I found an article if can't be validated its a fake unit. Authentic Apple.

Call Apple customer service, and they can assist you in activating it online.
I also had the same issue when I purchased my AirPods Pro from one of the authorized resellers.

But in my statement i only got 3.5 cashback….

yup, live chat with agent in the app. had to swipe 3x no min amount to receive the sst cashback within 8-12 weeks
