Simple. If you wanna train your hamstrings, there are many better options.
Do glute ham raises, reverse hypers, romanian deadlifts (if u have good form), high pulls, plyos, back squats or even running.

I do get hamstring and calf cramps when I don't have enough rest or when I exert too much strength after training quads. Glute ham raises would still cramp them up, I tried. So a better alternative might be warming up a bit before training and then start on hamstrings first before training quads.

Whenever i do single leg squat (pistol squat) the quad of the leg hanging will tend to cramp.

why? lack of strength?

Flexibility issue, if I'm not mistaken.

Lack of strength in the hip flexors, or simply not firing... yet.
Hanging leg raise can help. Or simply doing more pistols.

OK! a great thank to you. i think that is the problem. as whenever i tight to doing hanging leg raise, the quad got slight cramp too.
will add knee raise in my coming routine.

best leg workout besides the normal weights = uphill running
in my opinion at least
cuz i've been doing serious uphill HIIT, and it did good to add strength to my quads, hams and calves

I've updated my Journals but seems it still hidden some where down there... So I update kat sini la,

I'm standing around 76kg now and I'm at my 2week of bulk. Lost a few kg but will try to gain back some mass and quality muscle. Target weight is 82kg again.
