free 24 times (that is equivalent of RM12 annual fees).

That means u can withdraw up to about 6times/month for free and if that is not enough for u, i suggest u do your financial planning properly.

tune visa prepaid visa card FAQ

what the differences between Debit card and Prepaid Credit card?
The difference between a prepaid credit card and a debit card is that the ending tra actio are deducted from the amount of money you loaded to your account unlike a debit card where the money ent is subtracted from your checking account and could cause Non-Sufficient Funds ( F) charges. The F charges are due to a customer drawing funds from an ATM or making purchases that exceeds the balance in their checking account. With a prepaid card this will never ha en since the prepaid card holder is not borrowing any money and can only end the amount of money loaded to their prepaid account.

With prepaid credit card there are no interest charges because you are using your own money. To obtain a prepaid credit card requires paying a setup or a lication fee and may charge a fee each time you load more money to your account. Some of the ways prepaid credit card can be funded is with a wire transfer and a cash deposit at certain location approved by the issuer.

beware if hidden charge:!!! TUNE card is not debit card so it is not linking with the your Saving account, thus if you use this card to withraw money from ATM, u will found a large amount of extra charges.
