Coolman Auto Air Cond Service
Very professional, good workmanship and explain clearly. I changed my condenser leaking oil and gas. A lot of Proton cars changed their condenser there also.

When to do wheel alignment
Your car seems to be drifting to one side, even when you think you're driving straight
You are driving straight, but your steering wheel isn't centered

When to do wheel balancing
Vibration in the steering wheel at certain highway speeds
FYI: Wheel alignment and balancing at PJ Sec 13 SC RM66.00

When to change your tyres
http://www.dunloptyres.co.za/Tyre-Care/Whe...ange-your-tyres
Once your tyres have been on your car for five years, Dunlop recommends having them inspected properly at least once a year. Age deteriorates your tyres regardless of whether or not you drive on them, and it is recommended to get them replaced at the very least every ten years, even if they don’t look worn. Remember that tyre age is measured from the date of manufacture, not of purchase, as tyres wear even in storage.

http://www.michelin.co.uk/tyres/learn-shar...change-my-tyres
After five years or more in service, your tyres should be thoroughly inspected at least once per year. If the need arises, follow the recommendations of the vehicle manufacturer regarding replacing the original equipment tyres. As a precaution, if the tyres have not been replaced 10 years from their date of manufacture (see how to read a tyre sidewall), Michelin recommends replacing them with new tyres. Even if they appear to be in usable condition and have not worn down to the tread wear indicator.

My PS4 tyres lasted me only 4yrs or 36k KM. Had to change cause thread already partly peel off on the sides.

http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/passenger/care/age.aspx
How old is too old?
This is a subject of much debate within the tyre industry and no tyre expert can tell exactly how long a tyre will last. However, on the results of experience many tyre companies, including Bridgestone, warrant their tyres against manufacturing and material defects for five years from the date of manufacture. Based on their understanding a number of vehicle manufacturers are now advising against the use of tyres that are more than six years old due to the effects of ageing.

Fully Synthetic

Shell Hilux Ultra 4L(5w-40) RM247
Shell Hilux HX7 4L RM131
(New formula with Shell PurePlus Technology. Old formula Active Cleansing Agents is much more cheaper. Clearing old stock.)

Differences between API SM and API SL eg. Synthium 800 SM 4L
American Petroleum Institute (API) SM has higher requirements for the lubricants to meet such as superior engine performance, protection and cleanliness as compared to the requirements of API SL.
PETRONAS API SM lubricants will eventually replacing all API SL lubricants. Certain API SL lubricants are sold until stock last.

Fully Synthetic (0W-30, 0W-40,5W-40)
Fuel economy savings
Enhances engine performance and power
Ensures engine is protected from wear and deposit build-up
Ensures good cold starting and quick circulation in freezing temperatures
Gets to moving parts of the engine quickly

Semi-synthetic (5W-30, 10W-40, 15W-40)
Better protection
Good protection within the first 10 minutes after starting out
Roughly three times better at reducing engine wear
Increased oil change intervals - don't need to change it quite so often

Mineral (10W-40, 15W-40)
Basic protection for a variety of engines
Oil needs to be changed more often

Oil type Typically used in....
5W-30 Cooler climates, like Sweden or Canada
10W-40 Temperate climates, like England
15W-50 Hot climates, like Italy, Spain, Egypt

Source:www.shell.com
Note: W, which stands for winter. This number represents the lubricant’s viscosity under lower temperatures, giving an indication of how the oil will flow in the winter. The lower the first number, the thinner it is at low temperatures.

The second number, which appears after the W, represents the oil's viscosity under high temperatures. The higher the number, the thicker the oil will stay at high temperatures. Using the correct viscosity for your engine increases engine performance, reduces engine wear and increases fuel efficiency.

Engine oil additives
Myth 4: “Additives can boost engine oil and engine performance.”
Adding commercially available additives to engine oil is like adding sugar to your soft drink – you do not need it. Premium engine oils have been formulated with all the additives necessary to ensure optimum engine performance.
Additives cannot reduce oil consumption in an old engine or restore the engine protection properties of an old oil. In fact, additives may upset the oil chemistry and create new problems.
It is safer and more economical to use quality tested and ‘packaged’ premium oils. Do not waste your money on additives.

Engine oil change interval

Subject: RE: Oil change interval

Dear Mr Jxxxx,

First of all, please accept our sincere apologies on the delayed reply to your enquiry.

Referring to your concern, we would like to inform that there is no harm in servicing your vehicle at every 5,000km or 10,000km. At the end of the day, regular servicing is only extra care for ones vehicle. In your case, if you are confused with the servicing schedule, we would strongly advice you to use the service booklet as your guide.

Normally we, as users would be able to ‘feel’ the condition of our car. For example, if the vehicle is under severe usage, one would feel the engine performance a little’ heavy’ after a period of time. In this case, servicing the vehicle at the 5,000km interval is definitely most advisable. Otherwise, the latter would suffice.

Hope this clarifies your doubt. Thank you.

Best Regards,
Dxxxx

Went to Pusat Perkhidmatan Satria Sdn Bhd for checking faulty sensor. Need 2 weeks for part replacement?!

Small SC and not crowded. SA was friendly.

Then went to Proton Edar Petaling Jaya(No. 17, Seksyen 51A, Jalan 227, 03-79568811) very close by.

Quite big SC and good waiting area which is quite similar to CoSE.
Parking space seems to be full. Looks like they do bodywork and paint, got few parked accident cars and 1 waiting for paint to dry cover with plastic.

Inside waiting area not many customers. There's another smaller waiting area on 1st floor.

They prefer customers to do booking for appointment. Cannot do replacement part but asked to book weekdays to do it. Looks like most SC prefer to do servicing only on Saturdays.

I think COSE accepts it.

The one I always go to is SM Bolton Sdn. Bhd [Selayang]. So far satisfied with it, have claimed warranty at no hassle. Sometimes they called me before to remind that my car needed servicing soon.

Wifi, TV and newspapers at waiting area.

That's bad. We can use the vouchers(3 yrs free service) for any EO except cannot use multiple vouchers at one time(T&C: One voucher for one redemption only and cannot be accumulated). The extra costs we had to top up. Unless that SC does not have the full synth EO and insist to use mineral/semi-synth(TQ Quazacolt my bad, too much sync in my mind rclxub.gif ).

Better check first if the SC have the EO or allow to bring our own(if it does not void the warranty).

Proton CoSE allow you to bring your EO with condition that engine warranty void.
Been there and done that until my car warranty ended. Currently no more warranty but send back to CoSE to claim IAFM and rear axle.

I would recommend CoSE for their services (at least to one of their SA which I only allow him to treat my car)

This morning went to Proton Edar Section 13(Bodywork & Paint, Jalan 13/6A, PJ, 03-79577427) for warranty claim and was very satisfied with their service and friendly too. Lucky they do have stock rclxms.gif or else have to go there again when they received the replacement part. My appointment 8am and reached there 7.30am they already opened.

Good waiting area with light refreshments. If want heavy refreshments just walk outside the entrance and enjoy the hawker stalls along the road.

The service area is at the sides of the square building and in the center you park your car for servicing. Saw one car being respray with new paint.

They have EO up to 1K full synth. Can try to request SC to order 3K full synth if you really need it.

So far only one mentioned by theonlyvin is Proton SC Dealer Apple Auto Sri Kembangan they got Syntium 3k, 5k, and 7k.

I did asked the SC about EO Synth 3k and above and they mentioned not popular and expensive. They don't want to keep stock. Maybe you can try to ask them first got stock or are they willing to order for you.

Of course you can insist to bring your own EO but they will not take responsibility if anything happened to your engine.

Proton Edar Glenmarie Hicom(03-55693866)

This SC closed down already few months ago. It was my preferred place although I stay very far from it.

From what ive seen in Proton car clubs, Proton Setapak is the best SC to make warranty claims.. As they are supposedly fast and efficient

Best to make claim on warranty...but are not fast and efficient.

My experiences...

Wait 3 week for seat claim preve. (Call them once in a week to push them)
Seat replace... from 9am to 5.30 pm... faintss (with booking)

Claim mounting, air filter box and some problem ( leave my car there from monday to thursday...collect car at 4.30pm)

They do help me alot on claiming warranty. Unlikr other sc, they will always non sense and bullshit to stop u from claiming warranty.

I update the list based on feedbacks from Lowyat forum.

Yes, same SC do listed in both good and bad because some people don't have problem and some unfortunate ones do have problem with the same SC.

No idea about that. Plan to service my Proton there, hence I called to check if they carry Synthium 3000. They aren't very confidence inspiring.

I have a confirmed appointment with Proton Edar Cheras/Bdr Tun Razak on this Wednesday. My wife was so kind to offer to service my car today, ahead of schedule. She drove to Proton Edar Cheras and was turned away because they were fully booked until Friday. I then suggested she service at Apple Auto. My wife had a negative experience there. To cut to the chase, they didn't accept Proton service vouchers (because they claimed that the voucher values were different from previous batches) and made her call Proton and We Care back and forth. After further deliberation, their management accepted our Proton service vouchers.

Then came the fact that they didn't have a 1L bottle of Synthium 3000. They only had the 4L bottles. They suggested my wife accept 4L of Synthium 3000 and 0.3L of Synthium 1000 or equivalent. Wife asked them to go get new stock of 1L Synthium 3000 but they were unable to comply. Wife suggested that they allow her to go buy 1L of Synthium 3000 from any Petronas Mesra stores but was refused as well. Instead they insisted that wife purchase 2 x 4L Synthium 3000 to which she disagreed and left Apple Auto.

Wife drove to a new service centre Tropical Impact, Balakong just to see if they have Synthium 3000 on hand. They did, so wife serviced my car there. Service was alright. Will service at Proton Edar Cheras in the future and share my findings there.

Sorry for my ignorant, why do you need a 1L bottle of EO. I thought most cars require about 4L of EO.

I think most SC don't allow you to bring your own EO because they don't want to be responsible if anything wrong happened to the engine. Buying from them will help them to earn a little bit commission to keep them afloat.

Inspira needs 4.25l.

btw, you can buy from outside shop if your warranty expires. Since no more warranty, nothing to void.

I service my car at this Taman Megah branch. Small branch, but ok so far.

Is it? Hmm...maybe the bottles i bought only has 926ml (1 quartz or something), so 4 bottles add up not enough 4L, hence needs the 5th bottle.

as per K3nnYkl82 mentioned, 4L enough.
no more no less.

manual specified 4.3l is assuming if you let the oil to drip fully for hours, and that probably doesn't take account on the left over oil within the oil pan or whatever oil passageways that doesnt flow downwards to the oil pan/drain outlet.

SC won't let your car hang there for hours just to drip EO.

Anybody knows which Proton Service Center carries syntium 5000 0w30 except for AppleAuto?

AppleAuto stopped bringing in syntium 5000 0w30 because they say petronas had stopped production for that particular EO.

Yeah, its RM250 per 4L pack.

AppleAuto insisted me on taking syntium 7k 0W40 as it was only RM260 IIRC. But i wasn't so keen on using 40 weight EO in new car as I was opting for 30 weight EO.

During my 2nd service at AppleAuto, I told the mechanic to check my leaky brake fluid reservoir and also retighten the undercarriage nuts or suspension parts as there were funny sounds over the road. Non of it was even being checked or done, only changing the oils.

Time to try Sec 13 SC and see how it goes.

About on last December 2014, I went to the SC at Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras.
It was on Saturday as I didnt have anymore annual leave for last year. This was my first 1000km service.

Before that I have been reading of whats to do and whats not.

Booked appointment about 4 days before that already for 8 am.

Reached there about 8.20am, a bit lost as that was my first time around that area.

I asked specifically for full syn3000 oil for my preve exec cvt. During filling in the form, I saw her ticked the antibac and fuel cleaning (suspected the x-1r stuff). I asked her to remove that options as I knew both are optional.

But she insisted saying that both are a must. I am not an arguing type of guy, as she really insisted, I just said went ahead as I was expecting everything will be done fast.

I also asked if can check my brake juddering sound, eventhough on telephone, the receptionist girl said can check, but at the counter girl, she said cannot because limited time on Saturday and only normal EO servicing will be available.

Now the waiting part. Around almost before 10am, suddenly I saw my car already in front of the counter office. I thought maybe I will be finish around 10am plus.

But only after 11am they called me for billing purpose. That was surprisingly slow considering I booked at 8am. 3hours plus overall just for 1000km service.

Saw the bill with nonsense stuff charged then made me feel much not satisfied, will not be coming here again.

Other than the slow process and additional charges enforcement, it was acceptable.

i did my 1k service at mutiara damansara sc spent nearly 3hrs there. had an argument there about 3 years free service, they refused to call we care and i was told to call myself on the spot. sorry, not going back there anymore

then, 5k service at senawang sc spent more than 3hrs there. paid for semi EO and didn't get the free gift at all. very near to my home but ain't going back there again.

10k service at apple auto seri kembangan. no appointment just drop by and everything done within 1hr++ with free simple car wash. also did the flash ECU thing. during payment, received the petronas EO free gift from them

after that make another trip to apple auto for the air filter box replacement. called them in the morning and drop by in the afternoon. everything done within 15mins smile.gif

i did heard some ppl have bad experiences at apple auto previously

You should insist on not buying those extra junks. What xr1....may cause more harm than good. My sc never force me buy extra junk.

did my 20k service at sc wanija senawang. 1 senior female advisor at the servicing counter very unfriendly and rude towards customer

first and last time going there!

complaint 3 things to them
1. krikkrok sound on my driver seat
2. cushion covers all berbulu (8 months old)
3. high speed brake steering shaking badly

after service was done, service advisor explained to me:
1. cannot do anything about krikkrok sound on my driver seat, asked me go back to dealer that sold me the car
2. cushion covers berbulu also cannot do anything and again asked me go back to dealer that sold the car to me
3. since i change my standard rims to proton r3 rims... warranty void

lastly, they forgot to give me my tea cup set (freebie from using petronas synthium 1000)

Understand how you feel! I experienced the same thing at Proton SC @ Jalan 227 .

Other than engine oil and oil filter, the 'service advisor' in a way PRESSURED me to change 'Coolant + Spark Plugs + AntiBac crap for aircon' . While I was still thinking and looking at the list, the service advisor just kept saying "Ok ya? Ok. Sign saja. Ya, sign saja." . Pissing off.. Next time I'm not gonna put up with this kind of behavior. I will just tell them to WAIT WHILE I MAKE MY DECISION.

Anyway, it was all done within 1 Hour. So quick for all those servicing?

And all I saw was the rear of my car in the servicing area (not even parked in a servicing bay, they just parked it in the middle of the servicing area) , and they parked it FACING AWAY from the waiting lounge's window area, with the engine hood open. So i couldn't see anything being done to the engine. Next time I'll just hang around my car while they are servicing. If they do not allow it, I'll just stop the servicing and take back my car!

Until now, I suspect they never even changed the coolant, spark plug, and AntiBac crap. Coolant looks the same. Spark plugs couldn't be opened, so I couldn't check. (I am going to buy the tool to DIY check or change soon.) And that AntiBac, how would we know if they even did it??? My aircon smelt and felt the same after the servicing anyway.

Cheated once, never again!

There is only one Service Advisor which I trust in Jalan 227 SC, his name is Amarjit Singh. Very good and attentive Service Advisor. Although sometimes I know some things he explain to me is just to 'layan' my inquiries, but so far he has helped in quick warranty claims. And also there is a senior mechanic, malay guy, who was experienced with my warranty repairs. I forgot his name. Pakai cermin mata guy.

Other mechs in there, (especially a chinese mech who went test drive with me when I had to show him my car issues), were all damn lazy and didn't even wanted to help. Kept giving excuses and even gave the typical "Proton is like that" sort of bullshit speech.

Just added my new 2nd service at Apple Auto Service
- Booking was done 4 days before for Saturday 8.30am
- Arrived 8.20am
- Counter girl said CC was down, only cash. She offered one of worker to assist me going to nearest ATM. I said, it is ok, i will go myself.
- Returned back around 8.40am
- Service done around 9.30am. They even washed my car (outside only, but something lar)
- Foods provided also, not sure if Saturday only (some nasi ayam and some kuehs). Drinks of course.
- Anyway, car was done pretty well. Cover to steering and also proper seat cover plus foot cover to prevent smear of oil

Pretty much satisfied. rm145 for second service (Petronas Syn3000) with e-voucher rm95

Just came back from Apple Auto to change my front bulb. Should be FREE but the system down to key in the recall program, so I have to pay for myself RM 25. Since the trouble is not due to their fault and the price is reasonable, I think I can forget that.

The service is however - superb. Finish within 5-10 minutes.

Recommended.

i choice would be Proton SC Taman Keramat (Khasiat Jati SB). will ask anything problem with your car for them to check/fix. only problem is that waiting period will be long due to many car owners send their car over there for servicing. i guess of their good service. they will tell us what's the items for servicing and and only do what we want and don't want (at least for my case). they never promote crap items e.g x1r, windscreen washer would rate them 3 smile.gif

No such thing changing R3 rims Void warranty - intang matang Syeksyen 25 also said the same thing but i argue R3 rims belong to Proton thus it should consider within warranty then They called i dont know who (probably Proton HQ) after that done it for free for me.

I think what you meant is engine oil instead of petrol oil.

Normally every service interval as stated in your car service booklet the engine oil, engine oil filter and drain plug gasket need to be changed.

Please refer to your car service booklet to see what need to be done. Try not to go beyond 1k for your first service or else you'll be having hard time to explain to the service center not to void your warranty.

I've been sending my Inspira to the Section 13 SC past few services. Am satisfied with their service and they do allow me to bring my own EO. I was not told about any void of warranty though. Recently however they have service to order the oil that you need so I may do that instead of bringing my own. I use Syntium 3000 which I get from one of the spareparts shop in Sea park near the Shell/Maybank area.

If u have any claim, please visit setapak 3S centre. Quite easy to get thing solved there.

But bear in mind, due to the high volume of car there, the working speed is very slow. If claiming cna take up to whole day. For myself, i left my car there for 3 day.

Just done my 3rd service at Intan Matang (Proservis Sdn Bhd) at Shah Alam. Didn't managed to book so walk-in. They use card number for counter que.
Arrived there quite late around 10am and the place is crowded with customers. Have to wait for 5 turns before I was called. The holding area is quite small with only 4 counters.
Unfortunately had to wait until 2pm only they started to work on my car. Good thing is a least there is a kopitiam behind the SC for my lunch.
It took nearly 2hrs to complete the standard service with FOC car wash. Saw the notice FOC car wash is only for customers doing interval service.
There's free small cup mineral water and coffee. Didn't manage to grab one whoosh all gone before noon.

It's one of the few SC that open on Sundays. You can choose either Petronas or Shell EO. Unfortunately Petronas EO Syn 3K was out of stock.
Overall I'm happy with the service but there's room for improvement like two of the long metal bench is slightly bend maybe too many heavy weight customers.
Imagine how nice if there's a TV displaying all the cars status in que for servicing eg. waiting, servicing in progress or completed.

Just had my service done.

I'm surprised and happy to say that the service was excellent. By far the best Proton service center I have ever encountered.

Just your typical 20k km service + 1 minor complaint about brake pedal squeaky sound.

Everything was done and problems fixed in 1 hour 15 minutes, exactly what the very nice and friendly malay lady at the counter told me.

Definitely will go back there for service in the future thumbup.gif

Just done my first service at Proton Edar Setapak this morning.

Whole process took around 1 hour+ as I get my car at 9.45am. No complain make so they just help me changed engine oil, oil filter, drain plug and also run through a overall checking I guess.

I guess they also help me update TCU or whatsoever, now I super like my ride. no more jerking and super smooth, hope it won't just last for few days. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

So overall I think this sc is good to go in future. biggrin.gif

Please do not service your car in Vector Auto anymore. It is no longer an authorized centre, you will have problem claim warranty if later you service or breakdown at other service centres. I have this problem and I regret so much, 2 of my proton cars already void warranty because not sending to authorized centre. They should inform if they are no longer authorized dealer.

Any recommendation proton center for my next service? Prefer around KL.

Some questions regarding repaint.

Do they only use back the original paint when we send back for repaint? Can we like change from solid to metallic?
Also do we need to leave our car there overnight? If so how long will it take?

Thanks.

Proton authorised SC Apple Auto Serdang, I used to favour this SC, not anymore. Here's why

Incident 1:

Bought a new Proton Persona SV, it came with 6 service vouchers. Sent my car to Apple Auto for 1st service (1k km), the voucher value was RM96 which includes all service parts (EO, EO filter, drain plug), labour is free.

Because the RM96 voucher is for mineral oil only (Petronas Mach 5), I ask the service advisor if I can top up to upgrade to Semi-Syn oil. He said can, and start tapping on the calculator. He told me to top up RM126, so add to the RM96 voucher, total is RM222. I was like WTF, apelanjiao Petronas semi syn oil will cost me RM222, My previous Proton Saga FLX service with fully syn oil also less than RM210.

So I said, NEVERMIND, use the voucher and mineral oil. Then the SA goes on to tell me, mineral oil need to come back at 5k km, that one cannot use voucher as the next voucher is 10k km. I ask him, if I come back at 5k km to service how much will it cost? he cucuk calculator again and told me RM123. So in fact it would be cheaper for me to come back at 5k km and pay RM123, than to top up RM126 now. I kept quiet and let that fact sink in for him....then he try to putar halim say mafan lor have to come back again at 5k. I just told him nevermind I got plenty of free time. At this point I was sure he was simply pulling figures out his arse.

Habis servis, he "remind" me again to come back at 5k km or warranty void. After I reach home I call up Proton WeCare and ask if it is necessary, the customer service officer told me use mineral oil for 10k km will not affect the warranty. 3 months later I sent the car to COSE for warranty claim and asked the same question to the SA there, he told me it's OK.

P/S: before you crucify me for using mineral oil for 10k km, this car is a low mileage car. 6 months later it was still stuck at 4k++ km.

Incident 2:

So 6 months later, time for my second service. Against my better judgement I went to Apple Auto again.

Like I said, it's a low mileage car. To keep my warranty, I must send it in for service in 6 months, but my mileage was just reaching 5k km. This time they tell me : Mister you car not yet 5k km, so cannot use the 10k km voucher, and 5k km service also not eligible for free labour, so you need to pay RM120++.

I argued with them, The terms of warranty states service every 10k km or 6 months whichever comes first. They countered me "Oh we only see the mileage, the period of time is not relevant..."

This time I dulan already, I called WeCare up on the spot and ask the customer service if this is true. Of course, they confirm that I can use the voucher since it has already been 6 months. So I straight told the advisor at Apple Auto, please cancel the service I'm taking the car home. They try to scare me that I will void my warranty if I don't service, I just tell them nevermind.

A few weeks later I send the car to Proton Edar Puchong SC and got it done without any trouble. This time I just added RM30++ on top of the voucher to upgrade to semi-syn oil.

Recently i have some issue with apple auto too

My dics actually not flat edi. Need to skim or replace new 1. By right, my car is under warranty ma. They wanna charge me for skimming and charge me for rm78. Then i ask for warranty claim la, they don allow. Nvm, not the issue but they force me to replace together with stock brake pad. WTF. If dont want replace the brake pad, they wont help me to claim or skim. Ok fine.

I submit my claim for seat replacement for 2 month and last they call me said dealer cannot replace seat anymore. Ask me to go 3S. I complaint this to wecare and the next day, i received call from them saying that my seat reached edi.

Aiks. Normal service ok. Warranty claim banyak pattern after they lead technician Wan Mahathir has resigned.

1st service done at proton edar puchong jaya,

walk in without prior booking and was surprised that they can accommodate my request for service without fuss as there was about 10 or more customers at the waiting area.

no nightmare of force adding optional items, was only charged rm140.15 for syntium 800 10w/40, oil filter and gasket drain plug. charges for 1st service and handbrake adjustment was waived, car check in 1000am and done by 1130am which was fast by my standard.

waiting area have sufficient seats, two lcds with different programs switch on, free tm wifi and free flow coffee.

going back for subsequent service as 2nd and 3rd service is waived according to the sa. overall was pleasant experience and job well done by the service center thumbup.gif

From this post, I only know that Vector Auto no more authorized Proton Service SC but they still charging for SC rate. :-(.
Anyway, already few months back. Now I service outside.

My Proton Persona just change the battery. When I change the battery, the engine was started. So it is OK.
I switch off my engine and start back, it is OK.
However, 2nd time I switch off my engine and start back, the voltage was not stable. It is causing my CD player was locked with security code.
I check the user manual, the default is "0000". I call the Proton Service helpline as well. They revert the same.
However, it is not a right code. Anyone know where can I unlock this ? :-(
Your help is much appreciated.

I would suggest you tryout the Persona owners' forum where you should be able to get better help. This forum is mainly for those Proton owners to share their experience on the Proton Service Centre.

Johor area:
Went to Proton Larkin SC yesterday. Everything else is good for me. Waiting time, quality of work, waiting area comfort. BUT, and its a big but, I smell cigarette inside the car. Most prolly service tech smoke inside my car. Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. I'm a smoker, but in 1 year plus of owning the car, never have i smoke inside the car.

Just done my service this morning at Senaxis. Very good service and technician is very good. He mentioned that inspection of rattling is better do be done in the weekdays due to high demand of service in the weekend. However, he still ask me to sit beside and hear the rattling sound together and point the source where it's coming from. Although he insert something but still unable to solve. Other part start to rattle. Nevertheless, i'm happy with the service centre and will go bck again during weekdays to check up.

Hmm, I've being sending my flx the last 3 years to Bukit Maluri SC and has no complaint. Not sure why it is rank as bad.
Whatever parts they have, if need replacement, was done quickly. The technicians explain quite detail on what is the problem if any, and if your cars under warranty, and you think that the headlamp got steamed or condensed with water, they replaced the whole headlamp set, not one side, both sides. No need to make appointment if u have minor things like TCU issues or urgent stuff like can't start or engine jerking. Can potong que and have your car check first. Maybe I'm the only one having this experience with them, lol, like VIP.

If you in Sg Besar Selangor, then the Authorized SC there is quite good too based on my emergency problem while on the way to Pangkor. If you ever in that area and about to hit your maintenance schedule, send it there for quick inspection and service. CSH Auto Sdn Bhd

Now I need to send my son Iriz for 1st service tomorrow, after reading the review here, scared to go Bukit Maluri already, hahaha.

Been to Mutiara once, not so satisfied. I listed out list of problems I had with my car, the advisor said, we can't fix all due to high volume of cars in que during festive season few months ago.

I was fine with that. Can address next time. But what pisses me off is, i arrived early and was told it will be done in 2 hours. Great.

But what pisses me off is only 1 hour later the car moved into the service bay. Then can see from the window, the attitude of those people like 'malas kerja' or holiday mood already.

In the end, my car was ready 5 hours later. I was upset because I could have just drop the car off and pick up later. Bear in mind, this is just basic 1st service, EO change, filter change, that's it. I can't accept high volume as a solid reason. Even if there are many cars to service, don't say 2 hours. Damn.

Now for 2nd service, I was reading this forum and saw many good reviews about Senaxis. Called them up, 3 rings and someone answered. I am shocked, because other centers i called up, no answer. Fed up of waiting for my call to be answered.

The guy sounded very very friendly and said I can come now. I was like, what? walk in service? no appointment?

So yeah i will let you guys know how it goes

done 1st service on iriz today and also bring in flx for some repair works @bukit maluri sc.
No appointment and reach there at 8.15.
Already have 8 cars service books on the registration counter. Registered iriz and it was no 9 and saga flx did not register.
The service counter was wo-manned by 1 woman as 3 others cuti or didn't come without notice.

by 8.58 she attended to my son's iriz and i asked her to call her workshop supervisor to check on my saga flx to check on something. While she's attending to my son complaints, I was having some discussion with the foreman for the flx issues.
9.10 am registration and printout of complains done. should take only 5 minutes but cause of flx it takes slightly longer and was told that they take 2 days to do the saga so i have to leave it there.

Looking out at the service bays, only 1 bay left empty.

Somehow the iriz has 3 cars que ahead for the service bay and should be 2 if the empty slots given to the next que. Surprisingly, instead of waiting for the que, they took in the flx for repair job. So flx went in and occupied that empty slot for the whole day la.

While in the waiting room I saw the 80 minutes KPI service from start to finish from proton sc, with appointment. lets see how long i have to wait.

10.10 am Iriz still not moving. 1 car went out, so now 2 que left
11.15 am 1 more que left
11.45 am Iriz went in.
12.15 noon Iriz servicing for complaints and engine oil done. Next is the wheel balancing. Mechanic drove the car to tires area. Now this is where the waiting is. One person is doing the balancing and alignment. 2 cars still not completed. Took the mechanic about 15 minutes for each car.
1pm, completed balancing.
1.15pm pay RM220 for 1st service with fully-synt oil.

And was told by supervisor flx will be ready today since the start work on it earlier but will be ready by 4pm.

left the SC and probably return back tomorrow to pick up flx.

8.15 am - 1.15 - 5 hours of waiting.
Actual time to service is only 45 minutes. 80 minutes KPI is probably correct but I dont have appointment and the rest that came earlier than me has appointment. 2 cars actually potong my que cause of their appointment but my flx potong all ques smile.gif.

All in I would say @bukit maluri is not bad if u have no appointment and nothing else to do that day.

Next service, @Mutiara unless someone can say that last one month visit is terrible. I was informed that major overhaul was made to that center in terms of manpower. Since Nov, new manager, best and promoted staffs from other SCs were transferred there. Mutiara is by appointment only.

+1 @bukit maluri.

Mixed service at Mutiara. I had a minor problem with my Preve (CVT error - delay 1 second to move after engaging D), went to the receptionist, she insisted that I had to make an appointment.

Drove around the block, went straight to the service bay and ask the foreman to check and fixed it instantly smile.gif

What? Really? Then the processes should be big improvement. I am suppose to go there to do my next service, but after my service few months ago i decided not to return.

I usually get my service done at the 222 Proton Edar SC here in PJ. Even if I've only done one service with them thus far, I have no issues with the workmanship during that previous visit. The SC is also reasonably spacious and comfy, although nothing compared with the huge Perodua Sentral in Section 19! laugh.gif

Only one problem I faced though - when I made a reservation a week earlier, turns out that this was not done when I went to 222 on the designated date (I always write down my appointments in the iPhone, with a reminder set accordingly). Luckily the SC wasn't crowded with cars that day and managed to slot my Exora in for a servicing. thumbup.gif

Update:

Service at Senaxis. I will give it a smile.gif

They will really listen to the problems of your car. When other customers come in, I will hear the service manager asking if there are any problems with customers' cars.

They are also very honest when giving advise or feedback with your car problems.

I will definitely come back here for next service. Am also thinking of bringing my other proton cars here to service.

Highly recommended. You can even drive-in without appointment. But better to call first.

Dropped by Senaxis Sdn Bhd @ Taman Mayang for the 2nd time for service. Had some minor problems that were rectified effectively. Again, the staff were overall excellent. Understanding, helpful, communicative and honest thumbup.gif

I called up to make an appointment before dropping by just to be courteous. The entire service was done within 2 hours (I had quite a few things to be rectified along with the regular oil change).

Second time visiting this SC, overall still a very pleasant experience and I will still definitely return again for service in the future smile.gif

Just noticed today that this post of mine had been tagged in the 1st post for negative experiences with Shah Alam CoSE and Mutiara D'sara.

I think I should elaborate on my experiences.

*Shah Alam CoSE
1. Sent my car in to have some problems fixed and for regular service. I dropped the car off at 10am and told them I will return to pick it up at 4pm.
2. I received a call at 4pm saying that they want me to leave my car there overnight because the technicians have identified a coolant hose leak.

3. The next morning upon collection of my car, in the invoice I noticed that there was no remarks made of coolant hose leak.
4. Upon asking the service advisor, he just said "Yeah don't worry we fixed it". I just accepted his word and moved on.

5. Upon entering my car, I just realised and remembered that I had left my dash cam in the car.
6. Once I got home, I checked the recordings of the dash cam and found out that turns out

7. The reason I had to leave my car overnight was because they only were about to start working on my car AT 4PM
,

8. And only moved my car from the place where I parked it AT 4PM
(according to the dash cam clock).

9. In the recording, I could overhear the conversation between the technician and the service advisor
10. They were saying something along the lines of

11. "Just tell the customer to leave the car overnight! We won't be able to finish servicing it by today!".

12. So no, there was no "coolant hose leak".

13. It was just a bullsh*t story made up to convince me to leave my car there overnight at my expense.

14. The technicians and service advisor working on my car were just a bunch of lazy and dishonest maggots.

I have made a complaint to Proton's customer care e-mail to no avail. Looks like they just threw my complaint in the trash and pretend like it never happened.

...and yes I do still have the said dash cam recording.

*Mutiara Damansara
Dropped off my car at 10am. Mentioned that I will return to pick it up at 4pm. Service advisor called me to say that I can only pick it up tomorrow for them to diagnose a problem that I wanted fixed. I have a strong suspicion that I was being bullsh*t by them like with the Shah Alam CoSE, judging by the numerous complaints on this SC regarding how they came back to pick up their car at the end of the day, and the car was still parked in the exact same spot as they left it.

I did my first service at Taman Keramat Khasiat Jadi despite having free vouchers for other SC. The place may not look posh compared to other SCs but it offered me excellent service.

I had only two minor complaints and the rectified them quickly and also took it upon themselves to adjust the handbrake even though I didn't complained about it being too tight. They just took two hours despite needing to dismantle the rear door panel. And find the little belt noise cause.

Gave me Helix engine oil. i took semi. No undue pressure and genuinely play by the rule. i rate the best service center and have full confidence. Keep it up Khasiat Jati.

Went to Taman Keramat Khasiat Jadi based on this thread. Overall good and honest. I requested a ride back as my office was nearby. They did take the effort and time to explain some items I highlighted with my persona. Would recommend.

Went to Section 13 Service Centre last Wednesday. Overall the experience went well. Reached the centre around 10am, waited for 40 minutes i guess due to all the drivers that came earlier.

Have a chit chat with the advisor. He also recommend me to claim any possible items, as I'm reaching three years old already. But just plan for a normal service and complete by 12.30pm. The service also conducted by the book, no more and no less. Highly recommended.

Today service my car at Senaxis Sdn Bhd(No.50, Jalan SS26/11, Taman Mayang Jaya, 03-78064654). A small SC with only one counter but rather popular. I thought I was early went there about 8.30am already customers queued up even the workshop grille only open at the office counter side. There are so many customers before me so had to wait until 11am only my car start to get pampered. Fortunately there is a food court Mayang Oasis besides the SC where get to kill small part of my time. Luckily got wifi to kill the rest of my time. Since the SC is small, can go up close to see my car being pampered. Finished around 1pm and on my way back got stuck at Taman Megah school. Do a U turn and exit the highway near the church. No complaint and was happy with the SC smile.gif .

I always does my service at panorama Sc in ayer keroh. I like it because
1)hardly anyone there so it's fast
2) get free breakfast but just light snack afterwards
3) free flow coffee
4)never push me to buy unneeded thing
5)fast wifi

Bad thing about it is there's not even any unnecessary things that they do even if you request it. No balancing, no alignment, no spraying detox, nothing

Proton main Sc in bachang melaka is quite horrible. Always push me to buy unneeded things, the wait is long, they won't even allowed you to go to the counter at lunch forcing you to wait, no refreshments even water need to be purchased through vending machine, wifi is slow

Went to World car care in Bukit serdang last month. Terrible service and tai chi all the way of my problem

1. Steering shake and juddering during uneven road. Obviously whole steering rack is at free move while turning the steering. Told me is balancing problem. When i denied that, they blame on tyre.

2. The upper arm link in the rear side is shaking. The joint is at free play. But they blame on my spring buffer which is very unrelevant.

I fed up, wont service there anymore

I do not recommend Mutiara Damansara SC also.

My new car delivery was delayed because the staff were slow to fix braking problems associated with the vehicle. They had 4 days for this. The car was delivered to me with a punctured rear right passenger headrest and some scratches on the driver door trim. Luckily my sales advisor is very reliable and dealt with it immediately.

It's okay to ask, everyone worry with their car might "smells lemon".

I was given "expired" car tyres, 2013.. but bought the car at last year.

Mine is Suprima. I replaced it at PJ SC. I call few branches and luckily they refer to the one with stock. COSE line is really difficult to get through when I did my 1st service there and managed to replace both front barke discs due to brake issue.

Go Proton edar sungai besi, if your car got big problem like airbag light on, abs light on...etc. The small dealer service center cant solve some serious problem, they will ask u to go big proton edar service center.

Venue : Proton SC Dealer Apple Auto
Date : 5 Nov 2016
Service : 50k

Nothing much, just standard oil change plus tyre balancing/alignment.
Left bulb was changed.

Comment : Left bulb was installed incorrectly. I had to reallign it back by myself and they also forgot to close back the bulb cap.

Luckily it was stuck behind the battery and was not thrown away during my drive back T_T

This is a good thread and worth to keep updated.

Proton Edar @ Mutiara Damansara is getting so bad they are not even picking up phone calls for booking appts (03 7725 8228, 7726 9148). The only reason why I kept going to them all these years is because their location is closest to where I live and I can drop my car and walk to Ikea, Curve etc for shopping. The service duration can take from 9am - 4pm, most times your car is just left there sitting in the workshop.

Anyway I have had it with them. Will try this next and give my feedback later.

Normally they want you to buy from them so they can earn some money ma. I did asked and the answer is if you bring the engine oil yourself they will not be responsible if anything happen to your engine. Well no harm to call the SC first to ask if they allow you to bring your own.

The service centre service sucks big time!  Is this a standard practice or SOP for Proton to direct it customer to purchased a car battery which is still under warranty by Proton just because the entire service centre doesn't have a single car battery?! Proton doesn't keep any spare battery for servicing?! My parents end up purchased a temporary battery from a car accessories as directed by the service technician at Jalan TAR, Ipoh. After a few months, that's right, few month after repeated calls and chasing, they finally call us saying the battery had arrived! It is utterly embarrassing for a service centre of Proton to not carry any battery and it takes few months to order battery (No DHL?). Your CEO had pledge for service excellence and promise to re-brand the name of Proton, I think all this are talks but no action. Why does it take 1-2 weeks to order a motherboard, you mean there isn't a motherboard in the entire service centre in Perak ? Even if it is embarrassingly true, why does it take 1-2 weeks for the motherboard to be deliver from HQ? You guys never heard of DHL, FedEx or TNT Express logistic service?
I strongly discourage anyone buying Proton as their car is definitely proven to have frequent reliability issue. My parents Proton Exora within 2 years suffer multiple problems including breakdown of car battery and the sales person and technician even tell my parents to buy own battery from the workshop outside while waiting for battery replacement! That means they are telling us the whole proton edae service centre doesn't even have 1 battery?! Is that a joke?! After waiting for few months and with frequent calls, finally they informed us that the battery is ready! I had let this matter rest without complaining but now another new problems which really getting my nerved. The car now suddenly unable to accelerate due to motherboard issue as per the service technician and they said it may take 1 week or indefinitely because they need to wait for the motherboard from HQ! Is that a joke?! Yet again Proton doesn't have a single piece of motherboard keeping in the service centre?! My question to them is, why does it take them 1 week or even months to deliver the motherboard or a car battery? They doesn't know there is a thing call courier service?! DHL or Fedex can deliver the items in 24 hrs?! Now my parents are stuck without their car for indefinite period! When they call the sales advisor surname Mr Lau who sold them this car refuse to answer their calls and threaten them like an ediot! Fyi, im referring to your service centre in Jalan TAR, Ipoh Perak! Im grateful this car is it within warranty and once it is repaired I would tell them to sell it immediately! Never again Proton! Shitty service and living nightmare! Enough is enough! At least the car is still under warranty and once it is fixed I would sell it off ASAP.

That's the price for getting a proton .some of them will treat u like bugger. Experienced it on 1998,and no more proton for me for my life .

their service is good, even im not *appointment customer* most of the time, they still do it fast, sent at 2pm and finish by 4pm (suppose to take 1hour plus but i request to check something, thats why it took 2hours).
Warranty claim so far none because i void it some of the warranty..hahaha
but i did request for a new headlamp cap for free (lost it at highway, then notice got water accumulation)

Free service depending on your purchase offer. Mine got voucher for 7 free service even printed was 8 (2 free service using same code which is actually only 1 free service). There is a time limit to use all the 7 free service, in my case valid for 36 months. If exceed 36 months free service burnt/gone.

Tyres normally no warranty cause wear and tear. But you can try to claim for defects when your car is still new. Some of my friend managed to get the tyres replaced but no use you get the same ayam brand tyre problem.

went to World Car Care, Bukit Serdang, Seri Kembangan to service my car.

when register at counter, request to check the brake pad see whether need to replace or not. The counter ppl say if ask them to check brake pad, must clean the piston first.

I am doubt and ask them to just check the brake pad without clean piston. A technician (looks like senior) come and said must clean piston, if not cannot check the brake pad.

Is this common? Or the technician and counter SA lie?

What pistons? If it is engine pistons then what have it got to do with the brakes?

Mine costs about RM60+ for brake servicing. Only clean brake pad and do some greasing for both front and rear. Not so effective for the brake at the rear. After 2 weeks the sound like bus brake came back.

The pistons mentioned is a component in the brakecaliper that pushes the brake pad against the brake rotor when braking. Refer to the image below.

Went proton Cose Subang.

There for 6 hours from 9.30 am.

Went to check out my car around @ service bay around 11 am. No technician in sight. Thought haven't start. Waited till 1 pm, still no technician in sight. Asked someone where the hell is the technician. The someone followed me to my car in service bay and checked the service slip. He said it is complete.

What the flying fuck!? If complete since 11 am why dint release it? They released it later around 3pm. Wtf...

In addition, not all issues complained is solved. mad.gif

You have to make your own choice based on others feedback in the first page on the SC near to your preferred location.

Once you have tried your preferred SC feel free to share your experience there.

Small and popular SC Senaxis at PJ. Bigger than Senaxis is Proton Edar Sec 13 SC at PJ. The biggest SC is CoSE but very crowded.

sent iriz to mutiara damansara.
they wanted to do alignment and balancing on an 18 month car.
even though there is nothing wrong with it.
it says so on the service list.
charged RM61 for it.
now the car drifts to the right when steering wheel is centered.
went to complain.
they fixed it.
it's a little better but not perfect as before.
checked tyre pressure that night.
they just lower the pressure on one tyre.
with the same pressure it drifts to the right.
i'm not sure if i want to waste my time pursuing them.

anyway,
on the same service.
they managed to scuff some paint off on the front left bumper.
they didn't admit it the first time and then just say some other customer might have scraped it.
they offered to paint it back, that's a 1 day job and another day of keeping the car at home under the roof.

previous service was fine. they were just slow to take the car in. 45 minutes just to check the car in.

definitely will not send to them anymore. they're just nearby, so i need to go out a little further next time.

might even consider not sending at all, diy, and just void the warranty.

don't do the alignment and balancing in proton service centre.. they are not same professional like those in tyre shops... when the counter SA advise me to do the alignment and balancing, I just say No, thank you, already did it at the tyre shop.

I always make booking the earliest time slot on Saturday. So far the SC technician check in the car fast.

regarding alignment and balancing, I only do it when change tyre... I think no point to do it if steering wheel is centered and the tyre is not "eat" to 1 side...

it's not like i want to do it.

they said it's in the basic service of things to do.

anyway, it's not my car.
buying a new car for "warranty" are for dumb people.

Better go service once you hit 1000km or 1 month, whichever comes first.

For normal oil change, I always visit the nearest SC as I can just leave the car there and walk back home / office.
I only go COSE if I need to fix something. COSE technicians seem to have better problem solving skills, but it takes longer time (might need to leave the car there overnight).

Hi all, in a bit of a pickle. My grandmother had an accident in the house while at the wheel of the Persona that we have. Car is in pretty bad shape. Went head first into a beam of our porch.

It's my first time claiming insurance. Called the insurer and they said they'll cover it as the coverage is comprehensive. Any advice where I should send it? I'd prefer it was a Proton SC/Body & paint centre. Just to be sure they know what they're doing.

Please send help :/ appreciate any thoughts and opinions. I called Senaxis and they said their shop doesn't have everything under one roof, so they can't help. Would it be advisable to send it to the Section 13 branch?

EDIT:

The car was manufactured in 2011, am assuming the warranty kaput already. Should I just send it to a non-Proton affiliated workshop? Have a feeling they'll do a dodgy job. Insurance is under Allianz btw.

Why don't you send in to any one of your insurance company's panel workshops? I think they are more capable than those potong sc!

Do take note of the betterment on insurance coverage below. Pls check with your insurance company to see if the betterment below still in use.

Betterment is a portion of cost you have to bear when your damaged parts are replaced with brand new, original part. In this case, you car appears to be in a better condition prior to accident. In fact, it is against the insurance principle of indemnity. Insurance is intended to indemnify your loss, and no profit should be obtainable. But, in the case of repair where old parts (damaged) are replaced with new parts, the car owner actually benefits.

Thus, as a car owner, your insurance company may require you to bear the difference in costs. Application of betterment is at the discretion of the insurance company, but should they apply for betterment, it will be according to the standard scale of betterment adopted by the industry.

For Car below 5 year – 0%
5 years – 15%
6 years – 20%
7 years – 25%
8 years – 30%
9 years – 35%
10 years and above – 40%

For vehicle age below 5 years, Insurance companies may allow you to send your damage car to franchise workshop (Car Authorised Service Centre), where your damaged part will usually be replaced by brand new original parts, but for vehicle age above 5 years, you are required to send your car to respective insurance panel workshop.

Insisting to get your damaged part replaced with brand new original parts may trigger your insurance to apply for Betterment in your claim. There could also be possible in a situation where there are no re-condition parts available, and the only option is to replaced with brand new parts, in such cases, betterment may still be applied.

Hi Merinyu.

Yup, the insurance company made it clear of the betterment charges to me. Will have to fork out 20% which is a small price to pay to ensure the car is reliable. Looked up several other workshops that are listed as panels and they have horrible reviews. Would rather to pay a little more to ensure the job is done up to par. Rather than having the car give more problems down the line.

Hi guys, anyone who service their proton at Senaxis sc can give some info on how their servicing work? Book a service with them using proton app on last week for this sat minor service but didint receives any call from them on the booking confirmation.
So on today i call them since they did not revert me on any confirmation and they told me to just walk in to service as long as arriving before 3pm.
Is this true? Because for my past 3 services at cose all requires booking and does not entertain walk in.

I walk in all the time. Depend on your luck if a lot of customers then had to wait quite long. Just put your service book in the slots on the service counter.

Will have a visit to new Proton service centre at Jalan Kapar (Opposite Naza) on coming Saturday.
This branch is moved from Pantai Bharu HQ and upgraded to 3S centre.

Never been there before so never knew that they just moved. Just got my car last week. Its a relief if it still open, it is weird that i cant find it in proton's website, but available if i search thru myproton app.

How your experience with them so far? Is is crowded during weekend? Need to make an appointment first?

I just did my 1000km service at Sin Siang Hin Jln Tun Razak and I have nothing but positive feedback for them

1) I realised on Wednesday that I have to do my service this weekend because if I wait for next weekend, I’ll exceed 1000 by 200km or so and I heard that sometimes that could void warranty under the pretext that I dont do my maintainance as per scheduled. Not sure how true but better safe than sorry. Senaxis and S13 was my main choice but they weren’t able to accommodate me and my last minute request. Furthermore, it’s a Saturday. I called up Sin Siang Hin Kg Baru on Friday as I read some okay review on google. Got redirected to HQ because said branch has closed down. They recommended me to go to Tun Razak and managed to secure a 9am appointment for me.

2) Arrived at 9am sharp and there were already 3-4 cars. Customer service was attentive and doesn’t hard sell anything. I requested to change to full synthetic EO and had to top up RM80 which I think is fairly reasonable compared to others that I’ve heard

3) Waiting area is reasonably comfortable. You get to see your car being serviced

4) The workers worked really fast and handled my car really gently. They put paper on top of my mat and also covered the seat with plastic as protection. My car was done in 40mins. Supposed to get a free car wash but as I was waiting for my car’s turn for said car wash, it suddenly rained like crazy, they gave me a coupon instead.

5) Customer service girl went out and sent me to my car using an umbrella. She didn’t have to because my car was pretty nearby but I appreciate it nonetheless.

I definitely wouldnt mind returning to this SC. It’s only a 10min drive from my place anyway so I hope this service keeps up!

just did my service at Proton Edar Mutiara Damansara last weekend,

They sms me ahead of time to remind about the service and assign an SA to me
Not sure why as i was assigned to another guy on the day itself.

30k service, total damage almost RM500 (because they included aircond service inside, RM160+)

Comments: overall service is ok, improved compared to a few years ago but still abit slow. My car was sitting in the carpark when i came back and nobody called me for more than 20 mins.

Anyone here try LHM Nilai before? I saw Google review not bad and there is one traveling from Cyberjaya to there for service.

so my experience with Proton centres for my 2018 Persona, from what I can recall.

For my first 1000km service, made an appointment for a Saturday 10:30am and went to WargaCorp Authorized SC at Selayang.
Got there about 10am and got registered. But my car didn't get worked on until about 12.30pm. I couldn't wait around and called for a ride and went home for lunch. I can't remember if they called me inform my car is done, but all I remember is leaving with my car about 3pm. They said their weekend appointments are quite high. Okay so I figured I'll never go to a service centre on a weekend then.

So for my 10,000km / 6 months service, I decided to try at Proton Edar Bukit Maluri in Kepong.
Booked for a Friday 10:00am and was there about 9:30am. I also can't recall much but my car went in to their work area, probably about 11am. By 12 noon still not done, so again called a ride went for lunch and came back. Maybe it was a Friday. Maybe it was additional time spent to check and fix my reported faulty smart headlights. When it was all done left with my car about 4pm. Sigh.

Recently gave Proton Edar Bukit Maluri another go for my 20,000km / 12 months service.
Booked for a Wednesday 10:00am and was there about 9:30am again. Registration done by 10am, saw my car go in about 10:30am. But by 12:30pm still not done. Went for lunch and came back about 2pm. Service advisor my car service was done, just checking and resolving my reported shaking noisy from dashboard. After that was done they gave it a car wash. Finally all complete about 3pm.

While they have been able to service and resolve my issues, and I have no complaints there, but seems like long waiting time is really an issue with any Proton service centre ? Now I just assume my car is going to be in for almost a whole day for any periodic servicing at these Proton SCs.

I just realised Sin Siang Hin at Jalan Semarak (beside Roti Valentine) has already closed. A pity, they were fast and efficient and just nearby my office.

Just wanna share my first hand experience servicing the car at Proton Prima Autocare Sdn Bhd (Kota Kemuning).

Experienced mechanics and good working attitude. Will pick up the call when making calls and call back to inform if involve any major repair.

Didn't simply change parts and only change the necessary ones based on assessment.

The only thing bothers me is the price of the oil sold is quite expensive (>30% difference if use online price as baseline) so IMO would be a better idea to bring your own oil instead.

Proton Cyberjaya 3S - helped me in speaker warranty claim for X70 due to blown out speaker. Whole process took less than 3 weeks.

Earlier on, went to Puchong 3S twice for the speaker warranty claim, the service advisor claimed the speaker was fine and had no issue. That particular SA was reluctant to file a warranty claim for me.

I searched this thread, and couldn't find anything on Pesona Mahir Sdn Bhd (Proton Authorized SC).

I went there once, after 1,000km service for my Iriz, and the foreman managed to fix the rattling on AC Control Switch. I'll go there again for my 10,000km soon.

Tq tq. I used to service near Ampang Cheras. I may try some other service centers. Thanks ya. I work in Cyberjaya.

Anyone here try LHM Nilai before? I saw Google review not bad and there is one traveling from Cyberjaya to there for service.

I highly recommend LHM Nilai to those who dun mind travel a bit to service car. Reasonably priced and never introduce u to add on unnecessary service.

I have been to another one near Ampang for the 1st three times and I won't go again (I dun wanna elaborate further). Luckily 4th time I switched to the one at Nilai and never looked back. If u come, u can see the difference. Trust me. My Saga kena jump start 2 times and the Nilai SC did free checking on it.

Sorry side track a bit. How's the X70 so far besides the speaker issue? Planning to get one but skeptical about how the vehicle is at the moment plus you mentioned the Puchong 3S centre wasn't helpful even with you have a genuine warranty claim.

Yes, just so unfortunate to met that particular SA in charge of the accessories dept. So far, I read good review in term of normal servicing at this SC from other X70 owners.

Other than the speaker problem, I don't encountered any other problem. Just that the X70 is a heavy SUV and expect high FC on daily city drive. There are many commendable SC around my area. If one SC is not up to par, I can always go to other SC. So, this is mot an issue for me.

Proton Gag Auto Cyberjaya is a 3S center. They should be able to diagnose X70.

There is a new 3S at Bukit Puchong - Proton Lesydear 3S
