Given the tens of thousands of people who cross the border everyday for work, wouldnt it make sense to build an aircond bridge for humans to walk?
It will be like walking an airport terminal. Have some travelators in placed for convenience.

QUOTE(knwong @ Dec 8 2016, 07:51 PM) Monitor and buy up to 1 year earlier. So 2018 CNY can start looking in Feb 2017 dy You so sure you are still working in Sgp in 2018? I scared no more ticket for CNY 2017 if buy later even though I haven't yet started. Even though it's already expensive, it will increase higher later, or worse, no more ticket. QUOTE(alexis2power @ Dec 8 2016, 08:53 AM) Probably in your dream. 4k-5k max unless you are the project manager then possible. 4-5k SGD is because i am a Malaysian or it is standard Singapore rate? Like this better work in Malaysia - if lucky get into oil and gas can earn the same conversion rate value in Malaysia. 4-5k SGD after tax, feels like quite tight if plan to rent a 2-bedroom flat and bring family there...

Indirect impact would be more tourist willing to go to msia. And sg benefit from having kuli msian labour. Besides, not that hard to implement a ticket system to cross the bridge. It certainly beats waiting for a bus or driving over the causeway due to traffic.

Oil and gas are not doing any better now. Firms are retrenching and restructuring.. Before bringing your wife and kids over, your earnings should be above 5K to be able to get dependent passes for them?

Quite standard rate for common engineering. O&G different story. Non-competent engineer like myself can't make it in Singapore and went back to Malaysia already.

If you are able to earn RM12-15k with just 5 years of exp (meaning you are young) then why look into SG? With a family you can have a much better life with RM12k in MY compared to SGD6k in SG

That's the market rate. Don't put down yourself because you are from inferior country Based on the sharing from my network of friends, chances for you to strike off a stellar career is higher in Singapore than hoping to striking it rich into Malaysia oil n gas Can start low here and slowly rise up. That's a fair risk to take
