Same here, I booked mine on the 23rd of September (Sunday). Feels like giving a run and get another phone.

well back in malaysia, i patronised machines (and other equivalent apple resellers locally) regularly as i couldn't afford buying them, i thought the least i could do is to experience apple products on hand.

they are not at all "lansi" as portrayed by you to be honest.

either you have incredibly high expectation of them or overly conscious or how the /k/ would call it; face problem

if prepaid package does not appear in half october i will decide to burn my money at PC Hardware n wait next gen iPhone with 1 GHz or dual core Proc n will buy it in Arab Saudi...hahaha...since maxis services is very poor...until now they still make i3GS ad even they have a lot booking list n low of stock.

I have ordered an Iphone 16GB from Maxis last week and will collect the unit somewhere next week. Do you think that Maxis will give me the 3.1 firmware or the old 3.01. If it is 3.1, then maybe I cancel the purchase.

i just received a call from Maxis, the girl nicely told me that there might be a 45 days delay.. (i tot that she ask me to collect iphone).. after i heard of the delay.. my mood straight turn to    .... i F her saying that
- according to the form, waiting period is 30days, i expect no longer than that
- maxis offer any type of compensation? since u cannot make it within 30days.. and we paid deposit for the phone.. we commit.. u cant?
- by 1-Oct, i will straight go to Maxis Centre and ask for my phone
- a lot people are getting their iphone even for those that booked after me
- stop telling me that Iphone is worldwide shortage, nationwide shortage, overbook..
- if overbook, dont advertise!!!
- there is no point of calling me and tell me that i cant get my phone on 1-Oct !!

I also will go to try and ask my phone status. Hopefully dun disappoint me. Pls.....

Collected the iPhone yesterday, never connect/sync with PC at all. Just switched on and to our surprise in the App store someone’s itune a/c has already login. At the bottom there “Account: ****@gmail.com”. The maxis staff unwrapped and unboxed the iPhone in front of us and she activated it on the spot. Could we have gotten a refurbished/secondhand unit?

Our suspicion arose because there has been a mistake on the booking date, my brother and I booked the iPhone on the 27 of August and due to some misunderstanding between the centre staffs they cancel our booking halfway through the waiting period, our booking is not in the system when we demand for the iPhone on the 26 of Sept since is already 30 days. They have iPhones arrived on the day but they told us all had already been tagged with customer names. However, they assure us on the spot that they will follow up with Headquarter and arrange a special unit for us by next week. Indeed they managed to give us the phone yesterday after I received a call in the morning that the special arranged iPhone is here. Could the ‘special’ unit be none other then a refurbished/secondhand unit? Hope you guys can share your thoughts.

it is a norm for Apple to ship out refurbish unit as new, this is a norm ... replacing all wear and tear parts will deem the unit as new ...

i would say its actually ok if the unit is unboxed with the plastic seal in front of him ... but yeah if u pay a brand new price u expect the unit to be BRAND new rite ... but the activation from the itune will not do that i believe ...

but i am a noob with iphone dont trust me ...
