QUOTE(xyrotix @ Jul 3 2016, 07:07 AM) "If your work visa is valid for 12 months or more you will be charged at resident rates. However, should you leave before 6 months (specifically 183 days) then you will be charged on your IR-21 filing based on the non-resident rate." Isnt that employment pass usually 2 years ? If your passport has more that 2 years validate . QUOTE(Ultimaweapon @ Jul 3 2016, 08:02 AM) Yes, it's usually more than 2 years but the period granted is to the discretion of the MOM. When i renewed my ep last dec2015 it was extended till 2019.So it could possibly to be less in my opinion, depending on the applicant's condition and submitted. |

QUOTE(madmoz @ Jul 4 2016, 03:32 PM) Which are the recommended ones in your opinion? Have been a loyal MBB in MY since donkey years ago when i started working so haven't paid much attention to card offerings lol. If ur the type that hoards cash inbank accounts.. Take those that tie ur credit card to the interest u earn... Like ocbc360. Nowadays all local bank have something similar to the ocbc 3% interest kind of plan.Amex for food and a cash rebate one for shopping? |

QUOTE(madmoz @ Jul 8 2016, 09:54 AM) Btw, Tendon Ginza Itsuki @ Tanjung Pagar. The first time.i had it was amazing. Like really amazing.Below 20 bucks, really nice (although I'm no foodie) lol. Just don't go during lunch in your office attire and if possible... bring another t-shirt. Lest you stink like food in the MRT. Then.i ate something similar in taiwan. Then i came.back and try this again. Then somehow not so good liao..chicken a little dry. Prawn a little soggy. Maybe i just got a bad batch |

QUOTE(Ultimaweapon @ Jul 22 2016, 06:25 AM) Only PR's and Citizen need to contribute to CPF or after working for 2 years. Where u hear that ya? Its immediate, but on a lower tier/%.But if your employer is willing to pay CPF for you, take the chance. You might have less to use monthly but you get quite a lot of savings tax-free. 5% first year 15% 2nd and 20% 3rd year onwards |
