Depends on you actually... Some do buy together but I didnt buy... Due to you still can purchase it within the 1 year warranty as long as its not expired you will get the extra 2 years warranty. I didnt buy it when I bought mine is due to I can put the extra cash into somewhere more useful for me... =)

Seriously mate? I'm planning to order the MBP 17 i7 next week. I've already read that it might have heat issues. I'd understand that if the laptop is under strain, but 15 mins of cafe world? I've never used mac in my life so i don't know if this is normal

Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz... vs i5 2.4 Ghz..

can say like comparing 1.8L proton engine vs 1.8L turbocharged honda vtec engine. both also 1.8L, but one is much better

also, the i5 2.4Ghz can actually go up to 2.93 Ghz

another difference between the size is the graphics processors. the 13" got 320M which is not that fast but pretty decent. the 15" has intel HD, which is very slow compared to the 320M...but the 15" got another GPU, the 330M, which is around double the speed of the 320M

if you're comparing between those two models, maybe u can share with us what are you going to do with ur notebook. that way we can give u a better recommendation

seems like you game a lot. i think it's better for u to go for the 15" so u can have the 330M. im guessing the 320M can run those games but u'll likely need to settle for low graphic settings. not fun la like that ;p

get the MBP 15", n buy a good mouse if u havent got one

Hey guys, I need some opinions on this matter. I found this one guy on this one popular website. He told me sometimes once every two months he gets a $2000 Apple Gift Card and usually spend it on buying Macbooks and sell it and he claims that he's been doing that for quite a while. I didn't ask from where did he get the card tho my head keeps questioning who on earth would be getting that much of Gift Card. I've faith in him and we're gonna meet up tomorrow.

He offered me a brand new and sealed Macbook 15 core i5 2.4 GHz for a price of RM4800

The other offer is, an opened box Macbook 17 core i7 for RM5600

I'm more inclined to the i7 but the problem is, I fear there is something wrong with it and I'd prefer new stuff if possible not used ones but the price is hard to resist
They both come with a proof of purchase and was bought a week ago as he mentioned.

So my concerns are,

1) Is there any possibility that those are stolen units? (because the prices are just too good to be true but they come with a receipt)
2) For the i7, what's the worst problem could I be facing up to a point the warranty won't cover it?

Provided that my budget is just nice for the i7, and I can't afford a new one with a regular price, if you guys were in my shoes which one do you think I should grab?
Any advice on what I should check, compare, examine, etc?

that's because of malaysian power sockets just use the extended three-pin plug cable (the long one). shud be fine.
