Calling HSBC now, already 10 minutes still no CS entertains my call! mad.gif

Gave up after 15 minutes. mad.gif

Does anybody know what is the email address to check for credit card application status? Until today nobody calls me for verification. doh.gif

It's normal for HSBC. Can't imagine if you really lost your cr card and it takes ages to get hold of a CS. sweat.gif

After ding dong for so long and finally a CS picked up my call today, I checked my application and it was declined for the reason of incomplete documents! I said I sent in probably 8 times for this. Then the CS apologised and passed me to credit card department.

Luckily the guy attended to me was helpful and honest to me. Long story short, the spend RM 1.5k and get RM 250 cash back is based on first come first serve basis. I challenged because this is not mentioned in the TnC. Anyway, knowing how bad HSBC is, I thanked the guy for being honest to me. I didn't pursue further.

So after all the ding dong ding don, you're not going for the cc? tongue.gif

Anyone here just recently got their new HSBC cards?
My friend got his a couple of months ago and it seems his account received a credit of Rm350. He doesn't know what's that about lol and think it's free money

He showed me his first statement. Doesn't look anything like a credit card statement.
*
Nice deal. Anyway, its free money tongue.gif

9 to 10%??? Omg.. whats is effective rates means? And can u help me calculate if let say i need 6k.

This is my calc. Or i calc wrong.

6000x0.0488=A
Ax2 = B. in get the interest for 2years tenure
Then, B +6000 = C. cash+interest
C/24 = then i get the monthly installment.

Where is 9~10% effective rate here?

Sorry, noob here.

Here's an example for better illustration.

Paying high interest rates for personal loans

TS, you might want to pin it on the 1st page for future queries on effective interest rate calculation/illustration.

I filled in via their website yesterday and somebody called me for verification this morning. Somehow I already passed the first round approval and hopefully will be approved soon.

I asked for 0% cash installment and also Lazada vouchers but I was told I can only choose one, so I chose for 0% and hopefully my CL is sufficient for max RM 12k. laugh.gif

I also asked about the potential management fees incurred with my swipes after I get my cash installment, since that happens to BT. I was assured it will not and it will be no charges. So let's see, not planning to use it for anything except for getting free cash. laugh.gif
