Thanks for your sharing. I have 1 question, how can we use the cash back if we have cancelled the card (card blocked)? Can they transfer to other bank account or send cheque to us?

Can we get back the paid AF prorated basis from HLB if we cancel the card due to the new 2k spending?
My af charged on 31/7 and i just paid 3 days ago. I plan to wait for the Aug CB to be credited and spend it before cancellation.

Talked to a CS just now concerning card cancellation. She double confirmed that the PAID AF can be refunded based on pro rate basis for my case. My AF was charged in July and If I cancell in Sept. I will be charged 2 months AF only. The bank will refund the balance 10months AF to me. She advised to wait for the CB credited (AUG) and submit cancellation thereafter.
I am planning to max out Sept spending and cut the card by end Oct.
So, anyone who want to cut the card and get back the AF can call to CS to verify again.
