Hi, hopefully someone can answer some of my questions here. I have been using the Rm149 package for about 5 years now and i’ve just noticed that there is a Rm159 package at a faster speed.

As an existing customer, can i upgrade my package to this or is it for new customers only? Will I be under a 2 years contract?

Router and modem will be changed to the new one too?

At this very late stage.. Best you can do is call TM up and try to negotiate a better package. Best so far is RM179 for 100Mbps... Which I can only think of one user who reported such.. Else, it's mostly RM189 for 100Mbps and RM139 for 30Mbps...Discount ranges from only for the next 2 years contract or perpetual as long as account remains with TM.. Some people got hardware changes.. Depends on what package you are upgrading to and if current hardware isn't supported and or needs replacement..

I manage to change my router, dect and stb for free last year June for free as I was same boat with you guys. Complain to Tm, live chat Tm point etc etc and it went to deaf years and finally I used Mcmc channel stating that my equipments are 1st gen equipments and Tm has renewed my contracts several times but they refuse to upgrade my equipments and the technician was dispatch to my residence to change all 3 items for free. I collected the router, dect phone and stb. To be honest, only stb is being used and the other items are lying down in my store room still sealed and unused 😀

I'm using Unifi package 30Mbps, however I found my area upstairs have limited signal and problem.

Anyone can suggest the best router or booster/extender to cover until upstairs or area can breakthrough wall or cover area more than 3000sqft.

Already called 100.

Unifi staff have been here for 2 afternoons, testing, replacing etc and still no success.Getting only 0.5 Mbps instead of 100 Mbps. They even increased my speed to 100 Mbps and got only 1 Mbps at my end.

This slowdown is really annoying for my daily use. Only good thing is my daughter used only 10% of wifi compared to what she used to do. Ha.

Really hope they can find the root cause and fix the problem today!

going thru a wall (even 2 walls) is not as big a deal as some people say.
wide coverage is the tricky part.
may need a repeater/extender.
my fren using rtn14uhp + rtn12hp to cover his 3 storey bungalow, says ok.
i use rt ac1300 to cover a slightly smaller area, 2 walls max, good enough.

I see, so it's not for all. I was also looking at Maxis since it's cheaper but some reviews said Maxis is worst than Unifi.

maxis has never been able to match unifi in terms of both price and performance.

i get a call from them every year, an invitation to test their offer.

always end up their price offer is far inferior, no deal.
