I have the order sheet, it says 2.62km, technician said most properly not good for 4mbps. Hmm, but few days now on 4mbps just fine.

My experience so far, and come to some facts within TM now:
1. TM has '4meg Customer Support'
2. New Streamyx installation 'under warranty' by the Installer/Technician for 14 days.

Installer/Technician is the one that go to your house and do setting.

I also facing 'not reaching' 4mbps, in turn hoping TM to crap my port to 5mbps, they hesitate to take up my case, since on point 2. And asking me to refers back to the Installer to move my port to IP DSLAM, he said I am on 'old' DSLAM. IP DSLAM is new. I called Installer and installer asked me to ask TM to call him, in fact, it was TM ask me to call installer.

This is getting complicated. By the way, right now I speedtest to HongKong, it was like 1mbps, yesterday was better around 2-3mbps.

I believe that if you are 'old' customer (> 14 days), you can ask for '4meg customer support' thru 100.

I know why, because TM has this 'strange' policy. All new installation under 'Installer' care. That's why he said 2 weeks.

how many days now? he said he will call back right? if you still persists, then you might want to give 100 another try, ask to speak to '4meg Customer Support', usually, he/she will gather your detail, if they want to hook you up, then good, if not, they will get them to call you back next working day.

I now waiting TM to call me back.

RM75 fixed line deposit, RM30 fixed line wiring, + additional wiring charges RM50 for first 5 metre and RM5 for subsequent each metre

that what they charged me for fixed line installation

unless your pc location are all in the same or you are fine with LAN wiring in place, you can opt for 8-port switch, you can just use the WiFi modem provided by TM, one WiFi G USB is like 30myr nowadays.

This was so bad. I complaint, the previously put me on 60.x ip, which is good, now, I can't get back 60.x, due to the strange 14 days 'Technician' warranty, TM not doing any proactive thing.

I guess, everyone mileage with TM is different.

Luckily he didn't ask me to fill up another termination form or i'll HAVE HIM TERMINATED.

Finally, one senior looking dude came over and help out these bunch of useless noobies. At least, he knows how to handle customer. Promised me he'll call me the same day. I told him make sure to call me or i'll come looking for him. Yesterday, after 6pm, the guy only call me. But i was driving, so i told him to SMS the contractor mobile no to me. But he never did. I was thinking to send to nuke to the TMPOINT DU the next day, luckily for him, some malay lady called up after 8pm(yes 8pm!! You see, if you don't blast them kaw-kaw,they never do any work.).

Today i called the contractor, unfortunately, it seems my job is to be handle by another contractor, thankfully, this guy is very prompt and send me an SMS for contact detail to the right person. (But he still got the name of this guy wrong). Anyway, this guy is very prompt and arrived at my place slightly after 12pm. And the things is settled. Unfortunately, i tried to coax him to cap the ADSL port higher, but he refused and gave me excuses like line not stable or can only work in Condo and not landed house. I look at my SNR and Line Attenuation and it rates at about 32db and 29db respectively, which is considered excellent!

I initially thought to belanja him 100plus, but since he won't do the higher cap for me...i took back my drinks...muahahahaha!!

So now my speed is about 3.5Mbps....okler, it's more than 3 times faster than my previous 1Mbps line. Maybe i complain later to TM....haha.

an advice for you, do not complaint within 14 days, 100 will give you all sort of reason:
1.) please contact technician
2.) 'doing' maintenance on your 'area'
3.) speedtest not stable is due to 2.

I am a victim of complaint on 14 days for higher cap , they changed to a bad port as in bad SNR doh.gif compare to initial shocking.gif rclxub.gif
