The 3D security thingy is known as either Verified by VISA or MasterCard SecureCode and Citibank Malaysia is offering neither.

Thanks for the info, but can't understand why Citibank as an international bank doesn't offer this.

Any other options on how can I make the payment? I have only the Citibank card + Amex but the merchant doesn't accept Amex. sad.gif

Can I ask which website requires this 'Verified by VISA'? I have bought stuff online and some sites require this SecureCode when I use my StanChart Mastercard but I have never come across a site asking for 'Verified by VISA' when I use my Citibank Visa card.

So far i've only experienced Verified by Visa for HLB card & HSBC. The rest - can just go through just like that.

For me it has prompted me for HSBC & Maybank to date. Citibank somehow doesn't have this I think.

If the website insists on only accept credit card from banks providing the 3D security feature, then i guess you have no other choice but to use another credit card, book your room through phone or change hotel.

I would advise you to quickly call 1300885000 to inquire what's going on.
My sister also missed one private call last week. She has been complaining on the PENDING status, until today she called back to Call Centre and was told that the previous call was to verify some details in the application form. After the conversation and verification, the Officer told that application status will be known in 2 days' time.
