I guess I need to do shrug. what poundage donno. Cause I tot deadlift and rows already build the traps ?
*
lol, deadlift do trained trap, but i think row is very minimal

for better trap, try doing upright row or power clean

http://stronglifts.com/the-ultimate-beginn...o-power-cleans/

if you have a strap, you can go with very heavy shrug with barbell or dumbell lo.

but the above i listed i have'nt done before lol, i mainly focus on 5big compound

guys, i'm currently looking for workout program and found one at bb.com. is it suitable for my bulking?

# Squats 1 X 8 - 10 reps
# Leg Extensions 1 X 8 - 10 reps
# Leg Curls 1 X 8 - 10 reps
# Dumbbell Pullovers 1 X 8 - 10 reps
# Barbell Overhead Shoulder Press 1 X 8 - 10 reps
# Seated Rows 1 X 8 - 10 reps
# Bench Press 1 X 8 - 10 reps
# Barbell Bicep Curls 1 X 8 - 10 reps
# Tricep Extensions 1 X 8 - 10 reps
# Weighted Pullups 1 X 8 - 10 reps
# Weighted Dips 1 X 8 - 10 reps
# Standing Calf Raises 1 X 8 - 12 reps
# Abs - 1 X 10 - 15 reps
*
As i told you, ignore those other program, just stick with the Stronglift or Rippetoe program until you can squat 1.2-1.5BW, pair with GOMAD

You can build a strong base and pack of alot of muscle if you do it right. from you current pic, you still looks very skinny. sorry to say so.. wink.gif

actually i think i can do much heavier... probably in the regions of 80 kgs... but the thing is... i need to train for explosiveness, speed and agility....so im focusing on high reps...... need to be able to immediately stimulate the whole muscle on fast repitions... hence the jump squats and full squats.... i never do half squats cause that will limit my range of mobility in the long run

ive seen guys with huge quads.....t.h.e.y. a.r.e. s.l.ow....... not slow in  a straight line... but slow in changing direction and also pivot agility..... i need more muscle mass in my calves now due to the fact that i believe my calves are the weakest link..... if my calves output can match my quads.. ill be able to increase power output without increasing weight = higher jump + similar agility.... ............

Added on September 14, 2009, 5:25 pmactually i can clean about 60 kgs but i do it to begin my squat.... / military press...... have dun it b4... push press? whats that

i thought the reason u squat low poundage b'coz no rack?

Badminton shoes has a rubbery substance between as a shock absorbent. This isn't something you want, because it reduces the force transfer between the floor and you. An analogy?
Try jumping on sponges.

You won't be able to transfer force maximally and it's unstable as well.

Often they also cause you to have your feet (because of the protective shock absorbent padding), kinda like move inwards and can cause ACL tears. Not good at all. This is especially true, if you don't have good technique, and I maybe 80% of gym goers DON'T have good technique. Trust me on this one. So many times, I can see the flaws that you guys are doing, that's cutting your power short. EG: Diving into the hole and then straining out.

QUOTE(giaogiao @ Oct 1 2009, 09:55 PM)
Hi, 1st time to be at this thread.

I remember when I was the heaviest, I'm 110kg.  blink.gif
Then, I joined gym (for fun, at that time).

Later, got the semangat to lose some weights. I took 3in1 coffee + 4 or 5 scoops of Quaker's Oat every morning. And i skipped lunch, use up my lunch time to go to the gym. (People eat, I gym.) For dinner, I took in a bit more rice, to avoid myself from get hungry at late night for supper. Then, at the same time lots of my not-so-pro (but still more experienced than me lah) friend taught me. Here a bit there a bit.

Till recent few months, when i visit gym, i will first jog for full 20mins (with 1 or 2 rest in between).
Then, i do: Dumbbell Bench Press + Dumbell Shoulder Press + Barbell Curl + Preacher Curl + Pumping + Others (What crap also do).
Sequence sometimes not same lah. If got strength, will do all. Sometimes too tired, cant finish all.
Each exercise do 3 sets, 1 set 8-12 times.

The best weight I achieved was about 93kg. I took me about a year. Now, cuz stop gym for 1 month already. I still do some simple training at home. Eg: Dumbell Shoulder Press + Pumping + Sit up etc. But still gained back a little weight, back to 95kg.  shocking.gif  Waddefark?

Want to ask, if I look my side from the mirror, i definitely look not-so-thick (as in big tummy) anymore. But from front, I can't see my waist getting smaller. May be not noticeable lah. I tried to add in Dumbbell Side Bend into my training. May be I'm impatient. But, i don't any noticeable improvement.  rclxub.gif

Any advice or any training to recommend?

The MAIN MAIN MAIN MAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn problem is your diet!!!

why? skipped meal, starve too long between meal, your body thought you are going to die, metabolism goes down, the next meal you take, they will tend to stored as much fat as they can as you are going to die soon. but luckily you still survive and gain 2kg back, ya 2kg fat! with such diet, eventhought your weight down to 70kg, you still looks like fat ass. go read more on what is proper diet. what is protein, carb, fat bla bla bla

Damn, walking like a duck, DOMS just rocks my ass and leg doh.gif

actually i wanna do squat and weight lifting but i dare not malu cz so many experts and geng ppl there dun wanna look stupid infront of them sad.gif

jz like last time, when i started gym, i only did treadmill, till i observed observed and observed then only started slowly with other machines.
*
you looks even more stupid by just doing biceps curls and abs only...zzz

well, everyone was once a noob.

i still remember when i 1st started, i squat with two pusxy 7.5kg dumbell, and there is one fellow named john said something like:" pusxy can lift more than you."
BUT who cares? as long as you know what you are doing, read read and read, there is so much of usefull info in internet. Stronglift 5x5, rippetoe, stick to the basic.
just so you know,by today i am able to squat 110kg++, no one teach me how to squat, bench press bla bla, youtube is my sifu, rippetoe ebook is my sifu, and lyn'ian too. lyn'ian can be very helpful if you really tried something and goes wrong they will guide you. but if not really do your study, they no even give you a fucck.

Serious shit man...I don't even know what carb cycling is. Haha, if you count basketball for an hour once a week as cardio. Honestly, I don't do much reading on the net and have almost no clue about dieting. I just read training articles occasionally and then piece together a workout that I think would work then do it. I can't live without having gravy or sauce on my food. Can't stand dry rice. Genes maybe lol.
