Yeah, you could get it by reconnecting before but I don't think that you can get it automatically anymore. Trust me the IP is now really fakap. It was good until the nationwide disconnection last week, since then I'm getting very high pings to Singapore servers and only SG.

Still no prob with the locals and EUs tho, good pings around 220ms to my mmorpg game server located in Germany.
To***** also full-speed without using "vee P en"(but I think any IP would do the same as long as you're using modded client).

The only problem now, I can't play FPS games since the Ventrilo and the good servers are based in SG and It's really something for me to QQ about because I play more fps than doing anything else. I'm stuck with this IP range, reconnecting forever will never let me out from 218. Called 100 to change mine to 115 and they said no more slots >_>.

my problem is same with urs, bad technician.

what i did was,

1) technican came on 15/4. said after 24 hours I will get full speed of 4mb

2) 16/4. my speed still around 1.5mb. I call my tech, he didnt anwser and reply my phone. SMS also ignored. Fine. I call 100 and log a report. Any complaints without a report is useless and waste of ur phone money. 100 asked me to call my technician because of 14 days warranty and I said I failed to call them because they didnt pickup the phone or reply my phone.

3) 17/4. I call/sms tech guy again and this time I mention that I already logged my case to TM with report number etc etc..at the same time, I call TM too to know the status and complaint that im not getting good service from technician. I explained that my 4mb account already been activated and the new bill already start kicking in but im still not getting 4mb speed.

4) 20/4. As usual call/sms tech guy and call 100 again. This time, maybe they fedup already, TM call the tech, and that tech guy straight away pickup the phone! what a mess. and a few minutes later, that tech call me back and explain he will come back to my house on 21/4.

5) 21/4. Tech guy come, check my speed, still 1.5mb. He call his friend, 10 minutes later, my speed already 4mb.

6) finally,write email to TM requestin rebate from 16/4 - 21/4. 6 days rebate there. Thats y u must log and have a report number there.

Is the 4Mb line is available there (most of places) and how is the line over there?

Another question is can i register Steamyx 4Mb on shop address?

Wow. Finally got my Streamyx today. My fixed line was installed last Monday, but nobody call me after over a week. Call to those TMPOINT or 100 number all useless. Said they'll call me back, but never did. So finally, i stormed TMPOINT DU with guns blazing and rocket lauching yesterday...threatened them to burn down the shop if they don't get it fix for me pronto...

...okok.......

I exageratted a bit. tongue.gif

Anyway, i make a hell lot of noise there, those incompetent TMFOOLS for some reason misplaced my Application Form (according to one noob looking staff there)...somemore said the form is with one of the staff and she/he is 'resting' and can't be found. WTF!! That is your problem! Not mine!! Then another equally incompetent TMFOOL came and ask me about my old line..which i already have CANCELLED 3 TIMES (Once at Celcom(it's a Home,Hop,Awat package), twice at this idiot branch itself). Luckily he didn't ask me to fill up another termination form or i'll HAVE HIM TERMINATED.

Finally, one senior looking dude came over and help out these bunch of useless noobies. At least, he knows how to handle customer. Promised me he'll call me the same day. I told him make sure to call me or i'll come looking for him. Yesterday, after 6pm, the guy only call me. But i was driving, so i told him to SMS the contractor mobile no to me. But he never did. I was thinking to send to nuke to the TMPOINT DU the next day, luckily for him, some malay lady called up after 8pm(yes 8pm!! You see, if you don't blast them kaw-kaw,they never do any work.).

Today i called the contractor, unfortunately, it seems my job is to be handle by another contractor, thankfully, this guy is very prompt and send me an SMS for contact detail to the right person. (But he still got the name of this guy wrong). Anyway, this guy is very prompt and arrived at my place slightly after 12pm. And the things is settled. Unfortunately, i tried to coax him to cap the ADSL port higher, but he refused and gave me excuses like line not stable or can only work in Condo and not landed house. I look at my SNR and Line Attenuation and it rates at about 32db and 29db respectively, which is considered excellent!

I initially thought to belanja him 100plus, but since he won't do the higher cap for me...i took back my drinks...muahahahaha!!

So now my speed is about 3.5Mbps....okler, it's more than 3 times faster than my previous 1Mbps line. Maybe i complain later to TM....haha.

waited for 1 weeks for the home line set up, this morning they called in, book me @ 2pm to set up the home line... and i waited for 2 hours. called them, got 2 respond
1 say many appoinment, cannot finish today, another say problem with tm phone line, need to do tomorrow..ZZZzz
now i m still waiting for the home line... my friend got everything done in 2 days....
why am i so unlucky...ZZzz

me also within 2days got 4mbps already...but the range is around 3.2mbps to 3.4mbps only... next week i tried to ask them cap higher..

They did some sort of tweaking just now, I suddenly lost connection then I lost my phone dial tone as well for about 15mins. Now I check the modem, I am cap at 2047 from 5118 WTF. Complain to lvl 2 CS, who kept asking me to do speedtests even though the modem already shown it as 2047. Claims they are not doing any maintenance at my area. Of cause the TM's speedtests shows 1522kbps #%^*#(!@^#(

Update: Its sorted out, seems Penang tech were moving me to different port due to my complains about few "dead ips". Called & told me they recapped me back to 5116. SNR Margin seems to be very low hopefully it will get back up soon.

Update 2: They now wanted to recap it to 4096 seems my SNR Margin is at 12.3, previously cap at 5120 different port I was able to get between SNR 23-28. Claims can't do any more tweaking except downgrade to 4096 cap.

Update 3: SNR Margin seems to increased to 21.4 and no longer under 15.0, I will probably decline the downgrade.

Update 4: Now it drops to 15.8 Argggg, WTF! Previously at old port in SNR 20s was quite stable.

my 4mb is totally cant use after 6pm .... everydays also same , the speed is not stable and so slow >.< some time only 24kbps ++ who can help T_T

what do you mean by "dead ips"? I wanted TM to change my dslam.. my house is located between 2 dslam.. one which i was connected right now doesn't support 4mbps.. i wanted them to change my line to another dslam for 4mbps line but i don't know how to request from them.. rclxub.gif

Go to TM point and try to reason with them, or SKMM

I'm currently facing a similar issue. Though mine is the long distance that results in low SNR.
Have requested them to move the line to a nearer DSLAM. They did this once already, since initially my line distance was too long to even allow me to apply for 4mbps.
They wrote an email to (I assume) northern region HQ - Penang, since I registered at Cyberjaya for Alor Setar homeline. No reply since 1 week ago, so I wrote SKMM a 'love letter'. Hopefully they update me soon.

an advice for you, do not complaint within 14 days, 100 will give you all sort of reason:
1.) please contact technician
2.) 'doing' maintenance on your 'area'
3.) speedtest not stable is due to 2.

I am a victim of complaint on 14 days for higher cap , they changed to a bad port as in bad SNR doh.gif compare to initial shocking.gif rclxub.gif

if ur modem is set on adsl2+,
change ur modem mode to g.dmt and ur snr will boost up! biggrin.gif
