think it the other way.

with this new requirement, effective CB goes to 5%. so where does the 'missing' 5% goes?

1st 1K pay those "dan lain-lain" spending, e.g. car service, insurance, etc etc
2nd 1K goes to category spending.

so, you got 10% for 2nd 1K (within categories), but 5% is actually indirectly paid for those 1st 1K (dan lain-lain) spending. that means your car service or insurance gotten 5% cashback, indirectly.

disadvantage is you need to manage 2 pools of RM1k spending in order to maximize it the cb.

well, that's just my view. sweat.gif

Yes, it seems this is a good card for general expenses. laugh.gif None of the cards in market gives 5% for those yet. tongue.gif

if u only spend $500 on selected category, and $1500 on lain lain.

Your rebate is only $50. Only 2.5% cash back.

Or, u miscalculated that u only spent $1999.00 or some merchant post the payment late, there goes your cb. zero % ;P

That is only true if WISE is your only CB card. Currently I have PB VS and that gives me 6% back on internet payment which I'm using to get CB on TNB and Unifi (and eventually move mobile over here too). It will also be more worth it to move groceries over here from my WISE. This card can cover dining weekdays and Amex takes care of weekends. So there is not much left to make up for the extra 1K to qualify for the 'dan lain lain' spending.

yes, not worth it if you have other cards to cover. very hard to hit 1k for 'dan lain-lain' spending.

that scenario only for niche users with very limited cards on hand to play around. biggrin.gif

this card is useful for those who have lots of bills to pay where one card is not enough. 2k is achievable.

but for normal user i don't recommend keeping it if HLB want to continue with the AF.

This is true. All of a sudden, those who opt to continue will 'spam' all their insurance bills, cukai pintu, lesen perniagaan, car service to this card ! And don't forget to pay your AEON Big Visa Card from this card, using Posonline.

i always spend 1k on this card currently to get RM100 monthly so just have to think that spending 2k will give effective 5% cb which is not bad although technically it's only 10% to the ones under the categories.

Why don't you cancel Wise only?
Yeah, me too. Finally received the SMS.

Because when i applied for Wise it's a combo campaign where i get dual card.
Similar to M2C.
Therefore i assumed if i want to cancel Wise, the GSC card have to be cancelled as well.

Need to spend RM24,000 per year to get RM1,200 rebate and not forgetting need to pay AF with 6% GST.

Youre same side with me...plan looking for ikhwan cc for petrol n groceries...any idea for cc usage on sunday till thursday??? dry.gif

Actually, Maybank Visa Signature is a good card for petrol and groceries. To me, the set back is the annual fee and the spending of RM50,000 annually to get AF waiver.

To continue to use Wise, the set back is looking for another RM1k monthly spending, be it within the 3 selected categories or not. Incorporating the annual fee, the CB is 4.29%, which is still actually good for about RM1k monthly insurance. To me, 4.29% is a good CB for insurance and not bad for petrol since I do not need to worry bout weekday or weekend and can pump any brand of petrol that I wish. Just my 2 cents. smile.gif

like i said, achievable if you have lots of bills to pay. if you can't get RM100 cb monthly, no point keeping this card with the AF.

I have two question here:
1) The cash back will calculated based to our 2 selected categories plus mobile category?
2) Anything that is excluded from the RM2000 spend?
