Any method that I can get the rebate when pumping petrol inside the counter instead of the machine outside?

previously myTNB Mobile App already not eligible.

since the new myTNB Web Portal seems to be using same payment gateway, so you're the first (i think) confirming this payment channel not tagged as UTILITIES category.

btw, you chose UTILITIES category for your Wise card, right?
unlikely, because Wise card depends on the exact MCC registered to the cc terminal.

petrol kiosk has different MCC than service station/counter; and Wise only detects petrol kiosk MCC. read the T&Cs.

Yea...guess so. One more question, does Wise rebates for Unifi and streamyx bill?

TM bills (streamyx/unifi) are not in any of the Wise categories. and no, not UTILITIES also.

there's a workaround IF...

1) you're nearby/accessible to Sam's Groceria outlets.
2) one of your categories is GROCERY

if both conditions are YES, then pay your tm bills there. the payments will be categorized as GROCERY (due to Sam's Groceria registered MCC).

Have to go to the shop and manually pay there? There's 1 in Gurney area Penang but it's quite far from my home sweat.gif

Every month earn less than RM 50 cash back, not justified at all. laugh.gif

Eh I thought you earning max 100 bucks rebate every month? I also earn less than 50 buck cash rebate every month so I cancelled it...but now when I think back...using Wise will save a lot of hassle and time cause need few more cards to replace Wise sweat.gif

EDIT: If only there's away to pay for Unifi and Telekom bills online and get rebate from Wise...then worth to re-apply back hmm.gif

Yes, I earn RM 100 every month but after Sam's removal of CC facility for ePay and TnG, I will have difficulty of hitting even RM 50 cash back next month onward.

Haiz headache headache. Let's hope YOLO card will be a good card. Out of topic though.

Just now CS from HL called me and asked what's the main reason for cancelling Wise. Then I said annual fee from primary and supplementary combined is a lot plus I don't utilize much rebate every month...so I ask if it's possible to waive annual fee for 1 more year.

She said "It's impossible. Annual fee for Wise is a must for second year onwards."

Lol. So I tell her to proceed to cancel all.

Oh the cool down period is 6 months. So I guess I will go and re-apply 6 months later.

2 month of rebate already enough to cover 1 year annuel fee . . . not sure why someone would cancel and get 6 month cooling period to save rm160 vs rm600 . . . .
*
Bro..you think every one can utilize max rebate 100 bucks per month meh. Not all can spend that much leh sweat.gif Some of us can only get rebate like 30-50 a month. The annual fee for principal and supplementary combined could be a lot.

Plus Unifi and Telekom bills are not eligible unless u paid it at Sam's groceries which not all places got. Some more now cannot adi since they removed e-pay from Sam's groceries.

Sadly the petrol rebate must be the machine outside...if the petrol rebate for the counter inside could work then I can hit the 2k tier with 100 bucks CB.

Just curious. Swipe at counters to TopUp petrol card or touchngo? Then swipe Rm1000 at counter and Rm1000 at pumps, mobile bills, electricity, or groceries. Still get Rm100 CB.
*
As far as I know previously any transaction made at counters are not eligible for any cash rebate at all. Only at the machine outside sweat.gif

You are right, previously and now also not eligible for rebate. But now it doesn't matter anymore as it will be under retail tranx.
*
Eh but if I choose as petrol category and I swap at counter...it doesn't count for rebate right? It only counts for the 1k non-rebate transaction.

It's been a while since I cancelled HL Wise. Is it the same that pump petrol must use the machine outside and cannot pay in the counter inside?

If outside unavailable / system down, I will drive away to next petrol station...  biggrin.gif

Well my dad refuses to learn on how to play at the outside machine so he always pay at counter... sweat.gif

Eh the new T&C for HL Wise...it requires 2k retail spending. But does any spending falls into retail? Like if I go buy furniture at some furniture shop, go eat food at some restaurant and etc - does it fall under retail?

Is the cashback given on statement date like 22nd July or early of the month 1st Aug instead?
