some banks auto increase your limit when u pay for the 12 months installment which includes the the total amount u would have to pay for the item so in your case your CL will go to 7k

UOB used to be good but now it's getting worst .... the only good thing is they call u to verify the online transactions but now they slowly push forward the payment due date each date for each month without u realizing and u would get the late payment/finance charges however u can still call them to waive it ... i did try to call them to push back the dates however they say they can't .... so they can move forward automatically but can't push it backwards ? last time u just have to call one time to get the waivers for anything but now u have to call few times as they reply is there is no logs or application that you have called to waive it .... come on i even take down the names of the cs person and u still say i cannot ask about that person and the waiver don't exist ? damn stupid

My CCs were just being fraud 3 days ago to make a total of 5 payments to Astro with a total amount of RM1000. Happened to 2 different CCs one had 3 transactions for maybank CC and another one had 2 for public bank CC so its just a reminder for everyone to make sure the safety of their CCs.

Please keep yourself updated with the transactions going on your Credit Card frequently so you can inform the bank immediately if there is any suspicious transactions.

I wonder why that person only fraud to make payments for Astro though and it happened to 2 different CCs on the same day. My cards have always been safe with me.

It's only a marketing gimmick. Even public can apply for SCB VI now.
I didn't apply for SCB Plat cc as I have already got other SCB cards. Even if I apply for it, I won't be given RM100 as the welcome gifts will only be given to new customers.
*
i am a new customer but i apply the justone at the bank so no RM100 for me.

Except the various PB privileges, other features of the SCB PB VI are same as the normal SCB VI.
SCB did give RM50 rebate as an early bird incentive to 1st 1000 approved Just1 cardholders. Besides, it also gave 5000 choice points to each Just1 members as a welcome gift. I guess you will still be given 5000 choice points.

*
actually u will only get the RM50 if u call them through the number. since me and my frens apply directly at the bank we do not entitle for it. i found out cos scb call me after 2 weeks i applied at the bank and they said u have to go through them in order to get the RM50. do u have your 5000 choice points on your eStatement ? as i still don't have it i did call to CS and they say they will put a request in that's all

Oh so this card got nice rebate so they temporarily suspend the application? Normal Platinum don't have rebate right? JustOne also have the RM100 credit?
*
justone was having technical issues so they suspend the card too. I guess the first batches are the guinea pigs to test what else is wrong with the card before they relaunch the card. I think the early birds got RM50 and it was in this website previously.

I don't bother. It requires you to carry forward balance in order to get the rebate.

The best cash back CCs at this moment are SCB Just1, Alliance Plat and Alliance Younique.
*
are all citibank cards require that to get the rebate ?

I attempted to do this several years back actually and I can tell you it is not that easy. You need to provide proof of the additional fee to begin with and retailers are also smart to mask this. They will usually combine the base price and the additional fee to provide the appearance of a single fee. They won't be so stupid to list in the receipt

1. Price Item                          RM xxx
2. Mastercard/VISA fees          RM xxx

One idea that I could think of it

a. If they retailer put up a notice of the additional fee, capture that image as proof and send it to Mastercard / VISA International and cc it to their merchant bank.
b. If the merchant think they are smart then record their attempt to ask you for that fee.
,
Believe me ... the fines are substancial enough to deter the merchant to repeat the offense. I can't remember the number but if I remember it correctly it is something like first offense RMx,xxx and second offense RMxx,xxx + extra condition. In the US when the consumer is able to successfully challenge a chargeback then the retailer will refund the cash coz if the retailer wishes to fight on and loses - it is a hefty fine to pay!

If you ask me the best weapon is the consumer itself. So long consumer are willing to pay this fee then the retailer will continue to pass the charges to the consumer. I think cc sales makes up a substancial chunk of their total sale so that's why they have the terminal there. If the consumer boycott them (or walk away from these shops), sales drop and they have no choice but to bow to the consumer demands for no additional fee cc transactions.

My suspicion is that ... let's say the retailer charges you 2% and the one next door charges you 3%. Probably the one charging you 3% want to pass on the costs of the cc terminal rental to you! (The one which is used to swipe your card)
*
could u give the link or email we can send the proof to ?
