I currently have an AX-3000 (main) paired to a AC-68U (mesh node).

Am thinking of getting an AX-56U to serve as a mesh node on the ground floor.

Is there a reason why the AX-56U is a quad-core router vs. the AX-3000 tri-core??? Is it superior to the AX-3000?
*
Based on my test, AX3000 is better than AX56U on AiMesh.

Change of plan .....

I think I will just get the AX-6100 pair, and use as main router + wireless backhaul node for the ground floor

Use the existing AX-3000 as a wired backhaul node for the top floor (i.e. house is 3 levels)

AC-68U can put as wired node for one of the bedrooms

My plan is to kill the retarded neighbour's multiple TP-Link repeater signals, which he uses on 2.4G and 40 MHz channel width ....

Real retard!!

Im using GT-AX11000 firmware Version 3.0.0.4.384.9566 as main router at second floor and one GT-AC2900 Version 3.0.0.4.384.81974 as aimesh node at ground floor and one more RP-AC55 Version 3.0.0.4.384.80710 aimesh node at the kitchen, connection between gt-ax11000 and gt-ac2900 seems stable but the RP-AC55 keep dropping connection and it wont connect back until i power it off and on again, is it a firmware problem?
*
i also having this problem.

however, i read somewhere that the rp-ac55 its 5ghz cant accept 149Mhz channel i think. so if you can set your router 5ghz to only either channel 36mhz or 44mhz . then the rp-ac55 will stay connected all the time.

if you set your router 5ghz to auto mode. the router can change channels automatically. once it changes to 149mhz channel for 5ghz. the rp-ac55 connection to router will drop out and wont connect back to router. so every now and then need to reboot the rp-ac55.

i did change my router to channel 44mhz. my rp-ac55 has remain connected to my ac88u router for more than a week now.

hope this helps

I just signed up for TIME internet. I have an ASUS RT-AC3200 that I would rather use than their TP-Link giveaway.

I found the PPPoE username (example@timebb) and password, and entered them into the WAN settings page.

Still not working...

Anyone know of other PPPoE configuration settings necessary to make my router work?

Use my guide for RP-AC55 AiMesh

1) Reset RP-AC55
2) Force 5Ghz to channel 36
3) Add RP-AC55 to AiMesh
4) Disable roaming assistant for 5Ghz

The only workaround to solve RP-AC55 AiMesh stability issue.

Would like to ask you about warranty registration in asus website, you just register the product? Did you activate the service package? I bought the same product but only done the registration...in the website itself it didn’t mention the warranty period....to activate the service package it need to key in contract code and password, which I don’t have....

Thank you 🙏

During the easy setup phase, did the router ask for any "special requirements for ISP" ??

If Time has any special settings, this is the part you select it

Hi cjpomer,

You no need to select any special requirement from ISP if you are using TIME. Try refer to the video below. The interface might be different but the step is almost the same.

Hi kskoay,

All you need to do is fill in the form at the Product Registration section. The warranty period will follow your invoice/receipt purchase date.

Do keep your invoice/receipt for future warranty purposed.

Thank you

Hi guys, just got an Asus RT-AC86U. Under TIME 500 Mbps fibre.

If I want to enable IPV6, do I just select the option of 'Native'?

What about the other options?

Hey guys I’ve got a question

Using AX88U, stability issues aside my WiFi used to be very fast all the time

Since the last update I’ve noticed most of my devices that used to have link speeds of 1300mbps are not limited to 288mbps or less

What could be the issue here ?

Hi all, need some opinion on getting new a wireless router to have better connectivity.

Current setup : Single user on 100Mb line hooking up to Asus RT-AC1200G+ wireless router situated in living room and laptop in bedroom (about 5 meters away with a wall in between)

Problem : Although I can surf the net and stream YouTube without issues, it is when during conference call, the other side would say my line is not clear/ breaking up and I had to move my laptop to living room which is closer to the wireless router.

Plan : Replacing the existing Asus RT-AC1200G+ with RT-AX3000 but not sure this would help since my laptop is old unit.

Any thoughts whether this (changing wireless router) will improve my connectivity?

There's no need to do limit if you really have 800mbps. Usually your friend won't keep download and upload for 24/7 unless they have 1,000PB harddisk and downloading like never ending. Usually a normal use user won't consume a lot of bandwidth, mostly just around 100~300mbps for doing some Youtube and online video streaming. Even gaming also not consuming bandwidth. Gaming is more depending on latency not bandwidth. Limiting a speed in your router will cause drop down your router performance. This will make your router performance getting even worse. So, just reset your router and don't touch anything in the QoS setting.

Be fair and everyone enjoy full speed download, there have really not neccessary to limit the speed with 800mbps. Mobile phones won't consume a lot of bandwidth, just leave it full speed. If you load a video for 5 secs with 800mbps by comparing 1 minutes for 100mbps after you limit your friend's bandwidth. Why don't just leave it 800mbps? 5 secs only won't cost you a lot. Besides that, not everyone will always getting 800mbps full speed on wifi. There is really wasting of time and wasting of performance to limit your router speed. As long as you need to get a good performance router, your router need a good CPU, more RAM but not to limit your friends wifi speed. Sometimes the reason why cause you no internet and need to keep restart that router, which is because your main router is not powerful enough. It's not about your friend keep downloading and using the internet.

My home has Unifi 500mbps too but I never limit my router speed. My parents all using the wifi on their phones and my mum also watching online video streaming and IPTV. I also download my games in epic games store for 40~50MB/s without any problem. They still able to stream their Youtube, facebook video, online streaming fluently. After half hour, I already done download my 50GB game. My home bandwidth get back to 500mbps full speed again. Fast and not necessarily to do QoS.

You should think positive way, bro. 800mbps is more about the problem of your PC running out of harddisk space fast, not about the problem of bandwidth issue. 800mbps is not a big issue as long as you get a powerful main router.
*
Correct, it'a all down to the router, I had the problem with AC1300UHP, after upgrade to AC86U, all issue gone... AX3000 is a powerful router, and can ensure everyone will get enjoyable speed.

Yes, it's TM modem/BTU. I've rebooted them in sequence. The dial tone is different than usual, and cannot call in/out.

Hi guys,

I just moved into new house, before this I was using AC88U for my apartment and it worked great. Moving to new location, I have purchased Lyra Trio with the intention to help improve the coverage and signal quality. However, I struggle to make this setup works.

My plan is to have single SSID, and using AC88U as the main node. I have laid Cat6 cable from various location to my AC88U location. Tried connecting them all (from LAN AC88U to all mesh’s LAN/WAN port) and still could t find’s them there. I looked up to several articles and made some amendment. It worked! BUT, the lyra seems to be on different SSID and also only the main Lyra can be connected to AC88U, and other nodes were relying on the 5GHz line. This is obviously not what I wanted earlier.. is it possible? Which port should I use to connect to the main router - LAN or WAN/LAN port at Lyra?

Help me ...
