Just got my 13" MBP today. Nothing wrong so far except that the aluminium body has static electricity when the AC is plugged in.. =/

that's because of malaysian power sockets tongue.gif just use the extended three-pin plug cable (the long one). shud be fine.

QUOTE(llsphinxll @ Jun 22 2010, 04:56 AM)
oh its normal?okay. cos when someone mentioned 'calibrate' in the earlier post, i thought there is a way for me to adjust perhaps some settings to make it 100% again. so what you're saying is, as time goes by, the percentage will decrease?
currently this is the info from my mac:

  Charge Information:
  Charge remaining (mAh): 4145
  Fully charged: Yes
  Charging: No
  Full charge capacity (mAh): 4320
  Health Information:
  Cycle count: 61
  Condition: Normal
*
actually calibrating doesnt improve the battery at all, there's nothing u can do to do that. it's an irreversible process, just like how u cannot increase the fuel in ur car no matter what u do, apart from filling up.

calibration just lets the computer to have more accurate data about ur battery. it involves going from full charge to no charge at all so ur computer can recognize how much is 100% charge and how much is 0% charge. actual battery health will always decrease if u use it smile.gif

take out your mac osx disc from your disc docket, boot up with that and try to see if there is any harddisk mounted on your mac through disk utility

What do you mean by hard disk mounted on my mac? Well I do have a WD desktop ext HDD for my time machine always attached to my MBW.

Meaning by booting up from the disc it can detect hard disk inside your mac or not

thank you viper, shanecross: if its your HDD thats faulty then better get a new one unless you are still under warranty, and reinstall the OS and retrieve backups from the EXT WD

since it only happened once maybe u can just shrug it off tongue.gif

btw if u boot from the OSX DVD, u can do a disk repair. when the dvd loads, go to Utilities at the top n find disk utility. assuming it detects ur internal hard drive and it shows up on the left panel, u can select it and click on "Repair Disk" on the right
