QUOTE(bryon @ Sep 8 2016, 05:23 PM) It is the same with all banks. Please read the T&C and stated that the bank only has to provide 21 days of notice for any changes in the card terms and benefits. That is why since the rumour started a few months back we have been telling people to keep watch for any announcements before the 10th of each month. If no announcement means no change but it the changes finally arrive but not the same as rumoured. |

It seems that after 1 October 2016, we need to try whether the 5% effective cash back given is still based on round-up to the nearest RM or not.
So, it is still uncertain whether we should ensure that the total transaction for each category should end with RM 5. This post has been edited by kart: Sep 9 2016, 10:30 AM |

QUOTE(kart @ Sep 9 2016, 10:30 AM) It seems that after 1 October 2016, we need to try whether the 5% effective cash back given is still based on round-up to the nearest RM or not. If need to spend minimum RM2,000, I guess no point to purposely make the eligible category to end with RM5. Because if you spend only RM985 on your 3 eligible categories, then you need to spend RM1,015 on non eligible category to make up the minimum monthly spending of RM2,000. If you spend RM1,000 on 3 eligible categories, then you need to spend RM1,000 on the non eligible category. It's more about hitting the RM2,000. Since HL did not REVISE the part that cash back is based on round up, I would assume they still do the round up for cash back. So, it is still uncertain whether we should ensure that the total transaction for each category should end with RM 5. |

Talked to a CS just now concerning card cancellation. She double confirmed that the PAID AF can be refunded based on pro rate basis for my case. My AF was charged in July and If I cancell in Sept. I will be charged 2 months AF only. The bank will refund the balance 10months AF to me. She advised to wait for the CB credited (AUG) and submit cancellation thereafter.
I am planning to max out Sept spending and cut the card by end Oct. So, anyone who want to cut the card and get back the AF can call to CS to verify again. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Sep 7 2016, 06:12 PM) Revision on Hong Leong WISE Platinum and Gold Credit Card Terms and Conditions ![]() Questions and Answers Q: What is the change made to the WISE Credit Card spend condition? A: The minimum 10x swipes with RM50 spend condition will be replaced by minimum RM2,000 posted retail spend in a calendar month effective 1 Oct 2016. All other existing features and conditions remain unchanged. Q: Why did Hong Leong Bank make the spend condition change? A: HLB made the spend condition change to improve simplicity and convenience. The WISE Credit Card is one of the most competitive programmes locally and this change is vital to allow us to continue to offer this programme. Q: Does it mean that, regardless the number of swipes/transactions I perform, as long as I meet minimum posted spend of RM2,000, I will enjoy 10% cash back on chosen categories? A: Yes, you are right. Please see illustrations below for better a understanding:- ![]() Q: RM100 cash back over Total Spend of RM2,000 is up to 5% cash back, not 10%? A: 10% cash back is calculated based on amount spent on your WISE chosen categories, not on Total Spend, for the month. It has always been WISE Credit Card product feature since it was launched. This feature remains unchanged effective 1 Oct 2016. Q: With the 10% cash back, will I still enjoy up to RM100/month? A: You will still enjoy up to RM100 cash back on your chosen categories. This feature remains unchanged effective 1 Oct 2016. Q: What will happen to the categories I have chosen? A: Your chosen categories remain unchanged effective 1 Oct 2016. You will continue to enjoy 10% cash back, up to RM100 if you meet the RM2,000 qualifying spend condition. Q: My average spend per month on WISE Credit Card is RM1,000. How could I meet the minimum RM2,000 requirement? A: WISE Credit Card gives out one of the highest cash backs. One way to meet the minimum RM2000 requirement is to consolidate all your purchases on your WISE credit card, for instance, pay for daily shopping, dining, groceries, insurance premiums, utility bills as well as enrol for auto-billing service. Q: If I decided not to keep my WISE Credit Card, what option do I have? A: If you find that the changed WISE Credit Card does not suit your needs, you are welcome to switch your WISE Credit Card to another credit card. No switching cost involved. Just give us a call at +603 7626 8899. We will be happy to assist you. For a copy of WISE Credit Card new T&C, please click here. If you wish to contact our Customer Relationship Officers, kindly drop us an e-mail at hlonline@hlbb.hongleong.com.my (no P&C information please) or you can call us at +603 7626 8899. If i were to cancel the card before my AF charged, but on the GSC gold combo card i still have installment yet to be settled.
Is there an option to transfer these outstanding to my Mach card? Or i need to settled everything in order to cut my Wise card since it's a combo card. |
