This thread is opened for discussion on:

1. Football replica or player issue jerseys/shorts/socks
2. Football training jerseys/shorts/socks
3. Namesets (NNs) and patches

The discussions here are generic but related to the items above, such as where to find a certain jersey or nameset, asking questions on patches etc...

Anyone can share their latest jerseys they bought since this is a thread about jerseys.

RULES AND REGULATIONS (R&R)

Make sure that none of the things below are mentioned:

1. Talking/discussing about fake jerseys/patches/gear
2. Flaming and causing stir/arguing with another LYN member
3. Any racial abuse or football clubs sentiment
4. Anything that is against the general rules of this forum.

If anyone breaks the rule, they will be reported to the moderators and admins.

As discussed with the previous thread starter, I decided to volunteer and open the thread again (thanks MobyDick).

For newbies, any questions please refer to page 1 first. I will post some guides in the first page for references because sometimes the same question is asked over and over again..

EXTRA ATTENTION TO MEMBERS OF LYN FORUM AND REGULARS TO THIS THREAD!

Most of the regulars know who are the previous troublemakers who like to cause stir in this thread. They will either:

1. Insult people's collection
2. Brag about themselves
3. Insult other people's knowledge on jerseys
4. Flame other people
5. All the above.

IF YOU FIND THEM POSTING IN THIS THREAD ... please report to the moderators and IGNORE THEM ... because their postings are worthless and most of them are more into seeking attention only..

If you post in the forum, then you agree with the rules stated above.

Thank you!

WHERE TO BUY NAME/NUMBER SET (NNs) AND PATCHES

ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE LETTERS/NUMBERS & PATCHES FOR THE TOP 4 EPL TEAMS

user posted image

Letters/Numbers are in black or white colours. Navy & Red NNs depend on stock availability and are ordered and sold as sets (not individually like black and white).
Locally each EPL letter costs RM6 per letter and RM35 per number. So if you want to buy ROONEY 10, it will cost:

(6 letters X RM6) + (2 numbers X RM35) = RM36 + RM70 = RM106

A pair of EPL patches (normal or champions patches) costs RM49 per pair (2 pieces for both sleeves).
You can purchase the EPL NNs and Patches (normal and champions) at:

1. Local Stores: Al-Ikhsan, Real One and Q-Line
2. Online:

2. If you buy from online (ebay or overseas seller), ask in the forum or pm myself if you need second opinion to see if it's authentic or not. I will not be held responsible if the item is found to be fake later.

I will update this page from time to time, if you guys have any useful info.. please PM me.. Thanks!

RECOMMENDED FOREIGN ONLINE SPORTS SHOPS FOR PURCHASING AUTHENTIC JERSEYS/NNs/BADGES

Here is the list of names/address/contact information of local sports shops that have a previous and currently proven record of selling authentic items (jerseys, namesets and badges). As you all know, one of the rules and principles of all JCs (Jersey Collectors) are to say no to fake jerseys, NNs and badges.

We had a case with one of our previously recommended and endorsed shop somewhere in KL who we previously trusted and recommended to our friends and other fellow JCs. But in early 2008, 2 of their employees broke our trust and started to sell fake namesets and badges. Our mistake was not to spread this news because we though it was a one off case and we had good faith on that shop. But sadly it became worst because many people fell victims to these 2 unethical sellers who preyed on naive and innocent buyers who wanted to buy original items and paid the items with prices that matches authentic items. Is it unethical but at the end they got away with it because we didn't have any proof against them. It is funny to see how they pretend they didn't know about it and were plain cowards for not admitting it or still claiming that it's authentic. And at the end, the tauke himself said to one of our mates in the JC group to trust him more than us. That really upset us because we were wasting time giving them chance to sort out things, trusting and endorsing them, and at the end.. after trying to gain back our trust and believe on them.. we were scolded back as if we were the one starting the fuss. Takkan pokok bergoyang kalau tiada angin bertiup.. right?

So what we can do now is.. for the sake and safety of other JCs, newbies and friends out there is to list down the local and foreign sports shops that are guaranteed to sell authentic items and are personally endorsed by us. We might not have 10 years experience of selling items (quoted by someone who claims that players actually wear jersey with PU typed NNs during matches because they are light.. WTF..?) but we know our stuff. And I have black and white proof to back that up.

Anyway if you want to visit the recommended shops that we endorse, here they are:

To answer your question.

Generally it is impossible to get the player jersey or player issue jersey in Malaysia. EXCEPT for Malaysia's national home/away jersey.

Why is this?

Simple. Because only the supplier (kitman or kit manager) gets the stock supplied by Nike or Adidas or any brand. By right, the player issue jerseys are meant for the players only. It has different characteristics compared to the replica jersey for certain reasons. For adidas kits, they have PU type 3 stripes so that they look solid. For replica jerseys, it is not a good idea to have the jersey with PU typed 3 stripes because replica jerseys are daily worn and used.. it won't last longer.

Another feature that exists in player issue jerseys are sometimes they are head bonded (not stitched). Can you imagine if the replica jerseys all are head bonded? How would it last longer?

This is the reason why the market is limited for player issue jerseys, even in Malaysia. We can find some player issue Malaysia jerseys thanks to the fact that it's Malaysia's kit so the supplier is in Malaysia.

For certain adidas player issue kits like liverpool and chelsea, because they are Made in China.. some ebay sellers from Hong Kong can easily obtain them. Then they are sold a lot in ebay. These sellers are lucky because they are able to contact the suppliers who have the stock and then resell them.

Shops locally do not sell the player issue jerseys just because they are no stock/supply and because if they are.. they are more expensive due to it's rarity.

Hope this answers your question.

@whoopa - Nike used to have some PI stock for Malaysia's home kit, but that was during end 2009. Not sure if they still have some left now. And it's the same price as replica i.e. RM259.90.

Reporting into the new thread, keep up the good work TS!

seeing it side by side like that didnt noticed the size difference could be so obvious.or is it just for this season's kit. hmm.gif previous kits i would think not so much different in length & width.mebbe an inch/half inch off.correct me if i'm wrong. but the cutting for the current seasons kit is definitely more fitting than last ones tho.so mebbe cos of that the difference seems obvious.

So far, no rumors of NN change. But to be on the safe side, would be better if we wait till the season start. Maybe Liverpool bought new player and it happened to be your favourite. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

From our sources it would appear the fonts would be the same for another year. But yup would probably be best to wait till the new squad list is out and confirmation.

hey peeps.just wondering.do u guys especially the old time jc-ers here tongue.gif could like differentiate a replica & a fake kit by just a glimpse. i.e just by passing a person wearing the kit or just from a pic w/o the obvious hints (labels, tags, etc) ? i mean the fake nowadays are getting waaayyyyyyyyy better. for example i just saw the current season's fake man utd kit sold & is almost indistinguishable except of the tags sweat.gif even down to the v-shaped ventilation panels is brilliantly reproduced. so i was wondering whats the most obvious giveaways to detect fake jerseys nowadays?? i used to look out for the club badge & manufacturers logo & material.so usually i could see whether ppl are wearing fake or replica jerseys.been my hobby whenever i walk around or watching football at mamak tongue.gif what say u??

Must not be confused between the kick-off version and the replica, because many take the man utd kick-off version as fake.

To learn to differentiate just by looking, one usually have to own the original first, not just see the jersey at boutiques or ALI.

To me, I will look at the badge first. Sometimes the person walk so fast you also cannot see clearly. 2nd, the colour of the jersey. Even white jerseys have like different tones. 3rd is the material/texture of the jersey, you can see the material of the jersey if you have touched the original one. I have a few other "tricks" but don't know how to explain. sweat.gif

Well I am not a taiko, so maybe jerseyman will know best, but he might not share as there might be fake sellers reading this thread.

yeah lor. it's hard to share such info just in case it falls into the wrong hands.

but as dragonrock said, it's much easier to notice all the little features in a jersey after you've own them yourself.

all i can say it comes from experience and I do agree that the fake technology is getting better every passing year and it'll be very very hard to spot fakes from originals in the near future. thus always buy from trusted online shops/physical shops as per 1st page.

yeah.aint a problem if buy from official/reputable sources.but if wanting to grab great deals from evilbay is a b***h.even here on LYN got selling kits esp for WC offering super prices but to prove authenticity is a problem.on newer jerseys even the tags are duplicated perfectly. rclxub.gif

i believe the fakers make alot of money during big events like the world cup, where everyone is frenzied into the hype of the game. so even non football people and non jersey collectors will suddenly want to buy jerseys because of the hype.

and most of them dont know fake from real. so they cant tell.
they will just say, hey that's freaking cheap. i'll just go n buy it.
so thats where most of the fakers get their money from - naive / ignorant ppl.

yes. that's the PI version that you can buy from the adidas shops here.
shipping's a b**** tho. and of course the damn customs issue.
so it's easier to just get it locally, unless it's on sale of course.

almost impossible to get besides from ordering kit with the patches from the official acmilanstore. they might be loose sets avail around in ebay but most of are fakes.

Guys really need your advise here. I've made a purchase with kitbag in early April and lodge a report since I still not received it after 17 working days. I chose refund and the money was credited to my account yesterday. ~ The story starts here ~ yesterday I received notification from pos malaysia to collect my undelivered parcel at post office and it turns to be my reported missing parcel doh.gif and the date it was release by customs is about a month ago. So what should I do since I got both, my money back and also my parcel.

its not that i'm not patient enough but any undelivered parcel should be reported to kitbag within 30 days and 17 working days is almost a month.

i dont think this is a case of dishonest or u trying to con kitbag la..
it sometimes happens..actually it happens a lot in normal day life..
im actually suprised no one suggested this but i would buy another item from ktbag wif the money u got back..
if the money is not enough, then add ur own money that u actually saved after getting the refund..
this way the money goes back to kitbag la in someway..

actually, i believe if you emailed kitbag and told them the situation, they will just ask you to keep the shirts wan.
haha i doubt they'd ask you to send it all the way back to them.
then u'd get both and a guilt free conscience.

if i'm not mistaken, kitbag was always an online retailer until recently.
they just opened their store actually.
so i dont think that they had display units.

doesnt matter, just take pics and sent it to their customer service.
then see what they say.

@saif_bear

apologies but I think some of the images are broken. i will check with the TS.

in the meantime, wash your kits via hand-wash, careful to NOT soak overnight. hang dry as well, for maximum protection. no diff for PU and non-PU, just that you will have to be extra careful with PU kits (i.e. don't soak too long, do not wring, etc).

Based on my last Wednesday visit at Sunway ALI, no. I'll have a visit again today at Bangi. If Bangi already got, I believe every ALI should have as well.

Meaning to say it's already +/- 17 days it has been shipped (excluding Sunday). Under Kitbag's policy you have 30 days from the date of purchase to claim a refund it your item doesn't arrive. In the meantime you can continue waiting and take inspiration from a guy here who like you, waited for almost a month before he got his. However, he reported to Kitbag prior to the parcel arrival and successfully obtained a refund.

However, he reported to Kitbag prior to the parcel arrival and successfully obtained a refund.

thanks for the info. well, i think i should send them e-mail to solve this matter. well, i'll be lucky to caught in the same situation as that guy. hahaha. for the express shipping, how many days does it actually takes to get here?

The Barcelona new home kit might be arriving locally in July 2010. Nike always brings in the new club kits in July. You can pre-order the new kit at kitbag.

Feel odd seeing Barcelona's home maroon shorts. Similar to the 2005-2006 home kit.

The Valencia kappa kit is 100% authentic. No worries.

Sorry mate.. that is the confirmed design.

I even saw a photo where it was already being sold with the price tag some more..

No worries.. at first it looks awful but later... from time to time, we will get used to it and love it. Good example is the 07/09 home kit. Simple and awful at first but later...

I hope nike is not using the same sticky material for the stripe on the shoulder like being used with current wc2010 brazil yellow kit.
My only concern is with the hot and humid weather here, will the material melts if place in the cupboard.
Can jerseyman confirm this?

For the new Adidas kits, I realized that there are 2 different tech, techfit and nontechfit (I believed formation).

Consider pic below:-

Lahm and Muller

Look at the shoulder, for robben, there is somekind black lining, which are a trademark for techfit, while for Lahm and Muller, there is none. The cutting is different as well.

Anyone can confirm this?

You can see on Muller picture, the bottom left of the jersey (where it suppose to say ClimaCool on replica) it says formotion.

But for Chelsea kit, the jersey bottom will put techfit but no webbing.

@dxjb - Al-Ikhsan BB Plaza. Alternatively you can look up chcher, he has quite a variety of namesets and patches for sale as well.

@madfag - 0910 Champs i.e. for MU? Try chcher as well, he should be able to help you out.

0910 Champs patch - used by champions of the previous season i.e. 0809 Man Utd.

1011 Champs patch - used by champions of 0910 season i.e. Chelsea.

FYI 1011 Champs patches are not out yet in KL so maybe you can wait until 1011 season starts proper to purchase the patches.

You can either buy from Al-Ikhsan BB Plaza and have them applied for you, or buy from chcher and apply them yourself. Check out the simple DIY section on 1st page, can use home iron also.

haha you are indeed lucky, because it has since been confirmed to be the same as per previous seasons.

the champs patches are the same (design-wise) just that the wordings are different i.e. 0910 Champions or 0809 Champions etc.

haha you are indeed lucky, because it has since been confirmed to be the same as per previous seasons.

the champs patches are the same (design-wise) just that the wordings are different i.e. 0910 Champions or 0809 Champions etc.
*
oh my! you're right! i totally forgot about the date on the patch! thanks! it would definitely be embarrassing if i applied the united ones! LOL.

RM90 only for Portugal. The rest, I couldnt recall exact price.

For Portugal, Got size M and L. L size, all with ronaldo 7. But that one would be extra RM39 if I am not mistaken.

The location is at Bangi, opposite Bangi Kopitiam.

Turkey also got, but all L.

Most of the jersey are L. Arsenal still got plenty, with Persie and Fabregas.

They calculate NN and jersey separately. Jersey got discount, but NN, none.

So if let say jersey is RM80, the Lextra NN still cost you the same, around RM100. Sum up, RM180.

Not all the items are cheap..
the cheap ones are the ones that they want to offload like last season jerseys and jerseys from 2 seasons ago..
the new ones like the world cup or epl jerseys are still standard price..i think meh.. icon_rolleyes.gif

For Korea and Australia, I think this is one of the rare few times that they have embroidered crest. Usually they are PU kind, sometimes the Swoosh also PU. Hopefully from now on, it will all be embroidered. Same goes for other smaller nations.

But I think NZ jersey still PU right? hmm.gif

For aussie:

0608, PU badge, embroided Nike
0810, Pu badge, PU Nike
1012, Embroided badge and Nike.

before that they were all embroided as well, coz only PI are PU printed. Nowadays PU also embroided already.

Yes, you can in terms of personal preference smile.gif

The 07/08 UCL Champions starball was used on season 08-09 only while the CWC Patch was used on season 08-09 and 09-10

That's why. But weird, you look at the footballshirtculture replies, most of them like it. Is this a new trend in europe or somewhere?

I am hoping that this would be our GK kit.

Gold EPL all finished, but that's the 0910 Champs version i.e. for 0809 Champions (MU). Chelsea's ones (1011 Champs) are not out commercially yet in KL.

I did it once on to my Everton jersey. Removed the chang sponsors. But I did it because the jersey was black colour.

When you attempt to do it, there will be glue stains left.. it will be obvious is the jersey is bright colour (yellow, red, etc etc)..

And to remove it............ was not an easy feat because the glue is super strong. I had to use a round iron sponge (used to clean the dishes in the sink) to brush it off.. no other choice because peeling it off was not easy. It depends if the glue is strong or not, but PU glue is normally strong and the nature of the PU material (which is super thin and is almost one single layer with the surface) made it hard.

It depends.. if the glue is strong, then you need extra effort. Here were the results:

the extra crest under the badge i think.
another thing would be the limitation of the NN's behind it.
limited to 5 only.
does that mean different font?

That's why. But weird, you look at the footballshirtculture replies, most of them like it. Is this a new trend in europe or somewhere?

I am hoping that this would be our GK kit.

0910 Champs patch - used by champions of the previous season i.e. 0809 Man Utd.

1011 Champs patch - used by champions of 0910 season i.e. Chelsea.

FYI 1011 Champs patches are not out yet in KL so maybe you can wait until 1011 season starts proper to purchase the patches.

You can either buy from Al-Ikhsan BB Plaza and have them applied for you, or buy from chcher and apply them yourself.  Check out the simple DIY section on 1st page, can use home iron also.

officicially you are wrong, ie officially the terms used by aw13 are the terms used by suppliers etc. 10/11 champs patch refers to the patch worn by the champs in season 1011 ie chelsea

but most ppl would refer to them as you mentioned, since they see the numbers printed on the badge itself, ie "0910 champions" for chelsea would be taken to mean "0910 champs patch", which is not what official suppliers call them.

whichever it is just double confirm before buying smile.gif

Hm interested in the Kaka one for Brasil Away... but not gonna be around till world cup starts, hope still got stock then.

Another thing, my Brasil away jersey for some reason has some pulls on the inside after 1-2 washes. The material seems to damage easier than normal jerseys, either that or I damaged it myself somehow. Aih haha... heart pain

Gold EPL all finished, but that's the 0910 Champs version i.e. for 0809 Champions (MU). Chelsea's ones (1011 Champs) are not out commercially yet in KL.

Ok, that mean the wording on the badges should be 0910 right?

Another one of jerseyman's useful DIY guide.. taken from My-FJC forum to share with you lots:

How To Remove Your Nameset/Patches Using Dylan Stain Remover

Sometimes it is necessary to remove the wrong namesets or patches on the jersey that you've purchased. Many instance like for example, a wrong patch applied onto a jersey, you want to replace a replica sized patches with a player issue size one... In the past, the method was quite hard to do.. now thanks to the existence of some stain removers like Dylan's, we are able to do it.

That's the fun of DIY football jersey.

OK, there are a lot of stain removers that we can use to remove any nameset or patches. But for jerseyman's guide here, we will use Dylan Stain Remover that can be purchased locally at stores such as Tesco, Giant or other hypermarkets. You can see below that I found the stuff being sold at Tesco for RM10.70:

user posted image
Dylon Stain Remover being sold at Tesco for RM10.70

We will use the one which is 'for dry clean fabrics' as shown below:

user posted image

Now, for today's experiment.. our guinea pig will be the Hull City 2009-2010 home jersey that I bought from Hull City's Online Store:

user posted image

When I bought the jersey and found out that the BPL patches were replica sized (smaller compared to the normal player issue ones), I've decided to remove it and later apply a player issue one that is bigger onto the sleeves. Bare in mind that the disadvantages from this method is that there will be glue stains left from your jersey and unless your jersey is dark colour (black colour), the glue stains are obvious and can be seen.. So the best reason to do this, is to replace a wrong patches or nameset with a correct one.. but then again you have to know the consequences.. example the glue stains might still be seen... This is a probability though.. if the nameset has glue that is not strong enough (as strong as PU or lextra typed namesets/patches ) then there is a chance that we can remove it using this technique without leaving any glue stains...

So before you do this.. bare in mind this risk (of glue stains being left on the surface of the jersey after the patches/nameset has been removed).

Here are the steps:

1. Flip your jersey inside out (terbalikkan) and find the area where the patches/nameset originally sits:

user posted image

2. One thing when using Dylon Stain Remover.. at the end of the tip of the bottle, there is a sponge and button that needs you to press the surface of the jersey so that the liquid comes out.. This is a good mechanism to avoid the solution from spilling out accidentally.. so remember, press the tip of the bottle to the jersey's surface so that the liquid comes out:

user posted image

Once you understand how it works, press and damp the area where the patches/nameset sits with the solution from Dylon Stain Remover:

user posted image
Start dampening the area where the patches/nameset sits using Dylon Stain Remover

user posted image
The patches that is fully damped with the liquid from the Dylon Stain Remover

3. Once done, you need to flip back your jersey and put the Dylon Stain remover solution on the other surface of the patches/nameset (which is outside):

user posted image

This is to ensure that the patches is 100% dampened and smeared with the liquid from both sides.

4. Leave the patches for 5-10 minutes.. so that the solution starts to play it's role (removing the glue)

- to be continued -

5. Then start trying to peel off the patches.. I would advise you guys to start from a sharp pointing area (such as the edges) to be your starting point:

user posted image

Slowly peel off the patches/nameset from the starting point:

user posted image
Slowly peel off the patches from the starting point

Slowly peel off the patches from the starting point

6. From one starting point, move to the next other.. look for areas where you can start.. ensuring that almost all corners are covered:

Peel off other edges around the corner of the patches..

user posted image
Peel off other edges around the corner of the patches..

7. During the peeling off process.. if you notice that the patches are stuck and hard to peel off.. don't worry, re-apply the Dylan Stain Remover solution back onto the patches/nameset:

user posted image
If the peeling off process becomes stuck or hard to do, re-apply the solution

8. Then continue to peel off.. once all corners are covered.. then the peeling off process becomes easier:

9. Peel off the patches patiently.. once done here are the results:

user posted image
The BPL patch that was successfully peeled off using Dylon Stain Remover

The remains from the sleeves.. can see that the BPL patch has been removed

If you do the peeling off properly and carefully (with a lot of patience), you might have the patches that were removed in still good condition (except that the shpae looks a bit awkward like 'bergulung' or rolled):

user posted image
If done properly and carefully, the removed patches will still be intact and good shape.

10. One thing that I have reminded earlier, there is a risk that the glue stain will still remain on the jersey's surface:

user posted image
Glue stains still remain after removing the patches.. this is a risk from this procedure

Good luck!

re sixseven, it is not easy to look for old jerseys BNWT or BNWOT. classic football shirts as shared by jenglots is your best bet (just be careful with their description, always go for Mint if possible) other than that its on Ebay.

Need to be patient in this hobby smile.gif

I might be getting a shirt that has an autograph on it..
i dont plan in framing in as I love the shirt more than the players autograph..

quick question for those who have bought from kitbag before. My order from kitbag never reached here despite asking to resend. So i have now opt for the refund. May i know how long does the refund take? and where they will refund it to? cause they never asked for the bank account.

i think jenglots misunderstood u. rm99 is for the nameset alone. the shirt retails at rm259.00. add them up and u get the figure.

Added on June 3, 2010, 2:13 amand if nns n shirt purchsed from ALI, no charge for printing, if bought outsie, thet charge rm1o additional for the printing.

Based on previous qualifying matches and match played yesterday against Zimbabwe, Kaka was wearing #10, so most probably he will wears #10 in the world cup too smile.gif smile.gif

I advise you not to do that, if the player(s) who signed the shirt is famous, the shirt can fetch hundreds of GB pounds in value. without the signature, the shirt can only be 20quid. If you do not plan to get the autograph, i suggest you buy one without signatures instead. I know some people doesnt bother with signatures, personal preferences...but if you got the shirt, keep it for the value and get another one for wearing.

Bro, south africa is at south hemisphere, meaning their weather is the other way round compared to north hemisphere, ie. UK, America etc.

In fact, if you look at the world map, you can see that South Africa is at the same level with Australia. I can tell you from my personal experience that right now, temperature is 11 degrees at 9.30pm. so during the day, the temperature can range between 10-16 degrees depending on rain or sun. i am expecting to see lots of players wearing LS or SS with baselayer inside.

But to answer aaronwu's questions, the reason is maybe because scared of lack of market? national teams seldom release their LS kits, except for a few odd countries. This time around, i see England, Mexico, Italy, South Africa to name a few that have commercial LS shirts. Nike ones are rarer. and Chelsea and Liverpool kits already out because its Adidas' marketing ploy, to have the players wear them at the end of the season and then sell them soon after, while Nike will wait till a bit later, around mid June or July. no idea whats the marketing strategy of each of the companies, but thats the trend.

Thanks alot for your help pyroboy1911 ! Hmmm i'd think releasing l/s shirts would earn quite a lot of market as many die hard fans would love to have l/s ones. Guess i'd have to wait a while before Nike releases their new kits for clubs.

@aaronwu - normally ls shirts are not released commercially, although there is a trend to bring in some over the last 2 years, case in point being Barcelona Home, Arsenal Home/Away, etc. Note, only Nike teams. England has ls and ss for quite some time already now, for sale in KL.

@riziger - the numbers in ALI/Real One were prior to the finalisation of squad numbers hence a few errors here and there, namely for De Rossi, and as you brought up, Kuyt and V Persie.

mine to share who the siggy belongs to? tongue.gif But be careful though, make sure you got all the proof necessary, like when was the shirt signed, got picture proof or not, how reliable is the seller etc. be very critical of the item, make sure the seller proof to you that it is genuine, rather than you try to proof to seller (and ebay or paypal) that it is fake. there are too many fake signed shirts out there, one of the bad consequence that comes out of the high value of the item.

to remove ink stain, dunno those Dylon stain remover will work or not...because their job is to remove stains, we make use of it to remove glue coz glue is one of the type of stains. not sure if it will work or not. Or try applying small amount of spirit on it, and see if the ink dissolve or not. no guarantee it will work, but if the ink is oil based (most water proof inks are), then it might work.

Btw all the world cup squads finalised, but their NNs finalised already? Wanna get Kaka and Robinho NNs. Maybe should wait till the WC starts?

And anywhere I can find old EPL NNs? Wanna re-make the 2005 Istanbul Final jersey. Mine put into the washing machine, now destroyed.

Another question guys, whats the difference between kid sized jerseys and adult sizes? cuz many ppl seem to be saving a couple of euros getting huge kids sized jerseys instead of adult sizes. Is it the same? And what is XL kids sized jerseys equivalent to?

not really. sometimes some customers/collectors are not that picky, as long as the player wore that number playing a competitive/friendly game, will do. like i said, some players are more inclined to choose their favourite numbers in friendlies, etc.

as for old epl nns, best bet is eBay. or any of the online shops as stated in page 1.

the confirmed list is out already, as per the fifa.com link. you won't go wrong with Kaka 10 and Robinho 11, that's their normal numbers anyway! my advise, if you were to buy locally, get it quick as stocks go fast when the tournament starts proper. good luck.

All the numbering has been annonced officially smile.gif ....  ready to buy frm kitbag!  but i gt a question here, if i place 2 different order to avoid the tax... caz rm500 limitation for 1 order mah... let say if this 2 different order add up is over rm 500 will the custom still tax me?? caz i wil be ordering these 2 orders the same day let say maybe juz few minutes difference... will Malaysia custom still tax me if they found out??? sori  i noe the question is abit noob.. but i juz wan to double confirm...i hope experince members here can help me smile.gif

You can try to make those 2 orders separately by order date as well. Just to be safe.

QUOTE(aaronwu @ Jun 5 2010, 01:55 AM)
Another question guys, whats the difference between kid sized jerseys and adult sizes? cuz many ppl seem to be saving a couple of euros getting huge kids sized jerseys instead of adult sizes. Is it the same? And what is XL kids sized jerseys equivalent to?
*
One huge difference is the sizing of the club crest + front sponsors + shirt manufacturer logo. The kid size jerseys has smaller club crest + front sponsors + shirt manufacturer logo compared to the adult size jersey. Another difference is the price. Kids size jersey is cheaper.

XL kids size is the equivalent of adult S size.

Yes it is not good, but you can rectify it by sticking oil paper inside the plastic cover (where the PU nameset/sponsor sits)

Simple. The SMALL FRONT NUMBERS are for the international team jerseys. They are the small front numbers lah, the small numbers place at the front of the national team jerseys. Like the england home jersey, the front number is the small number located at the front (beneath the umbro and england crest)

Guys, why hasn't kitbag changed the players' squad numbers yet? Kaka's is still 8 while van der vaart is still 10.

In the Kitbag list, Ronaldinho 10 is still there. Unless u r really desperate, Personalise it yourself at kitbag. It would be more expensive. smile.gif
But i'm not sure the outcome would be the same or not. Anyone tried ?

My oldest jersey is the 1997-1999 away Manchester LS with beckham nn. the nameset and number already turn yellow. May I know how to clean them? and the NN is coming off? anyway to fix this? Use glue can ar? sorry because I'm a noob in jersey care and handling... i just buy and wear. some i put in closet for few years untouch... all got bau almari...

since world cup is coming, can I know where i can buy the Italy 2000 jersey home color size M and France 1998 and 2000 home color jersey size M? dun mind used as long it is in good condition.

i thought all national kits came with the front numbers wan.

Syumul..

We can enjoy this hobby if we know how to.. Ensure that you have a proper budget to follow... set limit per month.. (easy said, not easy done though) Try to avoid using credit cards but use debit card to help controlling your budget.

And try to be nice and be friends with other collectors because they might help you provide some useful sources to buy authentic but cheap jerseys. Be honest, do not join into this hobby because of making profit and easy money from this noble hobby. We have some members who do that and betray us because we trust people when we share some sources and links to obtain good deals and bargains. But then once we found out that they are making side business and milking out money from this, it hurts us and don't ever break a trust from any member.

I've had ups and downs from this hobby. The bad side is I had few financial issues because of this hobby and I lost some friends because of it also. I'm a person who used to trust people easily but then once I know that a certain person cannot be trusted (no matter how huge his collection is or if he is a die hard match worn collector) I will never trust that person again. So trust is important.

The ups is of course.. I get to know so many friends, locally and abroad.

Have fun.

but, like Jerseyman said, we have to managed it properly....

at the early stage, i just focused on my fav team jersey.
when it is completed, then i go for other club/team jersey that are cheap, hehehehe....... smile.gif

I'm with odieseven on this. Problem with female cutting jerseys is the sleeves are too small. Cannot place the EPL patches or starball on the sleeves. Besides for some muslims, they might feel more comfy to wear boys size or even men size jerseys.
