Agreed ! Or even better three cards maximum. One VISA, one Mastercard and one AMEX  laugh.gif

They should only tax from the 4th card forward. RM50 might be a bit low. Why not make it RM500 ?  laugh.gif

But I prefer 5 cards, which are Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, JCB, Diners Club. tongue.gif

No point keeping JCB and Diners Club as the acceptance rate for these two are even worse then AMEX. When you go overseas, you will still be able to find stores that accept AMEX but there is hardly any stores displaying the JCB or Diners Club logo.

I will only keep 2 credit cards i.e. Maybank Visa Petronas and AMEX Gold Credit. These 2 cards fulfill all my needs in the following manner:

1) I get 5X points when I fill up at Shell with my AMEX
2) I also get 5x points when I fill up at Petronas with my Maybank Visa Petronas card
3) Both are free for life
4) I can use my AMEX to purchase tickets at Air Asia. Can also use to buy MAS ticktes via tele-payment.
5) I can shop online globally using my AMEX card via the AMEX global online shopping portal called globaleshop.
6) I can use my Maybank Visa Petronas card to purchase stuff using Maybank EzyPay scheme. Merchants offerring Maybank EzyPay scheme are
plentiful.
7) I can shop at selected stores in One Utama using my Treats Points. I was told the number of stores are increasing.
8) I can make payment to both cards through M2U. So convenient.

A combination made in heaven..if I may say so.

Your AMEX Gold Credit is not the Ikhwan Gold Credit Card.

If that's the case, my combo is more prefect than yours. tongue.gif

9) I can earn TP from both Maybank Visa Petronas and Ikhwan AMEX Gold Credit. No seperate Membership Rewards.

It depends on what MBB to offer. They haven't come out with the "workaround" plan.

I'll throw away my MBB Visa Classic first! Next to go will be CIMB DA since there's an easy payment attached to it.

I'll most likely keep both of them or go away with MBB Visa Petronas.

Ahah, we have the same combo, hehe. I'm just waiting for both my Ikhwan cards to arrive. My conversion is done, and the cards already appeared in M2U. Will hold on to both first, coz I don't wanna miss out on Ikhwan Amex's 5X TP on fuel, as Shell's RON97 is my favourite. Their RON95 sucks though. The Petronas one better. Will probably hold on to both, no matter what MBB decides to do with Najis' order.

I have three Auto Debit instructions attached to my Maybank Visa Petronas and therefore, it's kind of troublesome to divert it to my Ikhwan AMEX. Apart from that, Great Eastern does not accept AMEX.

As I know most of the insurance companies don't accept Amex or Dinners. Prudential and HLA only accept Visa & MasterCard.

Submitted my conversion from thru snail mail. After about two weeks, the cards appeared in my M2U. Your present cards can still be used until you get the new cards.

I'm still worried about that, coz it doesn't get migrated in M2U. Will clear it up with them later.

What to do, everyone knows they are related to the PM and that's the best way to get the message across to him fast & clear tongue.gif

Btw, anyone know if the SCB VI is still available for application? From their site, it seems to imply that its only for their Priority Banking customer hmm.gif

If I were to keep 2 cards, I will make sure:
1. Each from different bank.
2. From Visa and Mastercard. AMEX too unreliable on acceptance.
