I see that some Jusco branches are offering 5% while some not. How do we know which store is department Store which is not? I checked their website. Din't find any info this issue. Is it based on size? Same for tesco.

Added on March 14, 2011, 11:45 pmI would suggest to use Maybankard2 AMEX on weekends at Jusco... Using OCBC at Jusco is risky... unless you call OCBC CS to verify the exact Jusco Supermarket location is using what MCC

I think paying via TMPoint should entitle to 5% Cash Back.
Paying via TMOnline portal is definitely a 5% Cash Back

Was at a OCBC branch and took the opportunity to confirm that one can pledge FD to get OCBC TMC. She said previously can, now no more.

Standard Chartered probably is losing money with the Titanium MasterCard, which is why it was closed to fresh application just a few months later.

others cap it at RM50/month whereas SCB capped it at RM600 per year. So if you just swipe a big amount on a single Friday i.e. RM12,000, you will have reached the cap and after that the card put in drawer.

SCB Titanium's 5% rebate capping is "subject to RM600 per year", not "maximum RM50 per month".
You know the difference? Can you imagine, if most (if not all) SCB Titanium cardmembers spent RM12,000 within one month or so, SCB will need to fork out RM600 cashback to pay all of them.

Up till today, only Jusco Supermarket (1U) is confirmed can get 5% cashback from OCBC Ti. This is however not an exhaustive list. Feedback from OCBC Ti cardmembers will be much appreciated.

There is a indirect way to make sure you can get 5% rebate from purchases at Jusco Supermarket and that is using the gift vouchers bought on weekend using MBB2Amex. Moreover the vouchers have no due date. Jusco Bukit Indah JB only gives 1% rebate using OCBC Ti.

For overseas spending under 5% rebate category, I think we still "earn" after offsetting conversion rate and admin charges right?

OCBC just rejected my application. I asked them for the reasoning but they could not provide me.

I have 1 CC with perfect payment record and a h/p with perfect payment record too. Both are more than a year. Am earning more than 36k a year.

Now I cannot use during weekdays for 5% cash back. Any idea when I can reapply again?

Any reason on why it could be rejected?

My first OCBC Titanium MasterCard application was rejected too and my CCRIS is perfect. Just applied it again two weeks ago and it was approve this time around. I did request not to give me a credit limit of more than RMxxxx in my recent application.

If the payment is to be made to TM or TMNET, I think there's no problem to get 5% cashback for using OCBC Ti.

UNIFI = TM bill... so you can get 5% rebate from OCBC (but also depends on your payment method)

6 months time anything can happen. They could pull back the 5% rebate then there is no point applying it already. I want it now because I want to save more and it is good to pair with M2 Amax.

TBH, I wont bother OCBC at all if their cards are on par with other cards.

Hi Sean,

I just realise that maybank2u does not allow to make payment to other credit cards, only Amex or other maybank cards. Are you sure can use maybank2u to pay OCBC credit cards directly? I do not have a OCBC current or savings account.

Thanks

Thanks. On second thought, I am still wondering whether to get OCBC Tita card. Most of my spending is on weekends. For weekdays, I never do grocery shopping. I do pump petrol during weekdays but my petrol bill is low and also, if I use Maybankard 2 Amex, I will get equivalent of 2.5% in points. Sometimes, I do have fancy meals at hotels or restaurants in the weekdays. Do I get 5% cash back for all of them like Maybankard 2? Did I miss out anything?

Thanks

Every month, my OCBC Titanium 5% discount cap is fully utilised.

Maybankard 2 Amex, not many places accept it other than use it to pump petrol at weekend.

So, the rest of utilities bill, I paid them using SBC Business Platinium 0.5% nia + Points.

Which cc has better choice to use after OCBC?

pls check ur statement if u have made the 0% balance transfer to your OCBC Titanium.

I did mine last month. transfer 5k, retail spending 1k, make payment 1.2k before due. today statement got interest charge ~rm10. call the call center to check & they told me the system calculate my 5k transferred as normal spending & charge accordingly, which is not rite. so, they will cancel the interest charge.

will update once the interest being revoke.

This is the problem when credit card and BT share the same account in view of the payment hierarchy. The best is BT with CIMB/DA, where a separate BT account will be purposely opened so that payment for BT and credit card will not be messed up.

why you never read my articles in my blog. I keep repeating that OCBC cash back capped at RM50 month.

If you spend so much in a month, read my article on Maybankard 2 cards below where I did a comparison vs OCBC Titanium Master Card.

1. There are cases such as Carrefour Tropicana City Mall gets 1% rebate eventhough it's should be under Grocery.

2. The MCC code is programmed into the EDC terminal by merchant bank. The cashier wont know the MCC.

Question: For payment using OCBC online banking system, do you need to hold a SACA or just the CC is sufficient? thanks
Just the credit card will do.

OCBC Credit card holders can access to OCBC ONLINE, but can only pay to selected payees.
For instance, if you try to pay TM bill using credit card account, you will be declined and cannot proceed.

pls check ur statement if u have made the 0% balance transfer to your OCBC Titanium.

*
i also did BT & i didnt know the above, until i check my statement.

february, retail 377, paid 450, march statement comes, retail interest kena 2.84

march, retail 596, paid 650, april statement, rebate on interest paid -1.42, monthly interest 0.02 & 7.27. (wonder why got 2 lines of interest & rebate on interest??)

ocbc 0% for 6 months promo. its not really 0%, as long as u pay ur retail spending in full, technically it should be 0% for 6 months. then the BT pay a bit.

but we guys here, even when we pay retail in full, still got charged. so there must be 'other' t&c not disclosed or misleading or simply their mistake. unsure.gif

Certainly cannot.
If the fee is a lot, might consider getting an OCBC Great Eastern card which gives rebate on EDUCATION/HOSPITAL/GREAT EASTERN bills.

Tough luck. The next best option is to use M2 Amex for 2.5% from 5x treatpoints then. Great Eastern rebate for edu is 1.5%. Thanks

If the Uni/college accepts Amex, then go ahead.
OCBC GE card is good for edu/hospital/GE combination biggrin.gif Edu alone might not sound attractive.

If you received RM50 cash back by spending a cumulative amount of RM1115, the effective cash rebate rate is 4.48%. It is still much better than other cards.

you are absolutely right.

It is kind of impossible to spent exactly RM1000 every statement month. Well, actually it is kind of easy to keep track if I were to write in down but to me that is like the card dictating my life. Now waiting for the next issuer to come out with 5% cash back every day with cap RM50 also okay but we get points too like MBB 2 AMEX. If got this card, sure everyone will want it.

I always keep a close eye on my CC usage to ensure I'm within safe limit of the RM50 rebate cap. Spend over doesn't get nothing but diluted rebate percentage ;-)

Don't have to register for it manually actually. OCBC will send you a 6-digit code every time you make a purchase online on a website that requires VbV or MasterCard SecureCode.

just called OCBC regarding my application status. Told me it has been rejected but no reason given except it is a 'management decision'. ask for management number but she doesnt have it. so i am stuck without an answer as to why my application has been rejected.

ridiculous.....
No. It is not ridiculous and this is not unique to OCBC Bank. My application for the OCBC Titanium MasterCard was rejected too last year and i never found out what the reason was and i never bothered to as i know my CCRIS is perfect.

haih, my application is unsuccessful, my colleague same salary as me but applied one month earlier got approved...
hmm i have clean bill here, not sure y exactly the reason is, din bother to ask the CS since even card application status is automated...

judging by the recent posts, it seems like alot of applications got rejected. looks like ocbc is limiting the number of successful applicants.

It is quite a norm I guess? I am qualified and I have perfect CCRIS with ongoing h/p also. I think they had met their quota so they are rejecting most new applicants I guess. I will try and apply again sometime again if they are still continuing with the 5% discount.

I am actually waiting for a new CC issuer to compete with M2C and OCBC Ti for discounts.

Don't think it will. Was rejected by two banks last year and neither records were shown in my CCRIS. Applied credit cards from three other banks after than (Citibank, Maybank and OCBC), all was approved in 2 working days. No kidding !!! tongue.gif

I see, thanks.

Next, I tried paying via OUB PayOnline and since the card isnt secured with MasterCard SecureCode (using 3D secure instead), it didnt ask for the OTP, and OTP was not sms-ed to me either. No record found on payment history/payment cancellation, nor i received any email yet. hmm..

Once you confirm the payment and all, do you receive any notification, instantly or several day? The system only ask for the CC number and the CVC code nd didnt prompt for my OTP. Since I have registered for the 3D secure for online transaction, and did not key in any OTP, does it mean that my payment failed? Thanks

i'm not really sure.
I always get OTP for every bill payment request. Payment will fail if key in the wrong OTP.

SMS. This morning i received an email from PayOnline, payment status is APPROVED. So I check using:

OCBC online : The billed amount is already deducted from the available CL.
OUB PayOnline: Still no record on payment history (have emailed to inquire)
TMonline: Bill still not paid (will give several days to the system update)

My concern is on the OTP which was not sent to me and the system didnt prompt for it, so need to think twice for future online transactions. I am certain that I have registered because I received OTP sms everytime i login to OCBC. Will call CS about this..

Yeah, already disabled.
How can the payment go through. For Verified by Visa and Mastercard Securecode, the transaction will never pass through if we didnt enter the correct code.

will we get 5% rebate
1) paying bills in petrol station likes celcom
2) pump petrol at any petrol station

from the above comments, seems that we have to go hypermarket instead of supermarket inside a shopping mall to get 5% rebate on grocery

watches dont fall under the dining/groceries/petrol/utilities catogery that gives you 5% for this card. so most likely only 1%.
doesnt matter weekend or weekdays.

3. let's say if i am going to charge 10k medical fees for 12 months installment, will i get 1% rebate one shot at the first month (in this case is rm50 since the max) or 10k/12*1% at every month?
4. where can i have the list of OCBC discount merchat shop?

i personally think that should get this OCBC Titanium + the new MBB 2 Amex cards to cover the pros and cons of each card.

It will prompt for the usual OTP (SMS/from hardware dongle) just like you logged on to OCBC Internet Banking. No separate 3DSecure code.

Additional note, the PIN will be mailed to you separately. Use the PIN to register for OCBC online, and from there you can register the 3D secure. If you choose the sms option, you will be asked to enter you handphone number where the OTP will be sms-ed to everytime.

When you first register for OCBC online, they will require you to select from 3 options, SMS, mobile and token (not sure what is the difference between SMS and mobile). There is a step-by-step guideline in the leaflet that comes with the card.

You wait for the PIN number which is send to your OCBC billing address.
OTP is generated on-the-fly, and use once for one transaction only.

Yeah. The majority of us are after the 5% cash back only and will switch to other credit cards once we hit the quota for the month.

I just called CS to reduce my CL to RMX8, however according to her, the Statement will still reflect my current CL even though it has been reduced. This is because should I want back my original CL, it will be reinstated.

roadshow cc agents are not easy to follow up. If they don't do their job properly, we can't do anything.
Nowadays ppl are too pampered by freebies. Applying cards also want gifts, OMG.
I wonder what would she want if she is to buy new car. Free GPS, free bodykits, free tint, free sport rims, free insurance, free umbrellas, free Rain-X?

They are 2 types of CL reduction, namely permanent or temporary reduction. I opted for permanent reduction, as I do not like to see a high limit shown in the BNM credit report, for a card that I do not get any benefits at all after my spending has hit the maximum RM50 cash back per month. The CL of my OCBC Titanium is only RM6,000 now.

Apart from security reason, another 2 main reasons are: 1) to reduce credit exposure and 2) the card does not give any further cash back or points if your spending has hit the maximum cash back of RM50 per month. For the worst case scenario, if you only swipe the card at merchants entitled to 1% cash back, the maximum spending per month entitled to cash back is RM5,000. What's the point of having a high CL for this card?

You will have a high credit exposure via "potential debt", thus effecting your chances to get a bank loan.

Thanks for sharing. I think CC that gives unlimited rewards points (Amex,HSBC etc) or 1% uncapped cash back(HLB essential) should maintain highest possible CL for big ticket item like 10% down payment for the new property launching, tuition fee, long distance air ticket for family, tour package for family, insurance premium, new car down payment etc etc.

OCBC Titanium if you spend RM10,000 a year with it, they will absorb the RM50 government tax. How about the upfront Rm50 GST once the card is approved? Any ways to waive that ?

for big item purchase, you may still use M2Amex which gives 5X TP (equivalent to approx 2.5% cashback).

If that merchant doesn't accept Amex, then only use Visa/MC lor... I have SCB Business Plat for this purpose.

Yes, I applied the Titanium card at about the same time as my MBB 2 cards application. Now, I already got a letter from OCBC saying that my card is on the way but MBB still processing my application. What a big different in term of efficiency... This is what I always like to say, "Malaysia Boleh!"

1. In the paper statement, can you see the breakdown of the rebate? in the statement at OCBC online, can only view the total rebate and having problem tracking down which transaction didnt get 5%.

2. Can anyone confirm that other transactions which do not get the 5% rebate, will get 1% instead?

1. Both online and paper statements can see the total for both 1% and 5% cash rebate respectively

2. I guess so. However, the calculation just doesnt telly. Eg, my 5% calculation is correct but yet, the 1% calculation is bit out.

1. No what you see in the paper statement is pretty much identical to the online statement.

2. Yes, as long as you haven't exceed the RM50 / statement cycle limit, except for some things listed in their T&C, eg cash advance, installments.

yes totally agreed with you.. ocbc customer service is a lot better than maybank. i asked them to expedite my application via call and i was really surprised when the person really helped me and get it approved by the next day and called me back to inform me... unlike maybank, no matter millions time u asked them to deliver ur card to ur office (non-billing address) and even mention and put a star in the application form itself but they can still did the mistake by saying the card has to be delivered to the billing address. this means that maybank not really care about what customer complaint or suggest...

tell u guys who ever applied MBB cc and would like to get it fast, there is only 1 way which i just used. Walk in to Menara Maybank (HQ), tell the maybankard officer that u want the card by <date> which u need to swipe a big transaction on the date and most important thing is tell them u will collect it at the HQ branch itself, if not they will deliver to ur billing address... it works for me which took 3 days to get my card after complained.. then immediately i walked out to the starbucks coffee and enjoyed the buy 1 free 1 deal haha...

the answer is YES and u entitled for 1% rebate.. anything not fall under the 4 main categories (petrol, dining, grocery, utilities) definitely goes to 1% which means u get minimum 1% rebate at least for each transaction

Looks like diff OCBC CCs have their own promo.
Which type of transaction will have the fastest posting? OCBC online payment?
First come first serve based on posting time of transaction, according to the CS.
So those who were selected, good luck when the clock strikes twelve tonight.

I would just advise you NOT subscribe autopay via OCBC PAYMASTER.
You are advised to sign up autopay with the merchant respectively.

Spending RM1,000 at those 5% places will hit RM50 cashback quota in one shot.
I wonder how many people can do multiple swipes with OCBC Ti.

why need multiple swipes?

Btw, the cash bonus is additional to our monthly 50cash back or inclusive? rclxub.gif

I am thinking about applying for this card but the only problem is the lack of OCBC Bank branches around. I'm definitely am not gonna open another savings/current account since I already have 4 different ones. So can I get some feedback from you guys?

Is it troublesome to look for an OCBC Bank around or are they growing alot and it isn't that difficult anymore?

I think currently they have 3-4 branches, from only 1-2.
I settle the bill online. Only pays RM1 for the transfer. Having deducted that, I still profit RM49 smile.gif.

If there is difficulty allocating a branch to make payment, my advice is open an OCBC basic saving account. You can transfer via GIRO within HOUSE network (HSBC, OCBC, UOB, SCBMB) & the charges is as low as 50 cents. It is much more cheaper compared driving a car to settle the bill. That's what I did smile.gif

I think you got HOUSE Network and MEPS IBG all mixed up. HOUSE Network refers to the shared ATM network for HSBC, OCBC, UOB and StanChart. For online funds transfers, everything will go through MEPS IBG.

Within HOUSE network, either you make interbank fund transfer between CASA or ATM withdrawal you are enjoying special low rate (i.e. RM0.50) compared to the transfer between local banks and HOUSE banks (i.e. RM1 or RM2). Anyway, you can call your bank to verify this matter, my online transfer between SCB and OCBC saving account charged RM0.50, I assume the same charges should apply to other HOUSE banks, correct me if I am wrong.

No. That is not true. Not for OCBC Bank and not for any other banks on the HOUSE Network either. You are being charged RM0.50 for each successful funds transfer to another bank because you are using the Basic Savings Account from OCBC Bank and this has absolutely nothing to do with HOUSE Network. HOUSE Network is only responsible for ATM cash withdrawals for its member banks and the charge is RM1 for each successful withdrawal (only StanChart Priority Banking customers don't have to pay this fee).

Actually, you should have just stated MEPS IBG. All funds transfers are to be processed through the MEPS network, be it to HSBC, Public Bank or Citibank. HOUSE Network or HOUSE member banks shouldn't be mentioned at all as none of these has anything to do with the online funds transfers which you said you are being charged only RM0.50/transfer.

And by the way, OCBC, HSBC, StanChart and UOB Bank are all MEPS member banks too. All of these banks have long been participating in the MEPS IBG service.

On the main page list i don't see TNB and Digi. I assumed TNB has 5% via OCBC online becos i saw you guys mentioned about it.

What about Digi? Anyone have experience with Digi?

Oh yea how do i register for auto payment with OCBC? I'm unable to download the form from their website. It has been removed.

Why not pay your CC directly via GIRO? If you have basic saving account with any bank, it's also only RM0.50 (for first 2 Inter-Bank Giro in a month).

It depends on what type of saving/current account you have. If you have the Basic Saving/Current Account, then the first 2 GIRO/month will be RM0.50 only. From third GIRO onwards, bank will charge per their normal rate, e.g. RM2 or RM1 (Alliance Bank).

Or you can open Citibank Basic account that allows you to have unlimited RM0.50 GIRO.

I did not receive OTP when using OUBpayonline but the transaction went through. Other users receive their OTP though. Below is the explanation i received from OUBpayonline.

QUOTE
We wish to inform that after a customer has keyed in the card number, this transaction will be routed to MasterCard Payment gateway. Thereafter, the 3D-Secure authentication process will be handled by the issuing bank (ie OCBC in this case). In the even the transaction did not reach the issuing bank’s authentication server (which could be due to some reasons for example connectivity problem), no authentication window will pop out

You're entitled for 5% rebates on petrol, groceries, dining and utilities anywhere worldwide.

Subject to the correct MCC code tagging by the merchant, of course.

You will just entitle for a maximum RM50/month if it under any of those 4 categories, else u should be entitled of RM20 cash rebates (1%)
*
As of 1 Jan 2011 onwards, there's no such thing as RM20 cash-back for 1%. It's now RM50 for both 5% and 1% category merchants..

If you followed the T & C, it should be 1%.

Eligible merchants and their associated merchant category codes (“MCC”) under the OCBC Titanium Cash Rebate Programme are as follow:

5% Cash rebate on Petrol, Groceries, Utility Bills and Dining
i) Petrol/Gas Stations (MCC codes 5541 and 5542)
ii) Grocery Stores (MCC codes 5411, 5422 and 5451)
iii)
Utility Bills (MCC codes 4814,s 4815, 4816,4821, 4899 and 4900)
iii)
Restaurant (MCC codes 5811, 5812, 5813 and 5814)

Because I wanted to try.
Everyone comes here to ask (do i enjoy 5% cashback if pay bills via PayOnline), but in fact no one can answer. I saw this question many times already. So I decided to try.

OK, now I knew paying utility bills via PayOnline is entitled to 5% cashback by Ocbc Ti, then got a lot of ppl come and ask me 'why not use ocbc online? Why take d risk losing 5% cashback'.

If i'm not mistaken, we can't make payment to TM via OCBC online portal. I pay my TM bills via tmonline.com.my and get 5% cash back. So far i've gotten really lucky and everything charged to my OCBC Titanium MasterCard gets 5% cash back biggrin.gif

to aeiou228: this is for convenience purpose as we can pay almost all the bills via PayOnline (in one-stop platform) if all these are guarantee 5% rebate... in addition, i dun think u can pay all bills at ocbc online example maxis

i think it doesn't matter which way you pay the bill. According to the t&c, it's determined by the merchant category code.

I've just paid TNB bill via OCBC online and will update if it's entitled for the 5% rebate.

Well, the fact is, I didn't ask you what's the rebate paying via Payonline and nobody in this forum say why u take d risk losing 5% cashback using PayOnline. You added it yourself. All I asked was "Why use UOB payment portal instead of OCBC online to pay ?" and it was asked out of curiosity why you used a 3rd party bank's payment portal instead of OCBC, without the question of rebates whatsoever. Perhaps your ego is too high and sensitive that a simple genuine question like that can easily disturb your emotion and perception.

As for the "to keep their mouth shut." So, this is your forum ? other people should shut their mouth and only you can talk ? How overbearing and arrogant. doh.gif

If you are so willingly to test the portal and share the findings voluntarily, then share it whole heartedly, don't write sarcastic remarks before sharing it.

I still wonder which words from my question stepped on your super sensitive toes hmm.gif

normal lah, many people come here to ask when they can easily find the answers to their questions themselves. Must be something to do with our Education system where the students over rely on guidance and not taught to take initiative.

So, we are lucky to have a person like you who takes the trouble and initiative to find the answers for them tongue.gif

Is not about the keep the mouth shut thingy, it all started off with my question addressed to Chem "Why use UOB payment portal instead of OCBC online to pay ?" The question was specifically addressed to him and can only be answered by him. I asked in a genuine curiosity tone but I can't put the tone in writing. Unfortunately Chem took it differently.

Sorry for off topic. I've made myself clear and I rest my case.

to the TS,

pls remove Alpha Pharmacy from 5% category as I recently found out that it no longer entitles me to 5% cashback. It's easy to notice, because I charged big amt at the said pharmacy and I thought I reached quota already. Until the statement came out, I knew things have changed.

Perhaps OCBC has classify it wrongly previously and now corrected it. Caring Pharmacy (Min RM30) and Guardian accepts AMEX, this could be an alternative.

I frequently Alpha Pharmacy because their price is very competitive.
Frankly say, even with Amex's 7.5% (5%+2.5%) cashback, Caring/watson/Guardian still can't beat Alpha.

The MCC code tagging is maintained by the merchant acquirer and this may not necessarily be OCBC Bank. Unless OCBC Bank is the acquirer, OCBC won't know which merchant is 5% or which isn't.

That being said, MCC is highly regulated by MasterCard Worldwide, and is usually tagged correctly hence OCBC can have the confidence to give 5% on all petrol/dining/bills/groceries. There are still instances where some are incorrectly maintained but this is the acquirer's fault and not always OCBC(issuer).

Hope more people can be better informed about this because I really pity the poor OCBC CS team having to deal with insufferably boorish customers who keep demanding for "the list of merchants entitled for 5% cash back" because there's no way they can have the full listing. It's too long!

If your annual income 36K and below, you can only hold 2 CC. Else you can apply how many you want.

However, OCBC is very infamous of their rejection of applications.

Hi all just wanted to ask. I wanted to get this card. But my annual income did not reach it's requirement. So is it possible for me to register and get approval?
*
I got rejected even though I qualified for its requirements. I did appeal through an agent before it was successful. I suggest you call their CS, then apply through their agent. If you just email or fax it over, most probably it will be rejected. You can try.

If your annual income 36K and below, you can only hold 2 CC. Else you can apply how many you want.

However, OCBC is very infamous of their rejection of applications.

It could be due to various reasons. It might be also that they think your commitment is too high since you have 3 other CC and also a personal loan to finance. If you pay your PL on time, you can use that as the ground to appeal to them.

Only get 1% for Aeon Bandaraya Melaka (supermarket).

Expected it to fall under grocery. 99% confirm because other transactions are clear cut petrol/dining/utilities.

No, in the t&c, OCBC does mention that this will happen if you use the card in the departmental store because the rebate is based on the MCC code.

The system will auto-trigger the “Magic Moments” and give away rebates ranging from 5% to 100% for the qualifying transactions on a daily basis throughout the Promotion Period.

Any Principal and Supplementary Cardmember who happens to swipe a transaction (i.e. qualifying transaction) during the “Magic Moments” will get to enjoy the rebate (e.g. The system triggers a 20% rebate at 11hour:30minutes:30seconds, any purchase made at that time will enjoy 20% rebate).

No worries... you would earn RM550 in rebates over the cost of 1 year.
Subsequently, you get RM50 annual usage bonus from OCBC to offset the GST (subject to annual spending of RM10,000)

Sharing some info:

1)OCBC CS informed me that changing your statement date will forfeit your Mastercard privilege, eg Not able to participate in Magic Moment and future promotions.

2)The default statement date for all OCBC Titanium Card is 12th of every month. So try to claim your RM50 rebate by then smile.gif

3)Once my spending amount is close to RM1k, I usually go to petrol station (Esso/Mobil) to round up to my RM1k quota because i can preset the amount, losing only a few cents blush.gif

Let me win the Magic Moment and I can tell you the above is not true.
I do still get SMS about the promotion.

A colleague's OCBC statement date of 21st of every month also get selected in the "Get RM500 with RM5000 spend"

I think it must be a technical error.
There was once I received incorrect cashback amount. After talking to CS, they admitted it was their mistake.

It happened to me too. Called up CS. I was informed the mistake is due to system problem doh.gif It will be reflected in the next statement.
It only affects credit cardholder with statement date on the 18th.

For Pharmaceutical (Guardian, Watsons & Caring Pharmacy), we can get 1% cash-back using OCBC Ti Card, right?
If this is true, then using UOB One Card for Pharmaceutical will be better, as UOB One Card get 2% cash-back for Pharmaceutical (effective July 2011).

MB Duo Amex is better. 5% cash-back + 5x points everywhere if you can time your purchase at pharmacies to weekend.

Definitely lost in the post... Usually you would get 2-5 days after Statement Date
