KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- Setia Haruman Sdn Bhd and Shanghai Overseas Affairs Service Centre Co Ltd (SOASC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the development of an Integrated Entrepreneur Park in Cyberjaya with an estimated investment of RM6 billion.
The investment for the project, which is known as IndaCity Entrepreneur Park, will be implemented via either an outright purchase of land by SOASC or through a joint venture with Setia Haruman.
Setia Haruman Chairman Tan Sri Mustapha Kamal Abu Bakar said the MoU could open doors to economic and cultural collaborations between the two cities via the setting up of the Integrated IndaCity Entrepreneur Park that would attract high impact companies from China to Cyberjaya.
"I am confident that this project will foster a closer relationship between the two cities," he said in a statement Tuesday.
Present to sign the MoU of SOASC was its Chairman, Wang Jie Min, while Setia Haruman was represented by its Executive Director Lao Chok Keang.
The ceremony was witnessed by Mustapha Kamal and SOASC advisor Tan Sri Micheal Chen Wing Sum.
"With the recent launching of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone in Shanghai, I expect more Shanghai enterprises to invest in Cyberjaya," said Wang.
