Hi anyone can help to answer? thank you

Other than gaming port, any different between Asus ax3000 and tuf ax3000? I assume if gaming using wireless (ps4 or ps5), then there is no advantage for tuf ax3000?

Other than this, is there any significant improvement from ax86u over ax3000 (500Mbps in 1100 sq ft)?

Thank you

Firmware and features are different as well.

TUF AX3000 comes with the gaming boost feature only available on ASUS gaming router lineup.

Regarding your PS4 question, the TUF AX3000 gaming mode feature may be useful to stabilize latency if you have a congested Internet connection.

I picked asus rt-ax3000, can get it with less than rm600, tuf ax3000 the cheapest I found still rm7xx...basically the spec between them are identical, the benefit for tuf is only focus on gaming (with game port & additional kind of QOS with help/stabilize for online gaming)...

Also bought the tplink tx3000e pcie card tongue.gif

I vote for tuf-gaming ax3000 due to multiple vpn feature. It is a useful feature. That's why.

For rt-ax86u it’s a gaming router for mobile gaming, does it improve ps4 gaming? I am looking for an Asus wireless Ax router to improve ps4 gaming, 4 lan ports will be sufficient for me. What are the recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Hi Asus, I have a RT-AC88U and I tried to connect Maxis Technicolor TG784n v3 VOIP via port 3 but it seems not working.

I tried both "Maxis Fiber" and "Manual Setting" profile settings (Internet VID 621, and VOIP VID 822).

I also have upgraded the firmware to the latest Version 3.0.0.4.385.20630
dated June 29.

Any idea why? Thanks

Hi kiawin,

May I know is your modem is TM modem? If no, try selecting Maxis Fiber Special.

Reboot the ASUS router, Maxis router and the modem once done to let the phone detect the setting again.

Thank you

Hi all, need some opinion on getting new a wireless router to have better connectivity.

Current setup : Single user on 100Mb line hooking up to Asus RT-AC1200G+ wireless router situated in living room and laptop in bedroom (about 5 meters away with a wall in between)

Problem : Although I can surf the net and stream YouTube without issues, it is when during conference call, the other side would say my line is not clear/ breaking up and I had to move my laptop to living room which is closer to the wireless router.

Plan : Replacing the existing Asus RT-AC1200G+ with RT-AX3000 but not sure this would help since my laptop is old unit.

Any thoughts whether this (changing wireless router) will improve my connectivity?

Hi All,

There is a new firmware for the RT-AX3000. Version 3.0.0.4.384.9505

https://www.asus.com/Networking/RT-AX3000/HelpDesk_BIOS/

Do let me know if you encounter any problem with HyppTV after the update.

Thank you

Hi,

I am seeing that AX86U has a 2.5Gb port that can also run as WAN. So, if I purchase it, will be able to support multiple WAN with different VLAN settings?

I'm using AX56U and i'm encountered internet become red once a while. This issue happened twice in this morning. First i was wondered why the page was not moving. Then i checked my router and found out the intenet light became red but all 3 lights were blinking on ONU. After that, i chatted with unifi cs after the internet connection is back. Internet light became red again when i was describing the issue to unifi cs. End up she suggested to create a report but she highlighted will charge RM53 if problems not from TM.

Anyone got idea on this kind of problem?

I do have this kind of issue with my ax3000. But there's nothing wrong on my ONT suggesting any issues with the lines. I would suspect that the router itself is having issues. Especially if I enabled Dual WAN settings.
