he closed it himself. no comments on anabols though, dont know enough to say anything. i DO know i would never juice. dont do drugs and never would.
a question guys. is it a good idea to have someone to give you a lift off from a starting position of an exercise? i find myself not being able to go heavier than what i currently can handle without some assistance. do you guys do it?
It's fine.

I wouldn't lump juicing under the same boat as the public perception of doing drugs, there is still a difference between the two. For me, there should be years of foundation building and a whole lot of knowledge acquired before choosing to cross that bridge. Anyhow, enough on that touchy subject.
From the way you structured your question, I don't suppose you mean spotter but someone to help you getting each rep off? I've never had anyone assist each rep from the get go but I have utilize negative reps where my spotter would help me on the lift and I would focus on the lowering portion.
Please enlighten me if there is, but I don't see a benefit to having a spotter assist the liftoff of each rep from the start if it isn't negatives. If it is on the final reps, then spotter assist is normal to squeeze everything out of the muscle. Well, the only benefit I see is more ego based which is lifting more weight than usual.
I was never anti steroids, just pro natural. You guys should see Bigger Faster Stronger specifically for bodybuilders and strength trainees. Enlightening. Just be responsible when starting anything. Years of solid lifting and building a strong foundation is needed first. Too many people are oft to label themselves as hardgainers when they're just undertraining and undereating. Steroids are only a small part of the equation when looking at an impressive physique. I've seen how juicers train at my gym at TF and they go balls to the wall. I join them for sessions often. We're doing 60-70kg barbell curls for reps, 55-65lbs for dumbbell flyes. That's insane training, not many of the average fitness buff want to push themselves to that extent and wonder why they aren't growing day in day out.

I think what he meant is probably the starting position which doesnt count as a rep. I thinks its okay to have a spotter to help your way in the starting position when it is quite heavy so that you can continue the following reps on your own.
Don't overanalyze brotha. It's fine for a lift off. When you're pressing 120kg Smith presses, it's definitely fine. If someone's helping every rep, every set then it's messed up. Never anything wrong with spotting, just that some people abuse it. =)
