Like I said before, forget about calling 123 if your 30 days wait time is up. Go straight to Maxis Center and collect your phone. Those 123 people don't have a clue what is happening in the front line. They will resort to the usual explanations. Those are to control their customers' expectations. This is not a world famine/hunger due to food shortage guys. Do not believe them.

Maxis Exclusive Partners, there were a few forumers here that managed to get pre-paid, but I'm not sure which one they went to, it's somewhere in this thread, around page 40-80 i guess. or you try using the search engine, search for "iphone 3gs prepaid RM500". cause I remember there's one guy that got the prepaid plan, but had to pay RM500 pre-booking fee.

I got my iphone just before raya on last saturday, waiting period cun cun 30days. this only happenned when i keep pressuring them i need my phone in 30days due to some reasons.

Hints when call 123:(this only applies if you booked at maxis center)
1. Keep telling them a good reason why u need the phone to arrive on time(e.g. 30days)...
2. If they satisfied with your answer, they will basically write and e-mail to the maxis center that you booked.
3. Walk in to the maxis center and raise your concern to them again. Then shall able to see the e-mail forwarded by the maxis 123.

If this is not good enough, write e-mail to them. You can found the e-mail at maxis website. I found calling 123 + writing e-mail to them is more effective.
Then, after my 4th day of complain, maxis HQ call me and said that they arrange a phone for me to get before raya and said that maxis center will called me for arrangement.

But i rather pro-active, i walked in to the maxis center where i booked my phone, tell them maxis HQ have made something special arrangement for me. The ppl there said, "really?" and ask me who is the name of the person that called me? I told them i dunno but i know is a lady. So they check their e-mail and then say ya, i will get my phone the next day due to the courier not arrive.

So, went into the maxis center again the next day - i just walk into the maxis center, the maxis lady saw me and walk into the room, and BINGO! She come out with a black iphone 3gs in her hands....and I know i'm getting my phone finally! Paid the phone, setup the iphone and got everything done in <1hour.

So, i bet the 6th batch has arrived this week. So, guys who booked their phone in August month should go and check out in the maxis center. Sometimes, they don't bother to call you or sms because they have too many customers booking iphone!

and i personally think maxis won't bring huge huge stock come in one time cos previously in batch 4th and 5th, rumours said maxis bring in big batch to meet all the demands....and now 6th batch liao, ppl booked in august also still waiting...

just start ur facebook group about maxis problem...i hope celcom or digi will handle next gen apple device since maxis like annoy n cheat people.waste the time n like to lie n poor management.

I rmb Maxis Centre accept Maybank CC and HSBC CC.. my Maxis Centre tell me no interest and 0% everymonth.. just divide the amount into 12.. if not mistaken.. they told me Maybank can up to 24 months..

Got a called this morning from Maxis. A lady who 'pledged' to resolve my problems 1 week ago now tell me that apparently she or other Maxis staff did not realize that Maxis Center@The Gardens already made necessary arrangements for my booking. The phone is already there waiting. So I fed back how I felt to the lady. I gave as much information as possible because I know the conversation was recorded. At least I hope it'll improve their service.

This shows a few things:

1. They are really clueless.
2. Maxis Centers operate independent of what happens in the HQ and HQ doesn't really know whats the condition in the front line.
3. No collaboration.

So forget about 123, be proactive, go straight to Maxis Center if your wait time is up. A lot of people say Asian companies have problems with communication where there's 'MISCOMMUNICATION' or 'LACK OF COMMUNICATION'. I disagree. In my many years working in Malaysia (and I'm a Malaysian dude), people DON'T and REFUSE to communicate. Period.

I think they will. It doesn't matter how you pay because their official receipt will record it as one off payment. Thats what matter. Their internal accounting office will be able to resolve it pretty easy. Of course, its just more work to do. Its a matter of convenience rather than possibility. They don't charge you the processing fee for using credit card so they don't lose. Some retail stores do not accept it because the lower amount committed into credit card would mean a smaller cut. With a lower amount, it'll take a longer time to reach a minimum transaction where processing fee would be waived. Its a matter of the bank and the retailer. Nothing to do with customers.

Anyway, its better you resolve this with Maxis Center about the possibilities in mode of payment. Don't take my word for it.

Booked mine on 9th sept and got a call from maxis today and collected just now. Never call for status or anything because i expect at least 2 months to receive it. Very good service maxis ampang point.

wow so fast..........i booked mine on 2nd Sept and still nothing but already called to maxis 123 today and they said will get back to me before 3pm. Anyhow, i'll pay a visit to cheras maxis center later since alot of people area getting their iphone respectively already.

i booked mine on 29th also no news, once I call the MEP dey say u have to wait 1 month~ Not we du1 give u the phone but the stock is not arrived yet~
