use ur existing 1 year high CL credit card with a good payment record to apply. OCBC known as kiasu bank, they rarely approve new applicants although they got a clean and good record

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 22 2011, 01:39 AM) Helped my mom to apply for the OCBC Titanium MasterCard last week. I found out that it was rejected just two days after i sent in the application form. So, i made an appeal on the next morning which is last Friday and my mom received a call from OCBC just about 2 hours later. They requested that my mom fax or email them another supporting document. In my mom's case, they asked for the bank statement from the bank which my mom's salary is credited into which i already email to them on Monday morning. My mom received an sms from OCBC last night that her credit card is on its way ur mum applied using existing credit card ? bank statement as supporting document is enough already ? |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 22 2011, 11:04 AM) Not really unusual. Anyway, this confirms that OCBC still accepts fresh application with just an existing card as reference. Too bad Maybank is not doing this anymore. all the banks will follow mbb and cimb soon, not accepting existing card as reference. this is what i heard from agent, not sure true or not.No. She doesn't have an existing principal credit card for close to 2 years already. She applied using her payslips only. It was first rejected. Then i made an appeal. I basically told them that she had 3 principal credit cards from 3 different banks about 2 years ago and there was not a single missed payment. I also told them that she never missed paying for her house mortgage and car loans and the car loans are due to be fully paid up next year. So i asked them to reconsider their decision which they did and now the card is already on its way |

for those got rejected by OCBC, try again to write an appeal letter to them with all the supporting documents. My friend just got approved even though the CL given is not much by sending them appeal letter with all the supporting documents. Took 1 week to process
