how about your total credit exposure? meaning total credit limits from all your active cards, housing loan, hire purchase. If it's very high, some banks don't like it. And also some banks don't like to approve new customers with high outstanding balance in other cards.

As for the letter, just google letter of appeal and modify accordingly, just a simple one or two lines letter will do smile.gif

I just only have 1 CC with me. Always full payment before due date. No house loan and hire purchase yet.

QUOTE(norman05051984 @ Feb 24 2011, 5:14 AM)
I have a problem to pay my credit card for the last 6 month bcos i'm saving for my wedding (this year), give some to my parents tabung haji (also this year) and for the last 6 month I've got a job which is the salary only half of my previous salary.

I'm still paying to the bank but apparently it less than the minimum fee bcos if i pay more than that i have to mkn pasirla.

Is there any chance for me to write a letter to bank mentioning my financial status and perhaps continues to pay the said amount until i find a better job with better salary?
*
QUOTE(hye @ Feb 24 2011, 8:03 PM)
Your chances are very low. I'd advise to stop using your credit card immediately. You may think you are smart but you do not realize the long term impact to your credit history from your actions. You may proceed further with whatever you think fit but be mindful of the consequences to yourself.

I have repeatedly mentioned that banks are not charity and the bank will (almost certainly) refer your request to AKPK should you request to structure your repayment. (AKPK are established for this purpose) Set realistic spending/savings expectations for yourself to recover from this debt position.
*
Please heed hye's advice. AKPK is your best option. If you are still 'saving' money for your wedding now...it is very unwise - I am being as polite as possible. Start tracking your expenses and create a monthly budget based on your income. Be realistic and do note that post-wedding expenses will be even greater. Cut your credit card today - nobody here is joking. There is still hope if you make the right choice now.

I also don't have house loan nor HP. Only got a PTPTN, I think it's not stated in CCRIS.
IMHO, an existing cc with sufficiently high limit is even more useful than submitting 3 months payslip regardless of whether meeting income requirement. This is based on my personal experience. It may not apply to everyone.

My exp, I received my 1st ever platinium (Citibank Cash back) 3 months ago. I applied with my 3 year-old Direct Access GOLD with CL 12k.

Although my salary shall be entitle for CL 7k. I agree that apply with existing card. after 1 year, I can start applying for Platinum with my existing platinum~~

Simple & easy. I am writing to DA to upgrade from Gold to Platinum. I just received a call. Most probably will be approved. If I apply with current pay slip, I only can get Gold nia~~

Strictly saying, it's not BUY1FREE1 but 'Complimentary ticket for any purchase of normal class ticket(s)'.
No matter how many ticket you buy, you still get 1 free ticket only. Good news is, you can buy everyday wink.gif
