Hey guys & girls, can someone tell me currently I'm using the Late 2009 Macbook White Unibody, is it possible for me to upgrade to this casing?

Just the casing of the unibody, what if the Macbook's Unibody got broken parts, surely they have extra casing for replacement. Might never know they have for the Macbook White     

I guess the 15" one should have no problem. I am using the 13" most basic one(2.4 GHZ) and aperture 3 runs very smooth

Is the ACPP worth getting from AppleStore for RM749 (edu price) or should wait around for some offers by resellers?

Mac OSX is not virus-free or has flawless security.

As for Windows-based infections, it depends on the nature of the virus. E.g. if it exploits an EXE executable, then it won't affect OSX because the latter runs on a completely different framework. In most cases, your OSX system is safe.

This is a great tip if you don't trust the user to not open random attachments, visit unverified links, install random crap, etc. It's inconvenient, but safe.

There have been many security exploits for the OSX in recent years, mostly from Safari. But definitely nothing compared to Windows, of course.

im wondering if this is still true? bootcamp 3.0 can write to the OSX partition right? so virus can go in OSX partition? no effect la, but juz wondering if it's possible

You should try and give the applecare a call and see if it possible to change without paying as last time macbook white has this issue and they offered free replacement... Im sure everyone would suggest this way as this is the only way..

Yep, apps will sync in your mbp but you need to authorize your mbp. Once authorize then it will detect that you have all apps that are not in your itunes and it should be copied over

Might be possible as in slightly better price (maybe in range of 100-200 max) or freebies. Alot of places offer greater flexibility if you want to pay by cash in sense of bargaining tool

yes all stores have the same price for new units. probably some stores can give u freebies n stuff. cheapest way is to get from online store with education discount and you must make sure you are a STUDENT, but no freebies la (unless u consider shipping as a freebie )

the compression depends on what file are u zipping. for already compressed formats lke JPEG, MP3, very hard to compress further. this is true on any operating system
browser depends on individual. i dun really like opera's interface, but the Turbo mode is very useful when i cant get good internet connection. i prefer firefox due to extensions, but chrome beats vanilla firefox IMO plus, firefox 3.7 should have sandboxing feature like chrome

i got my replacement MBP today.. very fast delivery 2 business day.. LOL..
anyway i think i may have another problem with this MBP. It can't connect to the internet!! =.="

@Suk I think its possible as one of the forumer did purchase MBP 13" one day before the new launch of MBPs... But his case is that Apple called him and tell him that it will be changed to the latest one.. Im not sure about your friends but definitely give a call to apple store.. Im sure they should give it to you..

Ugh, new MBW only RM3299, and the previous unibody's price is gonna drop. I bought mine earlier this year ... SIGH.

I agree on that too.... Thats why people should not rush and do some research before actually buying the item. Ive been researching on Macbook for almost 2 months before actually purchasing it...

@static Eh you going to get another MBW or you just wanna compare the price between the new and old...
