hey guys i have a problem with my mbp. i left my mbp on today for roughly a few hours with the lit closed. i think it went on sleep mode. didnt on any fans near it cos nobody was at home. when i got back, the fan was in 'high' mode, and the laptop on the left side is really hot. this is the first time that this happened. usually if i were to close the lit of the laptop, even without fan, it wud not go into high fan. just wondering if any sifus know whats wrong with my mbp. anything gone wrong?

QUOTE(cRazYee @ May 9 2010, 10:54 AM) restart your mac, should be able to solve the problem cuz something it never gone to sleep mode as for me, happen before, just restart it, then it's fine again QUOTE(mememe12 @ May 9 2010, 12:58 PM) i guess this happen after u close the lid, you touch the wireless mouse? for me.. i better DC the wireless mouse before closing the lid.. urm i do use a wireless mouse, and its kept on most of the time. but ive been using the mouse for awhile now and the problem just occured. think perhaps its like how crazyee said, there is some unclosed programe running. after restarting its been so good so far, hopefully it doesnt happen again. QUOTE(terence8 @ May 9 2010, 01:12 PM) this is actually very subjective..i agree with dvlzplayground..because most of the uni is using windows..therefore using iwork might be some problems in converting the format..but in terms of function which is better? yeah most uni uses windows. i personally liked iWork alot better but the compatability issue has forced me to stick to microsoft office, if not there is no other way for me to publish my work. powerpoint doesnt support most of keynote's formate (ie. transitions and fonts). well unless of cos you publish them as a movie. |

QUOTE(mannquin @ Jun 21 2010, 03:15 PM) Hey guys, I need some opinions on this matter. I found this one guy on this one popular website. He told me sometimes once every two months he gets a $2000 Apple Gift Card and usually spend it on buying Macbooks and sell it and he claims that he's been doing that for quite a while. I didn't ask from where did he get the card tho my head keeps questioning who on earth would be getting that much of Gift Card. I've faith in him and we're gonna meet up tomorrow. bro if you think this is a good deal and that you dont wanna miss it, why dont you COD at an apple retail outlet and get everything checked out - from the imei to the serial number. to make sure that the seller is not selling stolen units of faulty ones.He offered me a brand new and sealed Macbook 15 core i5 2.4 GHz for a price of RM4800 The other offer is, an opened box Macbook 17 core i7 for RM5600 I'm more inclined to the i7 but the problem is, I fear there is something wrong with it and I'd prefer new stuff if possible not used ones but the price is hard to resist They both come with a proof of purchase and was bought a week ago as he mentioned. So my concerns are, 1) Is there any possibility that those are stolen units? (because the prices are just too good to be true but they come with a receipt) 2) For the i7, what's the worst problem could I be facing up to a point the warranty won't cover it? Provided that my budget is just nice for the i7, and I can't afford a new one with a regular price, if you guys were in my shoes which one do you think I should grab? Any advice on what I should check, compare, examine, etc? even comparing it to retail pricing, rm4.8k is alot of money. so if you wanna grab this bargain, better make the extra effort to make sure everything else is legit. as for the option, i wud go for the i7 one if i were you. |

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Jun 21 2010, 10:03 PM) if its charge... then juz charge until full lar. if its health, dun worry abt it. 97% is normal. if u wanna make it 100% then u need to find a way to defy physics QUOTE(cRazYee @ Jun 21 2010, 11:46 PM) well oh its normal?okay. cos when someone mentioned 'calibrate' in the earlier post, i thought there is a way for me to adjust perhaps some settings to make it 100% again. so what you're saying is, as time goes by, the percentage will decrease?bro, think it this way how much it weight for 1% 96% after one year laptop? this is very normal just get on with it currently this is the info from my mac: Charge Information: Charge remaining (mAh): 4145 Fully charged: Yes Charging: No Full charge capacity (mAh): 4320 Health Information: Cycle count: 61 Condition: Normal |
