thats the time i usually think nonsensical things, right before the lift lol. usually in the lines of:

"wtf am i doing?"

guess i need more positive reinforcement lol.

My worry is that since my chest is already flat. By me making more chest press (3 time a week), my chest wont grow big as the muscle cant rest). Realise my chest has become flatter. How ar

ur solution is very simple.

Pair push exercises (bench) with a pull exercise (row)

EAT way more, lift and be patient.

It's still gonna be flat one month from now if u worry so much. quit worrying and start eating and lifting

I think you are training too much chest. You should hit your chest once a week, to the max. You shoudn't be able to push (press) not until at least another 4-5 days before training it again.

LOL i have posted this question in another thread but i think it's more appropriate to post it here. i'll just copy paste it here then. damn, i wish i knew about this forum few years back. it's loaded with good info.

hi,

wanna know, is it possible to bulk up in 6 months?

I use to weight lift and take protein shakes. but back then I wasn't doing it properly.

Here's my history, i used to be fat, lost weight from 80++ kg to bout 50kg. then dad said i'm too thin so i started weight lifting and got back to bout 80 kg again. but this time it's not so much of fat.

but the problem is i dun have proper plan and i did not have proper diet. I think i overload with the protein and did not drink enough water. hence i had severe constipation and bleeding( coz berak cut my ass hole lor ) lol so doctor ask me stop taking protein shake.

anyway, i stop working out and stop the protein thing. but i still continue doing diamond push up daily (50 to 100 depends on mood).

my question is, is it possible to bulk up again but this time if i get proper assistance from a trainer. i plan to do it in 6 months. doable o not?

i read that taylor lautner (the twilight guy) bulk up in a year. christian bale (batman) in about 6 months if i'm not mistaken.

so kinda got the idea of trying back. but this time i wanna do it right. haha in terms of dicipline, no worries, i can put in the hours as long as i have proper guidance. i'm currently studying at sunway college and i saw some really buff guys and i kinda envy them. lol

another questions, why do the people i see working out don't have proportionate bodies? i'm not sure if it's an asian thing or not, but i've seen alot of men with huge chest but small arm. or maybe huge bicept but disproportionately smaller shoulder? or sometimes huge arms but flat chest? i'm not talking about those profesional bodybuilders la, coz they memang have superb body dy. i mean those at gyms.

i no need too big of a body. something like mark wahlbergh would be nice.

why 6 months? coz my friend actually came up with the idea to record my progress in a documentary style thing. as a college project. he suggest that we get students from the medical, psychology, business and art faculty to join. why psychology, coz he wanna see what motivates people to push harder or train harder. alot of people stop half way due to many reason. he wants to see the role of a trainer not only as someone who guides but also someone who can offer mental support.

lol that's why he came up with 6 months coz need a proper dateline. his idea is to get free trainer and membership from gyms for that 6 months. hence the need for business students to come up with a marketing plan.

he suggets that i be the subject for this project coz i used to do it the wrong way. he wanna see if proper help from profesionals can make any diference.

why documentary? he says he wanna promote healthy lifestyle among youth. or to inspire them that a nobody can actually achive what he wants if he has the right mental attitude. lol at least that's the reason he gave. i suspect he just wanna get free stuff. lol

anyway, it's just an idea he had. so i thought of sharing it here and wanna know if it is possible to do it. without steroids of course. lol

below is the kind of body i'd like to aim for. haha

don't flame me pls. i kinda noob in this area. so i jus wanna learn more about it.

i'll try to answer a few of these:

QUOTE

6 months i think is quite unrealistic. people bb for years to get their figure. its not a crash course, its a lifestyle change

QUOTE

depends on your goal. dont expect too much imho

QUOTE

BB isnt just about training hard. its equal parts of hard training, nutrition and resting. genetics play a huge role too

QUOTE

simple, you train hard on a particular body part and dont do the same intensity on other body parts that body part would be better compared to the rest. genetics play a role too.

a trainer would only help you go the right way. its 90% your own effort imo.

most personal trainers, if not all, earns only by commission based. good luck trying to get one for free though.. wink.gif

thanks so much for replyin! biggrin.gif

what stikies?

i did asked him to do it. but he said that he wants to see other ppl do it first. LOL

anyway, it's just an idea. nothing concrete yet. i think he's discussing with some lecturers to see if it's feasible o not.

if he can get all those trainer and free stuff in place, hell yea i'm gonna do it. it's free wut. y say no. tongue.gif

i read that chritian bale transformed from thin to bulk within 6 to 7 months. do u have any idea how he does it? coz he was filming another film b4 batman that requires hiim to lose all his muscle. in an interview, on the first day he started training, he could not even do one push up coz he has lost all his muscle.

so how does he bulk up so fast? any idea? u think doable by normal ppl like us? tongue.gif

Well, for one, you need a lot of money to afford loads of food and supplements. IMO, trainers are just to keep you on track and keep you going, it's up to you to get the work done.

On a side note, I just received my order for BCAAs (unflavoured). Biggest mistake I've ever made. Lol. They taste so bad.

i've been goin to gym for 3 weeks already~ workout 5 days per week.

but these few days, I saw there are 4-5 red lines on each side of my shoulder. i did not scratch my shoulder, is it stretching?

Since I am quite fat, I've some stretch mark on my shoulder last time and they turned into white since so long already. but now new stretches is coming again i think~ or could it be something else?

To bulk up in 6 months, for first timer, harder.
for a guy that used to be buff, then lost muscle, then wanna put it back on, easier.
and yes, you can bulk up in 6 months, just dont expect to look like those guys in the pictures u posted.

actors are paid millions and thousands for their roles in the movies. if they dont get the body, they dont get the pay.
as such, they're highly motivated to train their @$$ off. and secondly, they have pro trainers and nutritionists to guide them.
if u have these available to you, then you'll progress much faster too.

and about that idea that your fren has, it is possible. there are few people in this forum that has already achieved it. ask him come here and interview some of em.

If u wanna look like those fellas in the pictures, you gotta eat like them, train like them and rest like them.

Mix it with citric drink, it can kill the bitterness. I mixed mine with orange mixing powder (sugar free)
