It should be unaffected as the bank will migrate the points over - you'll lose your points if you cancel your card prior to redemption.

most probally,u cant get approved.unless u can show good repayment and proof of income that can convince bank,it all subject to approval

hello there, i just start working in government sector, i think i need a cc, can u recommend some of the best cc, i dont know what criteria to look in choosing cc, im also lazy to read all version of this thread and im plan to hav only one cc for my convenience

for basic & entry level, easy & fast to apply if u hold a degree is CIMB DA Gold Mastercard & Visa....They're giving generous limit too..

benefit can get rebates for petrol & groceries....

i thk u better hold on a while until the RM50 service fee gets clarify.
and also the cc's benefit might change

not sure how true is this...but I heard a Maybank staff telling another guy that the RM50 service tax is supposed to be effective January 2010. But MBB won't charge yet until they've made a decision on how to offset this tax for their customers...maybe in Dec.

ur past 3 months expenditure exceed 1k, and u paid in full, then charge u, but giv u petrol voucher Rm50 to offset XD

Then I have no reason to keep DA anymore...
unless DA is free for like and bank will pay the rm50 for us, then I might consider to keep.

EON also u can't call to change ur address as they ask u go to their branch but anyway u can write a snail mail to them it works for me

oh shit, read another news on The Star paper, 1 minister saying if banks are to absord the RM50 charges, the prudent spending objectives by Najib is defeated.

actually what he said is true...

so in the end, best solution is to cancel our cards. I can't cancel some coz got installment on them. I wonder if I can just apply to pay them full so that I can cancel the cards?
